Historic full-service hotel, Breakfast room was filled with light and had many options--fruit, yogurt, granola, meats and cheeses as well as a hot food buffet with Mexican specialities and they would also make you anything you wanted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

Facilities were a little tired, the bartender ignored us repeatedly.

Very nice hotel, employees all were very attentive from the receptionist personnel to bellboys and housekeeping and also the waiters at the Veranda resto and Buenos Dias are nice. Across the street in front of the hotel is Casa de Toño which every Uber driver recommended to us to try their dishes, by the way Uber is the best option and walking around while exploring. Daily breakfast at the hotel was wonderful also the Bar has live music too. Our Room was spacious, we were offered bottled water daily for free. Our room was clean and has a nice front view from the window, it has iron too if you needed to use it. The hotel lobby looks grand, very European feel. And oh very lovely soft music at the restos and bar area. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Nothing we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. only a little noise from the street on the weekend early dawn from people walking by having loud voices laughing ~not the hotel’s fault. Just a suggestion to management, it would be more wonderful if there is some nice scent/ room fragrance in the lobby like other hotels 😊

The public spaces of this historic hotel are absolutely stunning. The staff were professional and friendly, the room was bright, comfortable and quiet, the bed-sheets good quality, the pillows soft, and the towels fluffy. House-keeping was good and efficient. It is in a good location, being walking distance to the neighbourhoods of Contessa and Roma.

Wifi in the room was terrible - kept cutting out or very slow. The mini-bar was locked which was strange (we would have liked to have chilled our water in there). The package for the coffee machine is stingy - containing only 1 sachet of coffee, only 1 sachet of real sugar (but 2 sweeteners - yuk!) and only one coffee creamer, even though it is supposedly for 2. A 5 star hotel should not be scrimping on coffee, creamer and sugar! And as it is 5 star, the rooms could be freshened up a little, especially if they want to compete with other 5 star hotels. We had a discounted price on the room so we were more than happy.

The hotel itself is amazing! It's a museum hotel, so it has a lot of historic artifacts and photos of all the famous visitors and the history around their visits. The arquitectura is impressive as well. The interior of the lobby and the vitral on several ceilings is awe inspiring. You have to see it for yourselves. It's like something in Prague...

The fitness center lacked fresh towels, no water, the tv would not turn on, and had only one single, super-old mat. There's plenty of machines, cables, weights and even a pull-up bar, but it could have been better. The veggie options could have been a little better at breakfast and at the bar; the shower curtain leaked into the bathroom floor (there was no way to fix it) in room 433, and we asked them to unlock the mini-bar, but they never did.

I love unique and luxurious places to stay , Hotel Geneve is an amazing, beautiful museum hotel. As you check in, you become part of the beautiful history that Hotel Geneve holds . Hospitality is at 1000%, so warm and welcoming ! The location is perfect, and there is lots to see around , walking distance! Safe neighborhood all around ! I definitely recommend staying to all of you who are reading this, and i recommend it to my friends and family ! If you like modern hotels, this 5 star history gem is not for you ! Don't judge !!!!

It's hard to say I didn't like it. But I do not speak Spanish. Hotel stuff , lots of them do not speak English , miscommunication happens. If you happy positive person, you will be just fine. If you grumpy one, well , learn to speak Spanish and remember you are in a foreign country :))))

Location was good near a very busy street with bars and music, but my room wasn’t noisy. Staff was great, very friendly and professional. Lobby was beautiful and had some historical exhibits on. For future travellers: although this location is central to many sights, you cannot walk to Historic District or Polanco, for example. You will need to use Uber or local App DiDi. Do not use taxi though, I had horrible experience, not safe.

The property is in the need of renovation. Everything looks quite old, although they did a good job keeping it clean. Even towels were grey from a lot of use and laundry.

Honestly, I love this hotel and will probably stay here every time I come to Mexico City. It is absolutely beautiful and takes you back to another time and place but without feeling fake. The classical music that plays softly throughout the hotel is a nice touch as well. Room service is wonderful, as is the restaurant on site. The staff are professionally friendly. There is extremely fast (100MB+ up and down) open wifi throughout the entire hotel. There is a "shop" attached to the hotel that has literally everything you could possibly need - from fine chocolates, alcohol, gifts, books, and a complete pharmacy. The alcohol sold there was priced as cheap or cheaper than the duty free at the airport. Finally, the hotel is located in the Zona Rosa and the area is as safe as can be - it was nice being able to roam the streets after sundown without looking over one's shoulder.

On at least one occasion housekeeping forgot to give us clean towels or bottles of water. Reception immediately sent someone after we informed them. I didn't notice until the night before we were checking out that the hotel had a spa (with spa services) and a gym. It would have been nice to have been informed of all the hotel's amenities when checking in.

Lovely, European-style hotel, with beautiful, gracious public rooms. Bespoke style. A lovely series of spaces, each varied, seeming to stretch onward to a final fanciful hall that appears as some stage set for a Belle Époque play. Everything is human-scaled, unlike the giant Reforma commercial "luxury" hotels that feel more like factories for processing tourists. The hotel is a heritage property, but immaculately maintained. Its WIFI had good connectivity throughout, even in the labyrinth of rooms upstairs. My stay was enjoyable. A great bar, but I enjoyed having cocktails served to me in the adjoining "library," which offered more grace and beauty than the dark "London-telephone" themed bar room.

If some of the younger guests could just put away their Smart Phones and/or have their loud conversations outside or in their own private hotel rooms. I do not need to be forced to listen to some Techie zooming her equally loud friend's inanities in hotel public rooms and restaurants. I hope the younger generation can discover Life is more than just good WIFI connections and sharing moment-by-moment minutia of empty life experiences with one's BFF of the moment. (But, otherwise, I have no obvious opinion on the subject.)

The doors are closed and barricaded at night, they told us is for our own safety, they still let you out and inside the hotel BUT you have to show your room key and tell them your room number,I forgot about our room number and they were telling us that it was not our room and that it was only for 2 people and then they realized it was us and let us in , the staff continuously ask you if you’re staying with them as if you were not.
