Breakfast was nicely cooked and served and there was plenty of bread to toast when and how you like it. The room was well appointed, with nice large mugs and plenty of coffee, tea and bicscuits. The staff were welcoming. This was a return visit, and I wasn't disappointed.

Nothing really to fault. The room size was adequate for 2 single friends to share, but the ensuite quite small, so not easy to find anywhere to put toiletries or change dress in privacy after using the shower. We were only there one night so it was fine. The room was quiet, but it was hot, so we needed windows open for air. No outside noise until the gulls started up in the morning - but then that is to be expected in a seaside location.

few dusty areas but nothing major, blood mark on the sheet air was chilly in room on arrival but radiator was on. left the room to explore the area and came back around 5/6 hrs later and it was baltic, radiator was off! called the number which was on front door and jade was very helpful and switched the heating back on but was on for 10 mins. had to contact her again to explain our concerns. we were shivering and had three layers on under the covers. matter was resolved within the hour.

Very nice room with sea view. Room was clean and very spacious for 2 people. Freshly cooked breakfast in the kitchen that is located in the breakfast room. Hosts were very helpful. Free public parking in front of the building, next to the beach.

The lights in the hall/staircase were never turned off in the night -> there was always some light shining underneath the door into our room which was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Some motion activated lights would be great as I doubt that many people run up and down the stairs in the middle of the night. The breakfast room did not fit all guests as the Guesthouse was fully booked (which we were told at check-in). We were lucky and got a free table right away but some other folks had to wait quite some time to be seated (-> not ideal).

The location was very close to the sea and we had a lovely view. The room was spotlessly clean and well presented. It was no trouble when we asked for more milks. Check in was easy and we were welcomed by Jade and shown how to use the key pad for the outer door and then up to our room. We were very impressed with the breakfast facilities. A good selection of cereals, juices, yoghurt and toast all to help ourselves to. It was even more impressive to see our cooked breakfast being cooked by our host in the same room. Great service Jade. It was good to see that Covid guidance still in place. Free parking across the road meant you can keep an eye on your vehicle. Jade also went out of her way to accommodate my dietary needs. The only thing we thought could be improved was the lead for the heater in our room. It was hanging down in the room. We felt it should be either pinned to the skirting board, or shortened to make sure there was no surplus lead visible. Apart from that nothing else. Everything was well presented

Our sea-view room was beautiful. Good facilities, wonderful view. Host was very friendly. Location on the seafront was excellent. Car park was straight over the road (free). Downside was the amount of street lighting making it difficult to sleep initially, then Co-op (opposite) having their early morning deliveries. Hot weather made us have to leave the windows open and the noise was very disturbing - but, that's village life, I suppose! Hotel also organise diving parties.

Excellent location, extremely clean, really lovely sitting area, room had an enormous bed and a large window overlooking the sea. Very secure, had own key fob to get into guest house, large and roomy with plush carpets throughout. Time of breakfast was entirely up to us and the breakfast room was also the kitchen, lots of choice, fresh fruit, cereal, and a very good cooked breakfast. A hidden gem, definitely will be back!

Ticks all the boxes as indicated in my ratings on this survey. The Home Arms was recommended by a family member and it certainly lived up to my expectations.

The property was fine. it’s just staff appeared to be none committal with hospitality. Any conversation was limited to the basic questions over breakfast. When checking out neither showed any interest in showing gratitude for your custom. No query whether everything was ok and no proper goodbye. A pity really as they run a lovely guest house in an idyllic setting.

Great location with a view of the sea, the guesthouse is central to the town. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and provided tips and advice about local attractions. Very clean, beds were comfy and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The museum in town is well worth a visit.

The seagulls made their presence known - but we are, after all, at the seaside!

Only window directly opposite window in another house so felt I had to keep curtains closed at all times Nowhere to relax in room - options were top of the bed or an uncomfortable ‘kitchen’ type chair I was attending a function & a full length mirror would have been appreciated Definitely NOT suitable for mobility problems &/or mobility equipment

Lovely rooms with plenty of space and nice high ceilings. Beautiful view over looking the sea. My daughter really liked the old books on the bookcase.

There was a dog barking in one of the others rooms. Luckily this was only for a few hours in the evening around 6.30-9pm and then again for a short time in the morning. I know it can’t necessarily be helped but it was somewhat annoying.
