The room was spacious and clean. The additional sofa bed was comfy. We did have a problam with the shower not running away to the extent that the whole bathroom was flooded. However, the situation was effectively and swiftly sorted out by the receptionist moving us to a superior room immediately as there was no engineer on site at that time to fix the shower. The reception staff were most helpful. The breakfast had a superb choice of food and everything tasted great. The hotel was full but there was still plenty of seating at breakfast for everyone.

The greenhouse esque look was gorgeous, the pool was amazing and the staff were very kind. They had a mini shop inside that you could access 24/7 and add it to your tab or pay at the reception, which was very handy for drinks. It was in a great location, lots of shops close by and everything was overall close even outside of the area (20 minutes walk to the cathedral, if that, for example).

The rooms were quite outdated compared to the rest of the hotel, our window also faced inside right next to the wall way so we couldn’t open our curtains and the lights were very dull. Also, we were in a room with a slippery shower and no mat provided, so our toddler ended up slipping and bruising all of his back on the edge of the shower.

Great location with many onsite facilities. Clean rooms and professional staff. Loved that my dog could go on holiday with me.

The air conditioning did not work very well in any of our rooms so it was very hot and we could not open any windows. We did not dine at the hotel either, as my dog was not not welcome in any eating place so meals were all done offsite.

We had massages but sadly the AC was broken and according to the message technician it has been for over a month, such I think it's quite hard for her and her job and for me and my family as customers quite uncomfortable Most of the support staff (housekeeping, waiters, etc) don't speak any German or can come up with solutions right on the spot so I need to go to the reception. That was annoying.

The location was perfect for us, nice facilities like swimming and sauna. Our rooms (classic family rooms) were spacious and comfortable. Tram station was literally outside the hotel and 10- 15 mins walk to Cathedral and Cologne central train station. Taxis stop is situated right outside the hotel which is very helpful.

Only 2 lifts were working, which was not adequate for the size of the hotel esp. during the morning breakfast or checkout times. We had to wait for long time to get to the reception in the morning. We requested for early check (13.00) at the time of reservation, we got to the hotel and were told rooms will not be ready till normal check in time i.e 15.00 , so we all left our luggage in the cloak room and went to explore the nearby shopping area till 15.00. when we returned our rooms were not ready till 15.30. However, we appreciated the vouchers given by the receptionist for 4 drinks while our rooms were getting ready.

This is a spacious hotel. The indoor atrium is very impressive. The hotel was quiet given its size, had clean common areas and was attractive and well maintained. The paintings were original ? Short run prints? I liked the ones I saw. The hotel was ideally situated and the staff we met were pleasant and helpful. A very nice experience.

Breakfast on Sunday morning 30 th April. Overcrowded breakfast area. Tiny plates, little cutlery. Little choice of food. Overworked coffee machine. (Labour day?) At 15 euros each, very overpriced on that day. The Atrium clearly had had choices in relation to dining, there were closed restaurants on every side. Why were they all closed? The only eating area in the evening had a very limited menu. Nice staff though.

Breakfast and location were brilliant. Loved the pool, sauna and steam room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel looked lovely and clean. liked the lifts

Didn't like I couldn't open window in room no fresh air. Alot of the units were closed also bar was closed in height of summer for their hols, the restaurant closed after breakfast and smaller one was closed all the time left it feeling like a bed and breakfast, lacked atmosphere because of this, that was unfortunate because I liked the hotel.

Beautiful, grand hotel in the Heumarkt, right next to the Altstadt. 24-hour check-in. Staff exceptionally friendly and bilingual - gave us the option of exemption from the city tax as my travelling partner was a YouTuber. Breakfast package every morning was a delight with so much lovely food. Room cleaning was beyond reproach. Lovely eco-friendly approach re: power usage and reusing towels. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful city. Stay here if you ever come to Köln!

I can't fault Maritim Köln on anything.

The hotel has an awesome design, with a beautiful interior terrace. The staff was really nice and helpful. The location is pretty much the best, considering that you are minutes away from the Dome, River and have all kinds of transportation close to it!

I was a bit surprised that we did not have a minibar in the room. Also they offer a paid service for massage. I had two massages there. The young ladies did a professional job, but there was another masseuze, a little older, that pretty much did not know how to give an amateur massage, let alone a professional one. So be carefull if you choose to get this service, because it is not cheap at all, so try to choose the younger masseuses.

The breakfast at the hotel was impressive, offering a wide range of options and a scenic view overlooking the river. The standout features of the hotel were the spacious rooms and comfortable beds, reflecting a time when convenience was important. In addition, the hotel has a clean sauna and pool, which were not overcrowded even on a busy Saturday evening, despite the hotel's size. An added convenience was the on-site ATM machine, as many places in Cologne do not accept cards this was a nice touch to have close by. The hotel is old so for someone that wants something more modern it might not be the right option but for this price in Cologne we are very pleased with our choice.

Due to a malfunctioning elevator at the hotel, we had to endure long wait times to catch a ride up or down, particularly during the breakfast rush, since this hotel is quite large in size.
