Cosy and comfortable. Nicely made bed with crisp fresh clean sheets.. Information leaflet great idea, hair dryer was a bonus. Over all a lovely hotel. Will definitely stay again

No air conditioning, fan in the room was poor Window was wedged with a teaspoon on arrival, possibly to keep the window open. Shower room to small, the door stop, was to close behind the door not allowing enough room to get in the bath let alone the shower. Not ideal for the slightly large person, like myself. Despite the shower door closing. I got out the find that the shower room floor had flooded. Had to use all towels provided to mop it up.

I’ve liked the fact it was in quiet area and that it was an excellent place to stay in very cosy room where you could rest after long day. Room was kept so warm and comfortable bed. Very nice and cosy !

Breakfast was fine , it’s just the waiting for it bit too long. Chef takes its time to cook and from what I’ve gathered and seen most of us are there for work , so would be great to wait for breakfast max 10-15min rather than half an hour. As the next day I knew the deal I’ve ordered sth that would not require long time cooking ( so it was not full English breakfast ) to avoid time wait. Cleaneres dont dust as sth oily was by my bedside and very dusty (coffe and tea area ) other than that it was great !

The hotel had lovely decor and is well maintained. The staff are fabulous. Nothing is too much bother and they are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are just what you need. Very clean with sheets that are sparkling white. The beds are very comfy. The housekeeping staff are amazing and work really hard. The full breakfast was to die for and the coffee was like being in Europe. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it. The prices are the best in the area for cheapness but a high standard of facilities. The food is lovely in the day and evenings, and the locals flock to it for meals etc. The whole vibe of the hotel, staff and locals is lovely. I especially liked my morning bleathers with the breakfast manager and chef. 🤓

this was my second stay and I was more than happy with my comfortable and pleasant room, which was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The shower was excellent too. Plenty of parking and the room is good value for money. Food is pricey and my breakfast this morning wasn’t great value - however the cooked breakfast is. Staff were polite and helpful and I would happily use this hotel again.

I think possibly the food lets the place down - having read reviews this seems to be hit and miss -but on my last visit I had a pleasant evening meal. however I was told there is a new chef.

Location excellent for family wedding at Missenden Abbey. Room and en suite very clean. Breakfast was lovely. We ate the previous evening and food was good. Staff in restaurant exceptionally good, they were working very hard and it was appreciated as it felt under staffed. I think that must be due to the difficulty in getting staff in hospitality at the moment. Hang on to the ones you have they are first class. Would go back if in the area. Rooms well equipped and plenty of hanging space for clothes which was nice. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room.

Rooms were not air conditioned so rather hot in July heat. It was in all fairness an older style building. However, there was a fan provided which we used and was thankful of.

Clean ,friendly atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable (I paid for a double room instead of a single to get a larger room and bed, as on a previous stay, the room I had was smaller and had a single bed. The food in the restaurant was lovely.

Slow check-in. Maybe an extra staff member is needed.. The shower door in room 6 is very tight to get in and out of (especially if you're a larger person). It could probably do with opening the other side..

it’s very comfortable, nice room. Restaurant and pub next door. quiet on Thursday night. i stayed here to break my journey to silverstone.

must check in by 9pm. unnecessary restriction for long distance traveller. should arrange leaving the key in a box like air b n b , for convenience. had to call if going to be late. it’s difficult if you don’t know the traffic situation. there were several emails sending us warnings that we may not be able to get into room if arrive after 9pm. this was stressful . please remove this requirement. make an arrangement for self check in if arriving after 9pm. this is my only gripe about this accommodation. not an issue if you’re arriving beforehand.

Lovely location with lots of parking. Staff were very informative on our arrival. Room although abit on the small side had everything we needed. Nice toiletries to use and soft towels. And although it sounds silly but full size mugs. Dislike little cups for tea.

The room could have done with a fresh coat of paint, some marks on the wall. But obviously dont expect them to repaint after every visit. A more modern fan would be nice. It was a warm stay and the fan we had was old and flopped forward everytime we tried to use it. It would also be nice to isolate towel rail. Although its nice to have warm towels ours was constantly red hot and on a warm day it was to hot in our bathroom.

Location was good and easily accessible. On site parking. Room was comfortable (except for the heating issue)

The toilet only flushed if you vigorously pushed the button many times. The shower head kept sliding down the rail. The cooked breakfast was only luke warm and the croisant had been melted. The waitress did offer to replace them but we were running out of time. Even with the radiator off the room was incredibly hot - we had to have the window open all night - in Feb

Well proportioned room with dust free, clean environment. Bed huge and clean. TV on wall, dressing table hanging rail for clothes. Pleasant first floor room with view across car park to grounds. Shower excellent, good hot water. Toilet and sink spotless with shelf above for wash bags etc. Good shampoo etc. independent switch for extractor. Reasonable breakfast with tea, percolated coffee and fruit juice included but specialty coffees were optional extra. Lovely staff.

Vegan spread (flora) instead of butter would have been nice.
