It is located right across the Takayama train station and Nohi bus terminal. Everything you need is there. The staff lent me a vacuum so that I can pack my things with the vacuum bag I was using for this trip to fit my 10 days clothes for autumn in a carry on luggage They also serve delicious meals for breakfast the Hida way (local specialty Japanese meals). Every tourist spot within Takayama is jus walking distance from this hotel. The front desk is open 24 hours which was very helpful to a traveler like me. They answer questions politely and very helpful. I’m a person who likes to talk to a person instead of just a machine so I love that there are hotel staff available 24 hours at the counter.

Nothing at all

I like the public bath. It's fully equipped with all the necessities e.g. face cleanser, lotion, moisturizer, hair dryer, cotton.. Room wise is quite ok just that the toilet is very small. Breakfast is simple but nice. They gave my kid a free kid's meal (rice, seaweed and miso soup). Location is fantastic because it's just opposite Takayama train station. Walk 10 mins to reach Miyagawa Morning Market and Sanmachi-suji old town. Overall it's worth staying!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities and room were clean and comfortable. The public bath (free and only available to hotel guests) was clean and really nice to use each night before bed. The location is great as the main JR/bus station is right across the street, there is a convenience store nearby, and you can easily walk to the morning markets and shopping districts.

The only complaints we have are regarding the wifi connection quality and the pillow comfortableness. The Wifi in our room sometimes dropped out for several minutes at a time. The pillows are the firmest I've ever experienced in a hotel and were just oddly hard, but some people may prefer this.

Room is temperature controlled to heating. Although states air conditioning, this has been turned over to heated air conditioning and made the room very hot. Leaving the window open meant that it was a bit noisy. Prefer is it was advertised as central or heated conditioning

Right across Takayama Station and very close to restaurants and souvenir shops. Front desk allowed us to check in earlier than 3pm given prior request which we appreciated as we were tired after 3-hour bus ride from Nagoya

Airconditioning actually meant heating system. We slept with the windows open. Good thing Takayama is cool in October

the hotel is well located ( actually in front of the station so I didn’t have to carry my bags a lot of time, the room was really comfy and the bed was nice ( i have been traveling in Japan for 20 days now and every night I been in hostels so this bed was a great release for my back) and the sauna was great, it’s really big and has a lot of amenities, if I come back to takayama I would definitely book again there.

The hotel is right across the street from the JR train station. While the facility is a bit older it was clean and well kept. The price was very reasonable and we would stay here again should we visit Takayama again.

Taking a shower using the shower tub combination was a bit tricky due to the height of the tub sides (an older model) but it worked fine.

It’s location. In front of train and bus station. Close to old city and historic village. Also, near good restaurants! Also some staff did speak English…

For my taste, the pillows were to hard.

The hotel was so good. The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean. I really think they undersell their open bath facility because it's amazing. It was also right in front of the station!

Nothing - it was perfect

The hotel was near the train station. Very clean staff helpfull. Enjoyed our stay. It is close to all the attractions in takayama and there was a beautiful cafe coffee shop around the corner. Would stay there again.
