just got back tonight from Craw Inn where my wife and I had 3 nights peace and quiet. Rooms are basic, but very clean, we had clean towels every day, fresh bottled water and biscuits every day and let not miss this, good toilet roll, not the cheap single ply but the cushelle 3 ply toilet roll. We ate in on the first night, it was nice but to be fair not my cuppa tea, but my loved her food, after that we had already planned to eat out every other night. The breakfast was very good, day one we had 3 bacon, 3 sausages, 2 eggs, tomatoes (fresh) and toast, coffee and fresh orange juice, cereal if you wanted. After that we had to ask if we could downgrade the breakfast to small portions. Didn’t really speak with the owners as we like to keep our self to our self, but when we did, they we’re very nice and the locals made you feel welcome. All-in-all very nice, will recommend if you want nice, clean, well aired B and B without all the expensive frills. Would I go back? YES

I found the bed to soft, my wife was happy so there you go.

Susan is bringing this lovely old pub back to life. She is an excellent host and her team are friendly and efficient. We stayed there during the Queens platinum jubilee weekend and enjoyed an evening of games with the locals which was really good fun. Having stayed here several times you can really see how Susan is gradually making improvements to the small selection of rooms which were clean and comfortable. Good food also made for a very enjoyable stay. It’s also great that dogs are allowed!!

The only thing I can suggest is that when you book you get a message with the details of the bar opening times and when food is served as there isn’t anything else close by. That will help visitors manage their arrival times.

Lovely quiet village with good dog walking area. Stopped over on our way back from The Highlands. Ate in the bar area and good selection on menu board. Both had Steak pie, chips and peas. Desserts? Very yummy. We were upgraded to The Annex which was a real treat. Nice living room with small kitchenette. Stairs leading to 2 bedrooms and a nicely decorated bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, cereal followed by 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon and tomato. Toast with tea or coffee, fruit juice. All in all, a lovely little Inn with pleasant and friendly staff.

The place was well set up, the room was immaculate & had everything required for a great stay. The bed was very comfortable ( in my opinion) & I had a solid sleep, as did my partner. The bar downstairs suited us as the hosts ran a decent pub & the locals were friendly, which is all one can ask. The breakfast was very good with orange juice & a large pot of great tea.

Warm welcome, great breakfasts, even though we went in winter season meaning the pub was closed for two of the days we were still welcomed and made to feel at home. The breakfasts were lovely and the one night we had a meal it was delicious

There was a problem with the heating however we were kept informed of this and provided with alternative heating so wasn't a big issue

The comfy bed, the spacious bathroom and lovely toiletries, the peaceful location, the excellent service and friendly staff, the excellent breakfast and solid dining furniture, the fabulous terrace and on site parking.

It was all fine but would have appreciated a bath sheet or robe/cover up as I hadn't appreciated that to get to the private bathroom and loo, I would need to cross a shared corridor and I hadn't brought a dressing gown.

Breakfast at the Craw Inn was fab - plenty of it and all freshly made. The bar was also lovely, traditional and homely, and the Inn's staff were all superb, so helpful and friendly. The pub grub was grand - plenty of choice and some unexpected offerings - the crayfish salad was great! The location was perfect for exploring the area too.

We knew that the room would be quite basic and it was, but that wasn't a problem. It was clean and spacious but a few extra hangers would have been helpful! The mattress wasn't the best ever or biggest but we weren't expecting 5* luxury.

We have stayed at the inn before and we like it very much.It is a very old inn with character. The staff were exellent. We opted for an omelette for our three breakfasts and they were superb. We will stay there again.Love the place.

Everything was fine. There is a wee problem with noise coming up from the bar below, but there is not much you can do about that, other than go down and join them. They are a friendly crowd!

We stayed for 2 nights in 2 bedroom annexe apartment accessed via own front door, able to relax & come and go as pleased.Apartment was very clean & spacious, living room downstairs, bedrooms & large shower room upstairs. As mentioned in earlier reviews could benefit from a small fridge to keep milk & water chilled, but otherwise just lovely. Hosts and locals were very friendly, breakfast each morning was superb, served in dining area of pub, setting us up for day of exploring beautiful area.We all thoroughly enjoyed meal in pub on first night, appreciated use of local produce, small but changing menu .The pub is warm & welcoming, with great choice of well kept beers. We would not hesitate to return to the craw inn when exploring this area again.

Maybe nice to have a small fridge in annexe apartment

Very welcoming staff at the property. Fabulous food. Nothing was too much trouble. So glad to have visited this little gem. Will be back in warmer weather to sit on the decking. Really enjoyed meeting some of the regulars. Very hospitable and friendly community. Thanks for a great overnight stay.

The Craw Inn is a very old building so has it's quirks. It also has warmth and a great welcome. If you're looking for the sterility of the big chains, this is not for you.
