Just a short 2-3 minute walk away from the Takayama train station, this is really an awesome place to stay. After the limited express or bus, one can easily walk over the pathway to the hotel, which can be seen from afar. You will not miss the large sign on the top and the very nice brown orange coloured building. Upon entry, you will be greeted by very polite staff and a very pleasant environment. Check in process was such a nice one and we were given free gifts and also a personal bag for amenities. And there’s a free onsen available on the 2nd floor! Room was really superb and everything was in top notch quality. It was super easy to walk to nearby walking street and also around takayama. Highly highly recommend this place if you are going to Takayama.

Location was fairly near the JR Takayama Station. A bus station is also nearby. Restaurants are a walking distance. I really liked their initiative to put together a tourist guide for Takayama which can be found in the lobby. The guide was very comprehensive in suggesting activities, destinations and food to try during your stay in Takayama. Twin Room was also fairly large for a Japanese Hotel. Facility was clean and would definitely stay here again. Staff has been really helpful, warm and accommodating.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights during winter. I would have appreciated it if they shoveled the snow on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, so it is easier to drag luggage.

Located very near to the train station. So, after you arrived via the Hida Limited Express, it's only a mere 2-3 minutes walk. Even if you arrive via bus, the bus station is also next to the train station. It's located on this side of the bridge, so going over to the old walking streets you will have to walk to cross the beautiful bridge (not very far). Convenient store Family Mart is located just opposite the train station. The hotel has a very pleasant vibe and the room was exceptional. The hotel even has a complimentary onsen for guests at 2nd floor. Superb experience.

We sprung for a larger room with a couch and a view of the mountains and it was so worthwhile. It gave us a great place to relax when we weren't sightseeing. Also enjoyed the lovely communal baths. Takayama is a treat, and a respite from the crowded Japanese cities. Takayama has a wonderful historic quarter, great food, fun museums, and clear mountain air. We also enjoyed a great day trip to the Hida Folk Village (15 min by bus) where 30 historical homes and buildings from around the Hida area have been reconstructed to tell the story of this beautiful mountain area and how people lived here prior to the 1950s when electricity changed everything (TV, washing machine, and fridge).

Wanted to stay longer!

The facilities in the hotel were amazing. There was a private "onsen" (not a natural one), which you could book for 45min for a fee. (somewhere around $15). The room was clean, modern and spacious. The staff was super lovely, we felt super welcome and were able to ask anything without any problem. There was also a map in the lobby featuring all sorts of interesting places and restaurants to visit. Lastly, we had a night at the bar too, and the barman was wonderful. We had some drinks and snacks for a very reasonable price. There is also a laundry room, with 2 in 1 washing and drying machines. You can check availability from the tv in your room (or even the website/app, I believe). However, note that the drying function of the machines is not that good, so you might have to continue drying some clothes in your room.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was fantastic. The location is perfect. The facility is brand new and well-maintained. What I loved most was the availability of a public bath in the hotel, which was a great way to relax. The room had an independent air conditioner, allowing me to set the temperature to my liking. Overall, it was a cozy and comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for convenience and comfort in a hotel.

Staff are super nice! The location is good which is close to the shops street and JR station, but a little bit far away from the main spots. There are some parking lots around which are cheaper than the hotel's one, but the parking lot of the hotel is convenient as it is just outside the hotel. The washing machine is also great as you may check out the time details through the TV, however, I will suggest to place a coin changing machine as the washing machine only accept 100 yen which we do not have 5 100yen, luckily someone helped us.

The onsen is quite small, but still fine.

There were lockers available for early arrivals. Bikes to rent and lots of suggestions of activities to do in and around Takayama with little picture cards in the lobby. There was also a laundry on site which is underrated as most tourists will be doing long trips. The hot springs were ok too, although i don't believe they were natural they were well lit and very relaxing.

The breakfast was Japanese only and required additional monies, Y7000 i think? The triple bed room we rented was an enormous bed but left the rest of the room fairly cramped. There were plenty of staff members but nobody could be helpful enough to offer to book us somewhere to eat that evening and we found Takayama really difficult after dark to find somewhere decent to eat that wasn't booked up before 7pm.

Very spacious rooms compared to other parts of Japan we stayed in. AC worked great. Bathroom was pretty spacious and very clean. Super convenient that the property had bike rentals available by hourly increments. The included breakfast was great, you get a choice between Western or Japanese style, and get to pick which time slot you want in the AM. The property also had a vending machine room with a lot of drink choices, a washer and dryer, an ice machine, and also a self-storage luggage room. There were lockers available and locks to attach wheeled suitcases to. Check in and check out process was very easy, and all the staff were friendly. Wonderful location near the train/bus station and short walking or bike distance to many Takayama attractions.

The place was new and had great interiors! The location was just a block away from Takayama station. The room was so spacious and offers great views of the mountains. The breakfast set was also good but if you are staying more than 2 nights, it will be repetitive. We would definitely come back during a different season as it felt like you were in a cabin resort!

The breakfast set could have more variety but everything else was great all around!
