Days Inn Hyde Park

Arrived an hour early, check-in accepted. Room was on the small side but not a problem. Receptionist was polite and helpful. Conveniently located for the underground, Kensington Gardens. We travelled in on the Central Line, Lancaster Gate is the stop. Walked in to Little Venice for a meal then walked to Royal Albert Hall for a performance. Wouldn't recommend walking back through the gardens at night so about half hour walk back to the hotel. Breakfast the following morning was pretty good and to be honest I hadn't even thought it was included so a massive bonus.

Bit of traffic noise, sounded like boy racers but that could have been anywhere.

Staff were fantastic. Reception gentleman on check in and two on. The desk on check out (around9.30/10am 18.02) were very approachable & smiling. Also very interactive with the children organised car parking and check us in early so bonus after bonus. Breakfast staff don’t acknowledge you as in don’t look at you or smile. They are busy but a bit more personality would be nice. But the reception staff more than make up for it.

Soft furnishings in the room damaged or stained. Beds not great some mattress toppers added and changing of lamp shades would make the rooms more appealing.

Rooms were decent size for central London and location was incredibly easy to get to and from Paddington station. Breakfast was delicious! Also we forgot a pair of shoes in the room and didn't realise it for 3 days later, and the staff were super friendly and helpful and not only found the shoes for us and confirmed it was the right ones, but put them to the side at the front desk until we were able to come back!

The location of our room was awkward as it was between stairs and a lift, so we still had to carry our luggage up some stairs regardless.

There wasn't anything not to like about the Hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the room was clean and fresh towels were provided each day. The location was perfect for our stay as we were attending a cricket match at Lord's and we were in walking distance of the ground. We were also able to drop off our cases when we arrived and also leave them on the last day until we were returning to the station. Overall an excellent stay and I would fully recommend the Hotel.

this hotel is so underrated! actually it’s a nice place to stay for that value and price! the room is small but it was enough for me and I didn’t feel uncomfortable! it’s the best price for that area, near Hyde park and Oxford st, almost the center! the shower was great with hot water and the air conditioner worked very well! the bed was also very comfortable so I don’t have a lot of disadvantages! helpful staff!

I didn’t succeed to open the window in the room, only for a little slit but maybe I did something wrong with the opening

Easy check in, two men on the front desk were very polite, with a shirt and tie. One man wasn't, please see comment below. The weather was awesome and having Paddington station on our doorstep helped us get around. The breakfast was fine, everything you could possibly want was there, so thank you! The catering staff and the cleaners obviously worked hard to keep up the standards - well done! The room was basic, but fine, it had everything you would want. It was clean. Tina Turner Musical was awesome, Buckingham Palace Tour was great. The Ritz afternoon Tea was fantastic. We booked all of these way in advance. The Big Bus open top tour around London was a good way to see the Capital sights. Check out the Oyster cards - cheaper way to travel within London.

One man on the Reception, sorry to say, was a bit sour faced and not really dressed for a Reception area. He never smiled, i don't think he liked his job! The taxi fares ordered from the hotel were a bit steep - basically £25, for whoever was being used, whereas a black cab was £10 cheaper at £15. One day the breakfast room was full of overseas students, it was far too noisy, but they left after one day thank goodness.

Great location. if you are okay using the Underground you can get anywhere and with the addition of the Elizabeth line recently it makes getting around even easier. Nice breakfast to start the day especially as it can be hard to find an early morning breakfast in England. Also, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are a hidden gem in London for lovers of green spaces. since they are west of most sights they get overlooked. We walked from the hotel down through the park over to Buckingham and had a great time.

The rooms are small but we knew that both from a previous visit and reviews. We had two adults and two kids. the beds were fine it was just how to get all the suitcases placed so you could actually make it to the bathroom and front door without leaping. We missed the full English breakfast from our last trip 13 years ago but understand it’s hard to do these days.

We visited a show at Hyde Park so the location was perfect for grabbing food locally and walking to and from the show. Breakfast was quite lovely with a variety of cold options and toast or croissants.

The beds were a little hard but I cant say too uncomfortable to sleep, our particular room was quite dark but enough lighting for purpose, we didn't use the shower as we really only used the room to store belongings and sleep and didn't stay in the room for more than this.

I was only in the room to sleep and shower and I did both those things in comfort. As is standard for London hotel rooms the bathroom isn’t large but it was clean, had decent towels and the water pressure was good in the shower. The bed was firm which I like and I had a ground floor room which had no view but was dark and quiet overnight. The continental breakfast had a good selection of cereals and breads and the tables were cleaned quickly between guests. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location for underground and railway station. Good restaurants nearby, shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was adequate for my stay, everything was there that I required. Breakfast was continental style, and there was enough.

Bed too hard for me, but as the duty manager said, they can't please everyone! Some like hard bed, some soft and some in the middle.
