Clean friendly staff who helped us after we were delayed some 5 hours by traffic. shower and bathroom were super, tea coffee and bottled water supplied.

room 1 has a mattress that needs replacing! my shoulders and hips are sore as the springs have gone. it felt like I was laying on the divan alone. I also know the hotel cannot be responsible for local idiots but screaming and shouting in the street at half past midnight!!

We stayed in The Vincent and a high Heavens rooms. rooms were immaculately clean, very spacious, comfortable beds and room was very warm

only negative was the breakfast. ordered weetabix for cereal. received one weetabix not two. cooked breakfast wasn’t great. sausages looked anaemic. we all ordered poached eggs which came and were all hard boiled so we sent them back! if you order poached egg on toast you get one slice of toast and two eggs! so portions I’d say are small and expensive for what you receive! an extra slice of bread doesn’t cost much or to have toast included in poached egg tomato and bacon.. thought breakfast was very poor for such a lovely accommodation.

The location of the hotel was perfect for what we needed - we were going to a wedding at a venue close by. It was in a beautiful little village, with a nice butchers next to the pub and a lovely little village shop too. The room was lovely. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed in there. It was really spacious, which was great. The bed was comfy, and the shower was perfect, we loved the nice touch of some toiletries provided as we had forgotten shower gel, so having some there was handy. We ended up having breakfast one of the mornings, which was in a room downstairs from our room. There was lots of choice and was reasonably priced. We had booked in for an evening meal at the pub on our first night, simply for ease. It was absolutely incredible. Although a little more expensive than what we would usually pay for a meal, it was one of the nicest meals we've ever had and would highly recommend it. Overall, we had a great stay at the Bell Inn, thank you!

There was nothing we didn't like there! Everything was just perfect!

The Bell Hotel is in a lovely quiet village and is split over 3 properties close together. Our room was nice we had a 'cosy room' and my friend had the next two tiers up. Both rooms were really nice and had modern facilities in them and they were clean. Tea and coffee was supplied in each room. The staff were friendly and attentive and made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was also nice in the separate restaurant.

It was all good, but it would have been perfect if they offered a bed and breakfast offering rather than just room only.

On arrival, we were upgraded to a superior room which was nice. Good size room, very comfortable with air con which was needed. Huge bathroom with walk in shower. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a lovely room.

We went to a wedding at a venue nearby. There was another wedding at the venue which went on much longer into the night. We were kept awake until 2.30am by people coming back to adjacent rooms, talking loudly and doors slamming shut. Not hotel’s fault really - just thoughtless people. Breakfast next morning at Ostler’s was nice but it was very busy and the staff couldn’t really cope with the numbers. We ended up waiting an hour for breakfast but when it came it was really nice. We thought it was a little pricey for what we got.

Had dinner in the hotel on two evenings and found the food to be well presented and served by attentive staff . The main reason for choosing the Bell was because we were attending a family gathering at the local church and we hosted a lunchtime buffet for 14 at the hotel . The buffet was good value, the food was well presented and the surroundings were very classic country pub .

Lovely property that had been extended over the years by acquiring adjoining properties to expand . The limitation being that it was necessary to exit one part of the property to go to another part of the hotel. Nice in a quirky way but inconvenient during inclement weather .

I was most impressed with hotel, it was clean and comfortable, nice spacious room. The hotel offered offered parking and the lady who booked me in kindly showed me to my room. I did not take advantage of the WiFi, but did use the TV, NIce hot shower! The hotel is set in a rural quiet location only 15 mins from my work destination. Yes I would stay here again.

Breakfast included would have been nice, the bed was on casters which moved when I sat down on it.

I stay at the Bell Inn every time I have business trips in the area and I can’t fault it - Beautiful old building - 15th Century coaching house. They have rooms in the Inn itself and some others in a new part adjacent to the Inn (if you can afford it pay the extra and stay in the Inn itself as these are the nicest rooms/lots of character) Excellent food in the restaurant (Just make sure you book a table in advance for an evening meal as it gets very busy most nights). Looking forward to my next stay.

Large clean room tastefully furnished. Comfy bed with quality linen. Large TV and sofa. Lovely bathroom with large shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of car park space.

Stayed at the weekend and was woken up at 7.20 and 8am by staff accessing a cupboard next to our room and holding loud conversations outside and downstairs. Appreciate people are working but they didn't appear to be concerned about waking us up.

On a work trip so it was a choice of letting the company book me in to one of those dreadful dull multichain hotels or booking this place. No brainer, this place wins hands down! My room was spacious, quirky, super clean, very warm, and very comfortable. Free onsite parking. Hotel location along the high street in this small old town was super nice. Lots of old historic building all around. Breakfast was very good although extra. Staff all very friendly. The only issue was that they had some electrical fault with the lighting, and it was strobing on and off. Not great when you have just got up and are trying to eat your breakfast. Breakfast room was very nice tho.

No complaints from the hotel side. However, dinner in the pub restaurant was another matter. Staff were very nice and friendly. It was busy at 7pm but they found a table for me. The menu had some good options, so I went for the expensive steak which had vegetables and roasted potatoes. The steak was dreadful, dry, lots of chewy gristle in it, the vegetables was just one vegetable, white cauliflower, and mean portion too, the potatoes were from a pack of frozen potato wedges. That meal on its own was £35! Very disappointed with what was presented for the price. Maybe other have had a better experience?
