Harefield Manor Hotel

The staff were polite and worked extremely hard, the hotel was in a good location with a little tesco garage up the road. Breakfast every morning was gorgeous well cooked and plenty of choice. The hotel and rooms were also spotless clean and re done dialy with fresh towels and bedding.

The room we were in could have done with a new bathroom, cracked floor tiles, 2 holes starting in the bath where things had been dropped, 2 showers over the bath, one that was old but still working but dangerously hot to scolding and could not turn it down, a new mixer shower had been fitted but shower head holder pointed right out at you and couldn't be moved so had to be held which was awkward to wash hair at the same time and the window lock was broke so could just push the window open.

Superb breakfast. Posdibly better than any of the Hiltons I have been in.. Weakness? POSSIBLY NEED TO HAVE VEGA/VEGGIE SAUSAGES AND BACON? EVEN IF AVAILABLE ON REQUEST? We are meat eatets and of course there is veral but with todays changing tadtes even for the clearly working men they cater to might not be carnivores or need non dairy milk? But truly you could not have a better breakfast and the room itself id £10-£20 less than the Premier Inn and Travel Lodges in the area and thete the breakfadts are extra. The staff very friendly and there is a bar, it doesnt do draght beers but inany ways it minimises even eliminates any idea of it being somewhere the guests get drunk. The decor is a bit tatty in places and dated but this means yoy are not in a faceless hotel and I tnink they should build on it and have it as quaint and tasteful Tbought Id asked for ground floor room. They hadnt received it (I think I didnt make it clear) anyway the receptionist just said wait a moment and... Voila we had ground floor room

Steep/high edged bath awkward but thats because I have a weak left leg and I didnt even ask for a shower so its on me. Also it would be great if rooms had air con-some do.

Perfect position for our needs, attending a nearby event. We chose a more expensive room, as we wanted something special. The bed was huge and very comfy. The room was very spacious and the bathroom tiling very good, if a little dated. The air conditioning unit was ok (once the staff showed me how to use it!) and the included breakfast was good, although rather limited in choice.

No waste paper basket in the room, only a tiny one in the bathroom. Curtain tracks were in need of refurbishment. The mushrooms at breakfast were horrible (but most of the rest was fine)

The location is good since it is a 15mins walk from the Romford station. It is super comfortable and has everything we need. The breakfast was AMAZING too! It has iron in the room, the shower was easy to use (since the temperature knob and the shower knob is separated) and the bed was comfortable.

If the breakfast could be till 10am, it would be nice because we have to wake up early to not miss it. It was summer so it was super hot without any fan. The air flow wasn’t that great.

Liked the location. Breakfast was great. .Most staff in the Hotel had a smile on there face for us which is always a bonus. Carmella in the breakfast room was efficient and always had a smile, and always seemed to be the only one doing any work. Most of the other breakfast staff were showing signs of not wanting to be there. Our room attendant was attentive and personable. All in all this budget Hotel is a little gem, we will return there as the Location suits our purpose. We will just pick a different room than room 312.

Our room was in the annexe and was modern. To look at, it was great. But the shower had a lot of, lack of maintenance issues. The over head shower only worked sometimes, luckily enough the hand held spray worked well but did not stay on it's bracket ( this could be fixed). All the controls were difficult to turn on and off. unless you were strong.Plenty of hot water and the bathroom was beautifully decorated.A hook behind the bathroom door would be nice. The thing that is bordering on a safety issue is the loose toilet seat. That needs replacing.!! Moving on to the bedroom the mattress is wearing out it's springs are working there way through. A new mattress is required. Such a shame that a beautifully decorated room is so maintenance neglected.

We were staying at your hotel for filming in Essex On arrival I was so upset,the guy on the check in spoke to use In a very unprofessional manner! I booked the hotel through booking.com & had the confirmation of booking but unfortunately hadn’t my ID which I left at home,I told him I would get ID which I did he then told me I was a liar about not having ID He also said It was not booked direct so he wasn’t happy it was booked through booking.com.. I work for a large chain of hotels & if this man spoke to customers like this he would be disciplined… Our other film team were also in the same hotel & he was so horrible to the film director Shocking is an understatement,please sort your customer service it’s not acceptable & very unprofessional

Breakfast was good with sufficient choice and helpful that it started at 6.30am as we had to set off early. We found the hotel well placed for heading towards Greenwich that morning, it was on our route and travel timings worked well for us.

We managed to park in the last space available as we arrived late in the evening, parking fairly limited. Our room was street side so busy traffic but ok, managed to sleep. Quite noisy room above us as occupant got up and moved about in the night. Sound carried through the floor which was surprising.

Bed, breakfast and room were great

Our lovely room was directly above the kitchen, unfortunately the staff were very loud from 5.30 am and we couldn’t sleep. They were shouting loudly to each other on the car park, dragging wheelie bins around in preparation for refuse collection!

Excellent location to a festival we were going to. Easy to find and lovely staff on reception. Room very clean, had all amenities we required. Lovely breakfast provided.

Room outdated but was clean. Parking was fine for us as checked in early but could imagine arriving later would mean parking on the rented car park a short walk away. We stayed over the road from the main reception but this wasn’t a problem as there is a crossing and it’s a lovely building.

The breakfast was satisfactory and my wife was supplied with gluten free bread and dairy free milk as requested when booking. We did have a problem on our previous stay. On booking our stay with booking.com I notified them that my wife was Coeliac and dairy intolerant, so required gluten/dairy free menus during our stay. When my wife wasn’t supplied with either, I was told by the hotel receptionist that I should have made the request directly with the hotel and not booking.com. How was I supposed to know this, I did not have the hotel telephone number and because my wife’s condition can be so serious, booking.com told me that they would inform Harefield Manor Hotel about my instructions, but obviously didn’t. I was not impressed to say the least.

Whilst removing unused bath towel off wall mounted shelf in Room 410 the shelf fell out of its bracket onto the floor, narrowly missing my toes, didn’t think the towel was that heavy. Only one hand towel was supplied
