Hotel Bristol

This was my 2nd time staying in the hotel and the main reason for choosing it was the location - close to & walkable from Reforma - and safety (between Reforma and the hotel, I would not recommend walking further after dark). The facilities are outdated, clear enough, but clean and I would say decent for the price paid (the earlier you book, at least 1-2 weeks prior, better the price). It was cleaned every day, towels and soap replaced, wifi worked fine. Although I booked the standard room (for which I think they usually give you a room at ground floor and first levels, oriented towards the internal patio), I was given a big room at the 2nd to last floor with a very nice view of the front and the Reforma skyline. Really appreciated this.

First, the safe was very old, with a key system that needed to be requested from Reception. They didn't say this when cecking in so, once in the room, I had to go back downstairs to ask and get it - I prefer when it is in the room and you don't need to ask and draw attention on yourself. Second, the sound isolation is not very good between the rooms and it is very difficult yo sleep and rest when this is paired with poorly educated neighbours next door, who watch TV with a high volume and then leave it like this all night long.

As many reviewers say, it's a very professional place and staff definitely go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. In my case, this meant organising my early check-in and helping me with internet issues (which were quickly resolved). The location for Reforma, Zona Rosa, Embassies, El Angel etc is great and it's decent enough for Roma Condesa too. The neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc, is lovely too. Room is a decent size and the two chairs were comfy enough. The shower was powerful and I really enjoyed it The room was quiet enough for a decent night's sleep and there is secure on-site parking. I also loved the old-fashioned vibe. I'd definitely stay again.

For the price and location it's hard to ask for more. I'd like coffee in the room or a coffee bar in reception (the adjoined restaurant seemed a bit pricey).

The hotel is located in an excellent area near tourist areas, with easy access to public transport and restaurants and markets nearby. It has a great restaurant where you can have breakfast and other meals, which is very practical. The employees are super friendly and professional. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom had a dryer, the internet worked well.

Breakfast is not included, but as far as I can tell, this is usual in Mexican hotels. I missed a water boiler or a microwave in the room for a quick coffee.

The hotel is centrally located with an Express Walmart less than one-half mile from the hotel; I was able to purchase groceries and other personal items. The staff is outstanding; all members I interacted with were friendly, receptive and attentive to my needs. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and those pillows -- just great. I spent 7 days at this hotel. Finally, I believe it will be difficult to find a better hotel for the price.

The location is great, it's very easy to move around the city from this hotel, you even have the option to rent bikes just getting outside of it, and the zone seems pretty safe. Overall it has a very good value/price ratio.

I didn't like the pillows, I had a hard time sleeping, but I always struggle with pillows, I'm sure many people won't have this issue.

Location for sure especially for Dia los Muertos festivities and access to main city attractions. A great range of trendy cafes and restaurants, equally mixed with local food options.

A free breakfast option when booking, a better and cheaper laundry service and better smelling and faster lift. If I had to be picky.

Excellent location with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was clean and beds were comfy. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Wifi was spotty -it would disconnect for 10ish minutes at a time throughout the day. Gym opens at 7 which is not early enough for those who work out in the morning. There were also no dumbbells in the gym, only a cable machine. The plumbing from next door was loud, too, so not good for light sleepers.

The room was spacious and clean. The shower was hot. The bed was firm but comfortable. The staff were friendly. The location was good, an easy walk to restaurants, bus to city and metro. The neighborhood was quiet. For the level of the hotel, price, it was basic but a good value. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was quite warm and we couldn't figure out any air conditioning. As it was winter, it was OK for us.

Ideal location and love your neighborhood for being walkable and friendly. . Your restaurant prepares great meals, grocery stores are nearby, two blocks walking distance to La Reforma and a safe environment. The two bathrooms in our suite were fantastic and something we'll ask for in the future.

The stay was very pleasant, despite being a little old hotel, the beds and rooms were comfortable. The location is great, very central and close to restaurants and Avenida Reforma. Breakfast is a la carte with many options, the food is very tasty and with a good portion. Only the air conditioning makes a lot of noise and because the walls are thin, you can hear the other rooms.

Airport shuttle is not available as mentioned. The hotel offered a large transport and on the day it was another type of transport (smaller) and the value was not as agreed.
