Great remote location. Also a perfect base to explore western iceland and/or Reykholt area. We really enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn't stay here for more than a few days here for the reasons below.

The water pressure in the cottage was extremely low. This might have to do with the surrounding infrastructure, however bathing our little daughter took ages. The bathroom was made of non typical materials such as metal sheets and wood. Maybe its part of the cabin experience, but it could be improved in the future. The beds were small and very noisy.

Very remote location. The cabin was cozy and had beautiful views from all the windows in the living/kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. Overall we had a wonderful experience!

The drive in was a bit bumpy on the gravel roads. Our rental car had a "gravel road" option so that made the ride in more manageable. The water pressure was very low and the bathroom sink seemed to be clogged.

The hut was great and spacy, and the view was beautiful. The sauna was also nice even though it was not easy to use.

There was almost no water pressure in the shower, and the water splitter in the shower is broken and should be fixed. There's a washing machine - but no drier. Sauna wasn't easy to turn on. Luckily I read the PDF the owner sent, there are 5 roads leading to the apartment but only 1 is actually accusable (without crossing inside rivers) - it's better to write this in the first message as it took effort to see this in the PDF.

Very comfy and cosy place. Place was clean. The sauna was very nice. The view from the cabin is amazing. Kitchen is well stocked.

Not directly the property but the road leading up is long and not paved well at all. Wi-Fi is spotty. Not impactful for us since we planned ahead but others should note that gas stations and grocery stores are not near

After the long drive on the gravel road late in the afternoon, it was very comforting when we stepped into our cabin. It was warm and inviting, filled with little touches here and there that really make it feel like a home away from home Although it seems out of the way, after the 1st time, all the other times driving in don't seems so bad The cabin was beautifully decorated, has everything we need to cook our meals, big windows with views of the fields. We were at the tail end of our ring road trip and stayed for 2 nights. With all the various type of apartments/cabins we stayed, this was one of our favourite

Minor detail - are pillows in Iceland normally so flat? Most places I'd stayed provide 1 flat pillow 😢 Water pressure was low Other than that, this cabin is wonderful And the mountain behind the cabin was partially blocking the aurora!

The area is so peaceful! All you hear are birds singing. We also saw the aurora, it was beautiful. The cabin is cute and very clean. The rooms are kind of small so we put one suitcase in the loft which worked great. The washing machine was a nice surprise which we utilized. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Turning the car around was a bit tricky, but not a big deal.

we had an amazing stay at the cozy cabin. The view was outstanding a very peaceful place to stay. the road to the cabin was easy to access and a good place to stay when going to the snaefulness peninsula. kitchen facilities were brilliant, very well equipped. make sure to read the excellent guide as we took route 536 instead of route 535 which led an interesting drive!!

No negative. That was the biggest highlight of our trip! Such a cosy and charming place in the middle of nature. The kids loved playing outside, and we loved our evenings stargazing the aurora boreales. The owner was also particularly helpful and responsive. My whole family would go back in a heartbeat!!!

Loved the isolated location with a backdrop of mountains. Ideal for exploring the peninsula. The sauna is a nice touch.

There is quite a long gravel road into the property.

One word - WOW. Everything yoou need, even more. We stayed in number 4, the only thing missing was maybe a hottub and a massage :) The best place we stayed on our overall awsome trip. Even the playground for kids was there. Kitchen fully equiped.

Quite a long way from the main road, but worth to have peace.
