The Westin Galleria Houston

The location can't be beat if you're going to the galleria! The rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. The staff was great!

I didn't realize that there are two Westins at the Galleria, and we went to the wrong one first. Not a huge deal, but it seems to happen often enough that they have maps already printed out with directions to walk through the mall to the other one. SO, just keep that in mind if you decide to self park, and double check you have the right side of the mall so you don't have to schlep luggage through the mall.

I like the location, the bar, the fact that the mall was right there. The pool was nice. The cleanness.

There was no coffee available in the lobby. My shower didn't work. The water didn't turn off. Maintenance came quick and fixed it so I thought. The next day the water didn't come on at all. I called for sheets for the sofa bed. The staff that brought the sheets in a timely manner. Smelled like a pound of weed.

Great location, nice staff, free parking. I was also given free early check in and late check out. We also enjoyed being connect to The Galleria mall.

Air conditioner cabinet door made a loud rattling noise but it was easily fixed by sitting our luggage against it. The bed was very firm. Some people would think that was a positive.

The location was perfect. We were not far from anything. Being located inside the Galleria Mall was definitely a plus!

Where to park and how to enter the hotel from the mall area could have been a little clearer.

STAFF WAS FREAT, FRIENDLY AND UNDERSTANDING IN A TIME OF GREAT STRESS, WE HAD TO MOVE IN BECAUSE OF NO POWER AND WATER, AND THIS WEATHER WOULD HAVE KILLED OUR PET. BOTTLED WATER WAS MADE AVAILABLE, AND WE WERE ABLE TO EXTEND OUR STAY FOR A FEW DAYS EASILY. EVERYONE, CLEANING STAFF, FRONT DESK STAFF WERE WONDERFUL, KIND AND HELPFUL.. WE EVEN GOT A MICROWAVE IN OUR ROOM AS WE GOT THERE EARLY AS THE STORM HIT. IT WAS A LIFE SAVER SO TO SPEAK.

COLD AIR CAME INTO HALL WAY FROM THE STAIRWELL, AND PEOPLE WOULD GO OUT AND IN THAT STAIRWELL AND ELAVE THE DOOR WIDE OPEN, AND THE COLD AIR WOJULD COME IN TO THE ROOM FROM INSIDE THE DOOR. ALSO THE BIG WINDOW IN THE ROOM LEAKED COLD AIR SO WE HAD TO KEEP THE BLINDS CLOSED AT ALL TIMES AND OUT PILLOWS AGAINST THE BLIND TO SLOW THE AIR FLOW.

The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and full of light at day time.

The bathroom was narrow mainly the wash basin was small and too close to the WC which was also small . The pillows weren’t comfortable and old, we asked for better ones but they didn’t give us any. We didn’t like the sheets to cover ourselves at sleep time because it wasn’t a douvet cover. There wasn’t any shower gel with the toilette ryes.

The location is super convenient, the rooms are comfortable and clean.

It seemed that due to the pandemic they had less personnel bc the service, although was good, was not what you'd expect for the price. Reception would not pick up the phone when you called from the room, and we had to ask like 4 times for help opening the safe that was locked when we arrived but none ever showed up, it was the cleaning lady who finally helped us.

I liked the fact that I arrived 30 minutes early and was able to check-in, I liked the comfortable bed that's important when you lay down to sleep, although, the windows were dirty I did like the view, I liked the large shower with "hot" water! My overall stay was excellent!!

I didn't like the traffic but I understand that was due to the upcoming Christmas holiday, however, I'm use to traffic during that time of year because I celebrate a birthday during that time as well. The other thing was the windows were dirty when I opened my curtains during the afternoon!

Breakfast was great and our server was very friendly. I slept great too which doesn't normally happen in a hotel.

Unfortunately the people next to us got really loud around 4:00 am and didn't stop until around 6:00 am. The hotel asked them to quiet down.
