The hotel had an amazing location where it was perfectly situated right near downtown, the honky tonk highway and everything was walking distance in Nashville. We were in town for July 4th celebrations and we were able to stand at the top of Broadway and watch the concert and fireworks!! A great experience. Also, it had an amazing rooftop pool and bar. The staff were always very friendly and helpful with any questions that we may have had. We will recommend the Holston House to anyone.

The hotel had a restaurant that was only open until 2pm every day except on Thursday to Saturday when it was open for dinner. This didn't really help us because we stayed at the Holston Monday to Wednesday and checked out Thursday. Therefore my husband and I were left looking for food and beverages off site.

Location was perfect! Close to Broadway & other venues but outside the party scene to allow for a quiet nights sleep. The beds felt like sleeping in a cloud! Stunning historic architecture. Superb mixologist & guest services! Exceptionally clean providing lovely hygiene products.

Noise between rooms can be loud. It may have been the day time cleaning crew banging & slamming around but it ruined a much needed nap. Curious why the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays but they’re are plenty of options close by.

Staff were very helpful - especially Kelly at Front desk and boys at entrance to help with taxis and luggage. Exceptionally clean & fantastic to have a roof-pool in which to cool off. Bathroom great -although could do with a detachable shower hose. Breakfast was very good indeed. Air con we could easily turn off (most US hotel rooms are freezing!) A window we could open - fabulous!!!! All we needed for our stay.

View was over a car park but it is a city hotel....

The location was terrific! The facilities were lovely and clean. Bedrooms were nice but not enough hanging clothing space (or hangers in the room). We loved the separate commode and shower set up. Front desk, door staff, and wait staff were fantastic! Bar staff seemed very inexperienced, slow, and unable to adequately/timely serve the patrons.

The bar was lovely but the staff were not well trained or able to meet the demand. Also, the pool bar area was closed during our entire stay which was disappointing. The room refrigerator froze everything we stored in it.

I would’ve given excellence all across the board except for the mattress. The mattress was horrible especially for the nightly price of $350. The special attention given to our anniversary was impeccable! Love the hotel, staff, and ambiance. The nights sleep not so much. We stayed at the Hilton the night prior for less money and the mattress was better. Please do Holston’s a favor an invest in mattresses other than that a perfect 10.

Location was perfect for walking to most places. Breakfast burrito was exceptional at the restaurant. Staff was so vey helpful and friendly. Loved the rooftop pool.

No microwave in rooms, Bar at pool very pricey. If you plan on laying on a lounge chair by pool, you need to get there when the pool opens at 8am, No vending machines or ice machines on floors, need to order ice to your room. They have some can sodas need to buy from front desk, kind of pricey. Pool needs to stay open later.

space in the room was nice, location off the main strip of downtown was also a nice bonus (too loud over there), pool bar (excellent frozen margarita--perfect level of sweetness/booziness), rooftop pool was incredible, music played at the pool was relaxing and put us in the vacation mindset, rainfall shower, beds were comfortable, the staff was courteous and very polite! A young lady name Gisele (I hope I spelled that right) checked us in and out. Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish! I'll recommend anyone visiting the city to stay here.

Loved our corner room. Enjoyed our meal downstairs. Their options for food service have limited hours…but they kindly did not kick us out of the downstairs restaurant right when they closed. Wait staff was awesome.

Food service hours. Think people arrive Nashville all hours of the day and want to have convenience of eating at hotel. Know staffing can be an issue.

Close to Broadway. We liked that it was around the corner so it was quiet and chill. We liked the moodier boutique style. Pillows were awesome!

I would have liked to have the pool food/drink service more clear. As well as the food options - no information on whether in-room dining was available or where/how to get the 'rooftop menu' options.

the location - just a short walk from broadway and the museums. Excellent rooms and a lovely large shower. Comfortable bed and loads of storage. There were two concierges on duty - one was called Jonathan (I think) and one was tall with a nice line in suits! Both were a wonderful advertisement for the hotel. Always smiling, ever helpful and a real tonic to come home to after a full and tiring day of sightseeing. Reception staff were also very helpful & friendly.

Restaurant not great. No draft beer in bar.
