Hotel Carlota

Hotel Carlota is a beautiful hotel. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! We had a great corner room on the top floor- did hear any noise at all. The room was incredibly spacious and had an adorable rooftop patio with a hammock to hang out. The pool is beautiful and surprisingly for June it was a bit to chilly for us to swim in it. Location is good easy to walk to a few places but you’ll mainly Uber around Mexico City- plus Ubers are incredibly affordable. A/C was working great too. The towels could be replaced as they are pretty rough and they don’t provide wash cloths but other than that great stay! The bar area and lounge are adorable we did drinks there every night.

couldn’t check in at 2 am even though they said 24. h check in. the doors were locked and I knocked numerous times with no response. I had to wander around (as a solo female new to the city) to find alternative accomodation for that night. I did not get a refund for the first night.

amazing brutalist boutique hotel in great location. lovely small pool. great restaurant and breakfast. staff and friendly and helpful. took advantage of the hotel bicycles to ride around the city on Sunday when the main roads are closed to traffic.

pick your room carefully - some are dark and a bit prison-like, whereas those with terraces have more light. pity the bar couldn’t manage an expresso martini and didn’t know what a caipirinha was. note - there’s no gym at the hotel.

The overall design on the hotel, rooms, pool/bar area are very modern. We loved it

The bathrooms could use some hangers to hang your towels/clothes. A little more shampoo would also be nice, and longer shower curtains so that the water doesn't spill out every time you take a shower. Like other reviews - you can indeed hear everything from the bar/pool area but that didn't bother us.

the location was great. walk down to Condessa and Roma Norte. also a walk to Juarez! the lobby and lounge bacr were relaxing and staff was so friendly. food was pricey but delicious. bed was super comfortable!!! didnt get a chance to use pool. value was amazing!!! i would go back for sure!

the only thing missing for me was a bluetooth speaker in my room to play music.

the design of the hotel as a whole is great. I was concerned that the noise from the bar would be a problem but it didn’t run too late. The staff are generally great, knowledgeable and helpful.

When we failed to tip (it was a coffee and a cake) the waiter came back and asked us to add a tip!!

I liked everything about this property. I extended my stay from 1 night to over two weeks! Super comfortable beds, modern (NYC loft inspired) industrial design, premium bath products (L’Occitane), bathrobes provided, massive TV, decent water pressure, quaint library, sleek heated pool, delicious breakfast, bicycles provided for free,excellent air conditioning, beautiful view, prime location walking distance to hotels that cost 10x such as the Four Seasons, St. Regis and Sofitel. Excellent service that Mexico is known for! Excellent value. Enjoy :)

No gym — but not a big deal because of the healthy food options, and the bicycles you can utilize for some real calorie burn.

Beautiful modern design hotel in a central location. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Some of them at the upper floor came even with a rooftop terrace. Nice patio with terrace , bar , and a tiny pool.

If you value privacy highly you might find it annoying that windows face the inner courtyard. All corridors pass directly in front of the windows. They do come with blinds though.

Restaurant food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and beautiful by centering the pool area, the staff were all so kind

Could get a bit noisy, but I had read reviews and knew to expect it, and they provide earplugs in room

The staff is amazing, from Nieves who cleaned my room to Alberto who were always available and caring towards my dog. The cappuccino is one of the best I have tried. The shower was a nice surprise with an interesting shower head.

Somedays the music was on until 11 pm but it was OK because that was my cue to go to sleep. Nothing that a pair of earplugs provided by the hotel can't solve. The softest comfiest earplugs I must add.
