The staff are so kind, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed meeting them all. We enjoyed the mineral springs bathhouse. It is a very quiet property, the building is traditional and older. The rooms need to be updated for the sliding doors has stains but the bedding, toilet are very clean. We like the old style of decor (old telephone) and it comes with a safe. Love the yukata provided for both of us. It was so fun to wear that during our stay there. Yes the green tea provided is super strong and we enjoyed drinking it daily! The store should carry the same yukata for sale! I would have bought a couple as gifts. Overall we enjoyed our first stay in a ryokan ;) We are happy we were able to gift the breakfast servers a couple gifts we brought from USA. They don’t accept tips here but it’s nice to bring the hardworking servers/staff little practical gifts they can use. They truly appreciate it. I gifted them a Trader Joe shopping bag for most people here carry similar bags. My gf who lives in Japan advised us to do that and I’m glad I brought some. I wished I had brought 10 or more!

Not much except some of the sliding doors in the rooms or wall can use an update so it looks newer.

Lovely staff, immaculate rooms, and delicious food. This is my first time staying in a Ryokan, and I felt very welcomed by the staff! I felt like a guest in a 5 star hotel, that's how quality the service was. Immediately upon check in, the staff informed me they could keep my luggage after checkout in the morning, if I wanted to do some sightseeing. The Ryokan is next to an amazing temple, so this was a very kind gesture, as I had planned to explore the temple before flying home. The staff also immediately lent me an umbrella, as it was raining outside. The room was very large, with a warm thermos and tea awaiting me when I arrived. It was spotless and in the traditional Japanese style, looking exactly like the photos. The dinner which I had prepaid with the room, was delicious, and full of seasonal Japanese dishes and ingredients. It was the best meal I had on my trip. The public bath was clean and a perfect temperature, with a selection of creams and lotions to use once you had finished bathing. This was an amazing place to stay for my last night in Japan. If I ever fly out from Narita airport again, I will definitely look to stay here another night.

There was nothing I didn't like. I had a perfect stay

Fantastic location to an amazing Temple and its property. The temple grounds are stunning. The hotel offers a traditional Japanese bath house stay. They make up futon beds for you. We chose a room with a private bath, but we partook in the bath house. It’s open 24 hrs/day. The bath was so refreshing!!! We used their laundry machine on site to wash our clothes. The staff are incredible! Very nurturing and polite. We had dinner in our room which was great after a long day. We had a hostess from the hotel set up our table with the good. She explained the order in which to eat 1..2..3…. I would highly recommend staying here as it’s close to Narita airport, you get your see temple grounds and experience a Japanese Ryokan!!!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful for the two of us who don't speak any Japanese. The location is gorgeous, right across the street from a large temple complex that is stunning and peaceful. The area is filled with shops and restaurants that were exciting and new to us. The food we had there was great! The hotel served us a traditional Japanese breakfast in our room, which was a great experience.

Stores and restaurants in the area closed very early, which surprised us. Within walking distance was a major train station where food was available for us when we missed eating out near the hotel. We did not initially understand that we could not use the hotel dining room without a reservation. There was no room when we finally realized.

The ryokan has such an amazing service from the free shuttle which picked us up and dropped us off to all the staff members. They were super welcoming and friendly. This was the highlight of our stay in Japan. We got half board and the Kaiseki dinner was amazing, we were all so satisfied and full after. The breakfast was also very cute and laid out all nicely. We were very full from this too. The onsen was quite nice and pretty empty on a Friday night around 7pm so we could enjoy it in privacy. The water looked quite clean and smelled faintly of chlorine. They also laid out our futon beds whilst we were at dinner and packed them up whilst we were at breakfast. Right opposite the ryokan is a really lovely garden with multiple temples. It's so convenient and had very few people whilst we visited so we could enjoy it in peace and quiet. It is quite huge and several times larger than Sensoji in Asakusa. Overall we wished that we could have come here earlier so that we could enjoy the shopping street as well (which closed at around 5pm).

We wished that we could have taken the shuttle service a bit later than 10am so that we could explore the town a bit more, but it ends at 10.

Both reception and dining room staff were amazing. When I left I had a driver personally driving just me to the nearest JR train station. I fell asleep and missed my dinner time the staff called me and reminded me, food was all prepared for me and they didn’t mind me being late at all. When you have dinner they prepare your bedroll for you. There’s green tea and hot water in the room ready when you check in. View of the temple is amazing, strongly recommend visiting the temple too. The bath/onsen was great, it wasn’t big but felt very homely and clean.

Nothing. It was a perfect stay.

We only stayed here one night but it was the true ryokan experience! Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was spectacular, no detail was overlooked! Front desk also upgraded us to the deluxe room on their own at no extra charge because they had the availability. Location was also great as it was right across from Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and right on Omote-Sando street. If I get to stay in Narita again in the future I’m definitely coming back here!

One train stop from NRT airport is the Narita town which is beautiful, nice last minute souvenirs shopping, has a very nice temple as well as a forest where the fall leaves were the prettiest. This hotel has the best location and offered for an affordable price a great traditional Japanese experience including the room, sitting, sleeping, yukata robes and sandals as well as traditional breakfast and dinner. The view from the room is the temple entrance. The breakfast and dinner were 100% traditional and for sure one of the highlights of our trip. Our room had a toilet and sink but the bath was the public onsen which is used naked so it’s something to consider if that makes you uncomfortable. We will definitely stay here again when we arrive end leave NRT. The Very nice staff was acomodating, helped with taxi, luggage storage and other questions.

The staff was great! Very welcoming and willing to accommodate you. For example, they allowed us to keep our luggage in the lobby after we checked out so we could explore the area before heading to our late evening flight. They also picked us up from the station! The onsen is very nice and clean and I was lucky enough to get it all for myself! The food was delicious and made the price of the hotel worth it in my opinion because they give you so much for dinner and breakfast! Also, it seems their food is all made from local ingredients which is so cool. The location is great as you're right by the temples and the famous shopping street.

I liked everything. The room overlooked the park. There was a sitting area for tea and people watching from this perch. The mats were comfortable to sleep well, with that clean linen crispness, and sweet tatami mat smell. The hot soak pool was a few feet from my room. Breakfast and dinner were very reasonably priced, and more food than I could eat. Plus, walking to cute shops was a total treat. The best part was finding the most magical creek, cool pools and quiet woodlands tucked away in the amazing collection of Temple treasures. And don't miss the formal Buddhist ceremonies going on throughout the day. I had no idea all that was there. Stumbled on it, was just looking for a rest as I was coming home to the US from various parts of East Asia.

That I did not speak Japanese.
