Hyatt Place Houston Galleria

great location, 5-7 minutes walk to Galleria All the staff at reception is awesome and extremely helpful and full of courtesy and energy, specially want to mention Epi at the reception and Abdul at Valet are great! don’t know the names of people at reception, each and everyone there are fabulous!

Breakfast is terrible and significantly below par. just improve the breakfast and this hotel deserves above 9 rating. you have the right people!

The property was secure and the rooms were nice and clean. beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean, decent size. It was very quiet which was greatly appreciated. Maybe a 5 minimum walk to the Galleria Mall ( or 2 min drive) and accessible to major highways.

Our keys never worked. We had to get duplicates each day. Rekeying one always demagnetized the other two. that was very frustrating. They advertised self parking, had a completely empty parking garage attached, but only allowed for valet parking. the valet guys were great!!

The location is great! The room was nice, clean and spacious! Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good, but I wasn’t expecting much.

The bed was not so comfy! We stayed in a Marriott property in another city the day before so the mattress quality (lack thereof) stood out immediately. If I hadn’t been at a different hotel the day before, I may or may not have noticed this bus I did.

The beds were comfortable and the service was very good! The receptionists were excellent and very helpful in keeping our bags prior to check-in and bringing them out after check-in. The valet service was good and accommodating. The location felt safe and is just a few minutes walking distance from the Galleria. My friends and I enjoyed our time there.

The gym was nice and had signs saying to use a cleaning spray to clean the equipment due to COVID; however, I did not see any spray but there wipes. The parking was good but it was costly about $30 for each car per night.

The room and services were very good, although we had the problem of not having the room been done none of the days because of the pandemia.

The breakfast was not what expected. We were used of having an excellent breakfast at Hyatt, and we think that although having the pandemia, breakfast could be better. Also, when arriving, we were told that it was from 7 to 10 am, but they did not mention this schedule was only for the weekend.. so we lost breakfast on Monday.. Another thing is that because of the pandemia, the room was not done. I think that precisely, because of the pandemia, at least the bathroom does need to be done, in order to sanitize and to have everything clean.

Basic necessities such as room and breakfast were met. Rooms were well fitted with towels and a great A/C. Breakfast was not bad, lots of options available for a continental breakfast. Overall service of the employees at Hyatt Galleria Houston was great.

Parking was not good for us, we had to park at the Hyatt Regency to self park. The people who manned the parking entrance to Hyatt Houston Galleria told us that they only do valet parking for $29.99, but I was only staying one night less than 12 hours. I was angry that we could not just park ourselves at the place and had to go to the next door hotel and park.

Hotel let me check in at 9am once I arrived, and let me have the breakfast at the check-in day(Didnt get to have it thou, 9am was the time they withdraw breakfast service) Front desk agents were nice Room was big and clean, had a good view of the city Location was good, you could walk to Galerias mall and some nice resturants near by, pharmacy as well

There wasnt bottled water in the room, for sale in front desk with 3.75 $ each, that was expensive The blanket wasnt feeling nice.

Breakfast area was very large and clean and staff very friendly and food was very good. Room was huge and clean. Parking is nice but the door from the garage to the lobby needs to be unlocked so you can park to unload your vehicle and not cause a traffic jam when many people show up at the same time. The valet attendants were very friendly and helpful along with many other staff members 😀

Other guests that didn't pick up poop after pets and leaving garbage in the area where pets go do their business and one emptied the container holding used poop bags

Closeness to Galleria & restaurants. I think it should have public parking area for guest as well as valet. Because 39.99 a day is high, when you know we will not move our car hardly because of the area. It should be like Hyatt Place 29.00 w/ Public parking.

It wasn’t connected to the regency next door. I wanted to try the restaurant next door. I thought it was inconvenient I had to walk outside if they’re on the same property
