We stayed in a room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji, and the sight from the bed at night was simply amazing! The room also had a lake view option, but we chose the Mount Fuji view, which was the highlight of our stay. The female staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. The shuttle bus service in the morning made our travel so convenient. Right in front of the hotel, there was a boat you could take on Lake Kawaguchi, and just beyond the bridge, the view from the park was also fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was very comfortable, though we didn’t use the shower as there was a large public bath on the first floor. The public bath was great, and bike rentals were available as well. It seems breakfast wasn’t provided, but there are many restaurants around the area offering various types of food. The nearest convenience store is about a 15-minute walk away. Overall, an absolutely amazing stay—5 stars!

Sightseeing red line bus stop was just outside the hotel, bicycle rental available, luggage transfer across hotel available, good view of Fuji, Lawson just a 10min walk away, walkable to Mt Fuji ropeway (20min walk) and Kawaguchiko Station (20 min walk). Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Private toilet and shower inside the room with good supply of hot water. Bed sheets look and smell clean. Room was quite soundproof but might be cos we stayed at the end (Room 313) and there were no neighbours beside us.
Shuttle bus have specific timings which means you have to find your way to the hotel if arrival/departure is not within specific slot (we took a taxi from Kawaguchiko Station and it cost 900yen). We are travelling in Dec and room was quite cold even though there's heater. Even though red line sightseeing bus stop was just outside hotel, difficult to board during peak hours due to the crowd.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. The view from our room was simply mesmerizing, offering a serene and breathtaking panorama that made our stay even more special. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well taken care of. They were always ready to assist with a smile and were incredibly attentive to our needs. One instance that truly stood out was when we ordered food, and the hotel staff kindly called the restaurant to place the order on our behalf as we did not had the local number. When the delivery arrived, the delivery driver could only accept cash, which we unfortunately didn’t have. We explained the situation to the kind lady at reception, and to our surprise, she immediately offered to pay on our behalf using the hotel’s cash reserve, allowing us to settle the bill by card. This thoughtful gesture really touched us and exemplified the exceptional service the hotel provides. Additionally, the complimentary drop-off service was a great convenience and added a thoughtful touch to our stay. Experiences like these leave you feeling truly grateful and appreciated. I can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!
Everything walks perfect.

The room with tatami area is one of the biggest room I've stayed in Japan. The hotel is located in front of Kawaguchiko Lake with Mount Fuji view at its back. So you would have a beautiful view of either the lake or Mount Fuji no matter which side your room is. We were given room 401 which sits in the corner facing the lake. However from the corner window, we had a breathtaking view of both the lake AND Fujisan. There's a free foot bath outside the hotel for guests that always looks inviting no matter the season (including summer!)
The furnishings look rather old but it's not really an issue for us. It gives the lodging a retro vibe.

The location was perfect. There is a bus stop right in front to connect anywhere in Kawaguchiko. The property was old but maintained so well that we did not feel anything wrong. The room we booked were all huge and they were comfortable.
We had booked 3 rooms that too their highest ones but the staff did not respond too well to the fact that they all had the lake view only. We asked for a Fuji view for atleast one of them and they did not acknowledge it all maybe they didn't have the availability so not sure. what caused the indifference. Otherwise all great.

Location was great to explore the area around Mt. Fuji and the lakes. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and directly at the lakes. Room was very big with the Futon area. The Thermal baths in the Hotel were nice too. But don´t expect something fancy or big. One hot water pool and the sauna was not working. The Hotel picked us up at the train station for free. Thank you:-)
The Hotel seems quite old and it´s not as clean as other facilities in Japan we visited. But it was nice and very big compared to the small city Hotelrooms.

The room was very spacious, a lot bigger than I imagined it would be. Although we didn't have a mountain view (we had a view of the lake), we were still able to see mount fuji from our unit (the side window). It's not close to Lake Kawaguchiko station but it's easy to find and navigate with google maps.
The public bath was a little smaller than I expected and it was very bare inside (no amenities were provided within). There was a bit of confusion with the bike rentals, as I was initially told I didn't have to book for bike rentals, but when we arrived, the front desk said they were out of bikes since I didn't make a reservation.

The location was great! We can see Mt. Fuji directly from our room window, and when we go out from the hotel we can get a view of Lake Kawaguchiko in front of the hotel. There's also a bus stop like directly in front of the hotel so it's very easy to commute. They also have a shuttle service from and to the hotel which is very convenient!! The room was The most spacious of all from our whole trip in Japan. there is a tatami area which is very big and also a different area for the bed. You can also lay out your futon if you wish to sleep on the tatami area rather than the bed area. The Public bath area is also nice, they have a sauna in the public bath area which is a good thing.
The shower room in the hotel can be improved. The hot water shower in the room is not working. However, we didn't bother to complain as we didn't use the shower in the room. Public Bath all the way!!

It is in a convenient location. They offer transfers to and from the train station during the specified hours upon request. I was very grateful to the staff when they asked if we needed the transfer back to the station due to the sudden rain even though we hadn't asked.
The hotel needs renovation and the room needs an upgrade. Definitely they need to change curtains because it was too bright in the morning with the curtains and their decorations don't match with the room style and interior.

The room was very spacious and quite comfortable. I loved lounging in the tatami room in the evenings during our downtime. We booked 2 rooms for 4 people and luckily both provided an excellent view of Mt Fuji when the weather was clear! The location was very peaceful with beautiful scenery on this side of the lake during both daytime and night time (daytime if you are lucky and the weather conditions are clear you can see beautiful Fujisan, and during the night you can see twinkling lights from across the lake). A couple of us went to the onsen at the hotel and enjoyed the relaxing experience it provided. The hotel is in close proximity to a large Family Mart which we walked to everyday. We rented bikes from the hotel and rode around Fujikawaguchiko for a day which was a highlight of our stay and an activity that I highly recommend! There are many lovely spots around town that are in close walking/riding distance from Shiki-no-Yado Fujisan. I really loved the charm of this town and the peace it provided, especially after leaving bustling Tokyo. The staff were lovely and very helpful and supportive during our stay. They also provide a bus service to Fujikawaguchiko station which was very helpful for our departure. I have many fond memories of our stay here and recommend the experience.
The shower room with a bathtub is more like a wet room and was smelly but bearable. Although there was a lot of moisture in the room it was quite clean. The beds are on the firmer side, but we still managed to sleep well. Although the hotel is on the older side, it has a quaint charm to it.
