Amazing, older, gem in the city. From the photos the place seems small just a few rooms. It is massive and tons of different areas of rooms and courtyards with tables and umbrellas to sit and read a book or have breakfast. Alot of the rooms have small patios as well as balconies and terraces. Super friendly staff too.
No iron in room for guests. 30 pesos an item to hand in a piece of clothing. I was on the courtyard level and the first night had the lights streaming into my room. I asked if they could please turn them off at a certain hour, instead they very kindly changed my curtains. Problem solved.

I have stayed at Hotel Casa Gonzalez several times over the course of 25 years and the place never disappoints me. The hotel is located in the heart of the rejuvenated and modernized Zona Rosa and is truly an oasis amid the energy and bustle of Mexico City. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food at the restaurant is excellent. If you want an authentic Mexican lodging experience in a safe and secure environment, I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Casa Gonzalez, one of my favorite hotels in the world.

The hotel has a lovely patio, it was a really nice place to play games, relax and chat. Moreover the location was great, it was fairly quiet at night and I always felt safe; we could easily wander around to get ice cream at 10 PM. It's located in a residential area and had a great vibe with a local market, colorful murals and some good restaurants. You could travel by public transport or taxi or go by foot as we did to many fun neighborhoods that CDMX is known for. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and kind, always tried to help you as good as possible. And last but not least; super comfy beds.
Nothing :)

Located in Reforma, just down the street from the main avenue, Casa Gonzalez is a real haven of peace, green and quiet. The property is decorated with a lot of love and attention to detail. The staff were amazing. The rooms and especially bathroom is a bit dated, but the bed was comfortable and it was clean. In terms of value for money, it couldn’t be better. We’ll be staying again!

Beautiful gardens, nice rooms with daily housekeeping service all afternoon for your scheduling preferences, on site restaurant and room service from 7:30am- 8:30pm for those times you don’t feel like going out, friendly 24 hour front desk service, who were helpful with booking tickets, transportation, etc. Nice location with ample restaurants, etc. in area, and right by Plaza de la Reforma!
Food was adequate and very well priced, but not as delicious as previous stays, but very fresh and hand made.

A very cute, family-owned, home-like hotel in the heart of the city. The staff are exceptional! The only reason I rated it as an 8 and not 10 is because some of the rooms are close to a noisy street. I had a huge, gorgeous room at first, but had to ask to change because the noise kept me up at night (it had old, poor windows). I chose a much smaller room (perfect for one person, maybe small for 2) in another section and it was much quieter. The beds are VERY comfortable! The courtyard is beautiful and relaxing. If you drink a lot of water, I recommend you buy a large bottle in a convenience store (or bring your own) and they refill it in the kitchen (better than asking for many small bottles every day). We used Uber for all our travels and it was very easy, the location is perfect for seeing all the sights (maybe a bit far for walking to anything, depending on your level of fitness). About a 10min walk to the metro.
As above, my first room had poor windows and was too noisy.

Amazing experience. The property is situated in a bustling part of the city, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and green spaces. Behind a imposing black gate, the hotel grounds are clean, lush, and charming. I loved how prestine everything was, and it felt authentic--you knew you were not staying in a big box international hotel chain. This felt real, like living in an apartment in CDMX. Room was very spacious, and the bathroom was even bigger. Loved the balcony that was tucked away and private but exposed enough that I could people watch the diners across the street. I would definitely stay here again. I've already recommended this property to several of my friends.
The weather was beautiful and temperature was great, if not on the warmer side. I could see myself wanting air conditioning if it were any hotter.

The hotel has a vibe of and old european guest house (i felt like i was in Tuscany). Antique furniture, ceramics, paintings - everything reminded me of Europe. Location was perfect for me and this place literally feels like an oasis surrounded by scyscrapers (i proudly stole this phrase from another review). Very clean room with a nice terrace. very quite also (i thought i wont be able to sleep because the area is pretty busy, but it was well soundproofed). special thanks to personnel - very helpful every time i had an issue or question.
i wish pillows would be a bit more comfortable

We liked the location with restaurants very close by and a short, shady walk to La Reforma. The room was pleasant with a large bed and a comfortable mattress. Breakfast was excellent with a different fresh fruit every day. Most important, though, were the cheerful, helpful staff, who made it a home away from home.

I loved everything about the place. I go to CDMX pretty often and this is by far the best place I've stayed at of this price segment (of all the hotels & airbnbs in the City). Found it because of looking for something close to the USA Embassy but now it's on top of my housing list in CDMX. - The room was impeccably clean, and super comfortable. I was traveling for work and having a proper desk&chair was a nice detail. The room had enough natural light but both light curtains and blackouts for any needs. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, water pressure stable, and they gave me a heater (winter nights in CDMX are pretty chilly). - Both the area and the room were quiet. I am always looking for places where I can have some decent sleep without listening to the traffic/bars/construction sites/etc. The street outside is not busy, but I also requested a room facing the inner areas and never heard any noise. - WiFi is super fast. I am a photographer and had to upload and download photos, it was a stable 150mbps down and 70-100 up - for Mexico this is above awesome. - THE STAFF! I had already read the reviews here before booking, but wow, they really care about making your stay the best. Special thanks to both receptionists Betel and Fernando, and to Juanita from the kitchen. I had everything I needed at an instant, and always while seeing smiles on their faces. All the rest of the staff were also always very friendly, smiling and welcoming. - Breakfast was delicious (thanks again to Juanita!), fast and the prices are very affordable (125 mxn for a full breakfast with eggs, coffee, fruit, bread, juice etc). This place does make you feel at home, and I will definitely come back again, thank you so much.
