the location is great. just 1 mile from Reykjadalur Hot Spring Valley. Big pool and smaller hot tubs. the room had a TV, coffee making facilities and a hair drier. very comfortable beds. the staff were extremely friendly and polite and ready to help whenever you needed them. I really liked game room.

Prices in the restaurant are a bit steep £40+ for a main course, but over the road there is a quirky food hall with good choices at half the price per main

The quickest check-in to a hotel I have ever experienced! Location-wise, it's great for access to the Golden Circle, Raufarhólshellir Lava Tunnel, Reykjadalur Hike and as a stopping point en-route to the south coast. There is free parking at the hotel and it is plentiful! Breakfast is good, warm and cold options with plenty of gluten-free cereals and alternative milk options. Would highly recommend spending the extra for the Superior Rooms as these are well equipped and very quiet. For dinner, would recommend heading across the road to the Greenhouse or Olverk brewery/pizzeria for good quality food.

Honestly, couldn't fault it!

Great hot tub and swimming pool that we were able to use at the end of December. Towels provided in the pool area, so very nice that you don’t have to bring your own. Breakfast is very substantial with nice choice of food and drinks. If you are renting a car, location is amazing as you are in the nature and not in a busy city. The Hver restaurant food was absolutely divine, everything that we tried was fine dining level.

Bed not very comfortable and two single duvets provided instead of one double/king size. During breakfast for a number of days ketchup was missing and some croissants as well. Two days there wasn’t any soap down at the swimming pool.

I chose this spot as I was in the area and needed somewhere to stay for the night, it was quite well-priced for the inclusions. Breakfast has a lot of choices and tasted good. The block out curtains were really good and managed to block out all of the midnight sun which was very appreciated.

My only real problem with the property was there was about 15 12-15 year olds running up and down the corridor banging on walls and doors and screaming lots, but this isn't really the hotels fault and I can't complain much after booking in so late in the day.

A very smart hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. Good facilities, including swimming pool, table tennis and pool table. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was good. We had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant which was superb but expensive (by UK standards). The hotel is opposite an indoor food market with restaurant and shop. Nearby is a small shopping centre with supermarket, pharmacy and bakery. Easy drive to Selfoss and the Golden Circle.

Fantastic location, love facilities included an amazing heated pool and hot tub with a great food hall across the road. Staff were superb with the option for Northern Light wake up calls.

Rooms in the main section feel a little older than the side section however it seems like they’re in the process of renovating. Room however was lovely on the whole and the bed was very comfortable.

hotel is a little bit old/outdated from outside ... pools also not in best shape, but very good value for the money. free parking space available. breakfast was very good and plentyful. great spot to stay overnight in order to start the hike to the "Reykjadalur Valley - Bathing in the hot river" early morning - and be onw of the first there :-).

pools: not in best shape - changing rooms under renovation - so we needed to change in the hotel room - no bathrobe prepared in the room

I primarily booked this for the pool/hot tub… And it was even better than I had imagined. Except… The main slide and one hot tub were closed for some reason. That didn’t negatively affect our overall opinion though. Nice room, a little small (for what we’re used to) but all that we needed. The facilities overall were wonderful… really awesome common spaces. Wonderful breakfast. Great location on our journey, and very close to an abundance of options, such as restaurants, grocery, gas.

I do wish we had more time here!

The rooms was nice, clean and modern. The bathroom was especially lovely. The restaurant was delicious. The pool was warm and relaxing to get in after a long day. The free breakfast was on par with most of the other breakfasts I've gotten in Iceland. It was fine.

It's a nice old hotel that looks like it's going through a big upgrade. The pool was warm and relaxing but it had holes in the bottom. The hot tubs were piping hot but no spa function; just hot. The largest water slide is closed and looks dangerous if I'm honest. The exterior was had construction material and equipment in places.
