The Craiglands Hotel Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We loved our room. Annabelle, on reception, was very helpful. She was great at sorting out the upgrade on our room. James was very helpful for our meal on Saturday evening as my husband has allergies and they accommodated for this. The meal on Saturday was beautiful compliments to the chef. Muhammad was great at accommodating me for my breakfast each morning. James was full of knowledge and telling us of places to go. We've had a wonderful time and will definitely come back and stay again, and we don't normally do places a 2nd time. The room we had was fantastic very spacious and plenty of room.

1.The only very small criticism was we didn't know 2 events each of the nights , just we could hear the music, from our room, it didn't spoil the weekend one bit. 2. Just a little more choice on the menu for the evening meals

The location close to the town & I liked the hotels impressive stone exterior & the traditional interior of carpets & wooden flooring . The warm soft coloured walls & high ceilings, ornate coving & big chandeliers. Booked basic room & it was spacious ,tradional furniture with patterned fabric head board & crisp white cotton duvet & two soft pillows. Big bathroom with hot shower,good sized bath & soft white bath sheets. Mirrors for personal grooming & hairdryer & TV & kettle with coffee & tea ,biscuits. The Staff were friendly & helpful.

The cooked breakfast didnot have fried eggs or poached eggs or tomatoes.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was well made and well presented

The mattress was far too soft and springy, I'd never expected it to be completely firm as you need to cater for all your guests, although a little support goes a long way. Bed changing and room cleaning staff in the morning need to learn and realise it's a hotel and therefore people might be sleeping. After being woken up by the elephant in the room above me (very loud creaky floor above!!) Your morning staff went about their business, although every time a door closed, it wasn't quietly using the handle, I could feel the vibration from the slam!

Fantastic value for a large room with a huge bathroom. This grand building looks very imposing when you arrive and the reception rooms are pleasantly decorated, if a bit bland. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to take our dog, but it was a bit disappointing to find we could only eat in the bar area, which was fully booked. Luckily the hotel us only a few minutes from the town centre. The best thing about Craiglands is its proximity to the network of paths over the moors- great for a good stroll to work off the breakfast!

As mentioned above, it would have been helpful to know in advance that there was limited capacity for dining with your dog.

Room was very comfortable and clean and both rooms were next to each other. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us as we were at a wedding nearby.

I had not realised that I could not take the kids in the spa pool with me, they are 12 and 15 and after booking the hotel with a spa pool attached they were quite keen to go. I understand not having little kids in there, but I am not sure what harm it would have done for me to have them with me to chat with while we were in the pool. Additionally there was a large supplement for going into the spa which was poor value for me as I was very time limited due to all the celebrations.

I went to breakfast at 7 on the days of my stay and it was very good. I don't eat cereals and pastries but there seemed to be a wide range if delicacies. I had the cooked breakfast which was very good..thouhh only one choice of egg scrambled, and it was slightly overcooked to my taste but lots of it and tasty. Drinks were served from hot flasks. I don't drink fresh coffee myself but I'm Sure a real coffee drinker would prefer a machine that could disprnse different types whereas this was a flask of pre made coffee. The beds in the room iias in - an executive twin -were extremely comfy and the staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. There were some young staff but well trained and exceptionally helpful, particularly Asa (sp?) In the dining room. The setting is lovely and the building is a marvelllous Gothic victorian edifice set in lovely grounds on the way up to the Cow And Calf. The hotel is newish and som of the bits could still be corrected but iNoticed all the negatives in the reviews of the rooms eg no decaff coffee sachets, had been fixed. So theycare clearly tryingceey hard to being the hotel upbtob a better standard. So all in all a good enough standard and with charming young helpful staff. I would definitely have tried the spa but £25 is prohibitively priced. At £10 a day id Have gone 3 times. As it was i didnt go at all.

location was perfect for the town and walks up in Hangingstone rocks and Ilkley moor. Bed was super comfy, slept like a log and the gym and spa were well equipped. staff are friendly and efficient

nothing I didn’t like, but couple of tiny things stopped me giving it a 10. we had a bulb out in one of the lamps in the room so it was dark, and the water was temperamental. Botj times I used the shower the cold water cut off part way through and left it too hot to shower. had to turn off water and wait for a few moments before turning back on.

The hotel was comfortable, the staff without exception were welcoming, very pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms, again, were comfortable and very clean. We decided we would like to stay a further night and reception were extremely helpful and made sure we were able to keep the same bedrooms to save having to pack and unpack. It was about a five to ten minute walk to the centre of town, which was very convenient. Would definitely stay at the Craiglands Hotel again

Sadly the lift wasn't working, we were notified before our arrival and they were working to get it back in order. No ones fault just one of those things

price of drinks high ,I had a torn ligament the main car park was 19 steps up ,Didabled slots at the front door taken by pople visiting the gym and spa only one legitimate disabled badge holder I ,was going to complain to the manger ,but no point when I saw him park in disabled bay s

This place is a regular for us. Beautiful Gardens, lovely bar area. Didn't have food this time but it looked amazing. Weather so hot this time we didn't get chance to use the spa facilities. So close to town, such a lovely place with bars shops restaurants and the river. A special thanks to Sharika who went above and beyond In helping me find a lost item.

Room beautiful but no drawers in the bedside cabinets or in the dressing room. Wasn't an issue and when point ed out they were grateful for the feedback.
