Cosy warm & welcoming place to stay. Very good location for visiting London. 2 minutes from the tube station. The rooms are clean & of a good standard. All the staff are so friendly and will go above & beyond to make your stay the best possible experience. Bar food is good and the choice of breakfasts is wide and accommodating. I can highly recommend & would stay again if visiting London. Car parking is free on site but remember to register your vehicle on arrival.

Check in could be improved simply by having a point at the base of the staircase separate from the pub.

I have stayed at The Railway on several occasions now and this is by far, my best visit. From the moment I checked in the staff were, polite, professional and very friendly. The room was spotlessly clean, the facilities were excellent and far exceeded my expectations. After my night out, I returned to a large, comfortable bed, where I slept like a log. I awoke relaxed, refreshed and after a very satisfying shower I went downstairs to a hearty cooked breakfast.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay. I could not find fault with anything.

On arrival I was welcomed by the bar staff and greeted in a timely manner by Andrew who checked me in, detailed breakfast, showed me to the room, explained how to get in when the bar is closed, super helpful. I really can not fault it. On checking out all staff full of energy and gave a fond farewell.

The room did not have air conditioning and it was not expected, a fan is provided. Windows open but not very far so I imagine in the height of summer the rooms to get warm and stay warm. Breakfast menu and options needs a bit of tweaking I think. So I didn't have breakfast but I'm sure it would of been nice if I did.

I was so pleasantly surprised at the size and quality of the rooms. Admittedly I would usually stay in a hotel chain and probably would not have booked this hotel had there been a Premier inn etc in the same proximity. I was tentative as to what the room would be like being above a pub BUT I have to say the second I walked in to the bar before even seeing my room I was happy I had booked there. I was greeted by the most friendly staff in a lovely spacious pub, very well decorated and pristine. A lovely lady then walked me up to my room and that's when I was really impressed! The bathroom was twice the size of any hotel bathroom I had stayed in, it looked to be recently refurbished with heated towel racks and sensed lights around the bathroom mirror. The bedroom was huge and very clean. On top of all of this, I had phoned ahead the evening before as I knew I would be arriving way earlier than check in, so on the off chance wanted to see if I could get into my room any earlier. The staff went above and beyond, left a note on the system which allowed the staff working the next day to let me into my room as soon as I arrived! (Around midday) Out of all the hotels I have stayed in, from Premier Inns to Intercontinentals to Marriotts, THIS stay impressed me the most, and I will most certainly be booking here again 😀

Room was very clean and the staff were superb

The room was above the cellar area so early morning we had the beer delivery with massively noisy clanging barrels from 8-9 on the morning of my husbands mother's funeral, we understand its a working pub but a warning would have been nice! If warned we would have expected it and been fine but the room should maybe be priced lower on that day for the disruption, unfair to pay the same as rooms on the other side that don't have the same noise.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, my room and the communal areas were clean and presentable, the bar area was full of life but not overwhelming or disruptive if you wanted peace in your room and the patrons were friendly. obviously a popular place with the community and I can see why. I didn’t dine for lunch or dinner but the breakfast was above par and recommend.

Although I could not smell damp, the overpowering odour of air fresher was present. Not a deal breaker for me but it wouldn’t be a fair review if I didn’t mention it.

Attractive pub, good location. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were pleasant.

I expected a certain amount of noise booking a room in a pub but actually the first night was very quiet. In comparison on my second night there was music till 3-3:30 am but it wasn’t just this that kept me awake but the fact that my room overlooked the outdoor smoking area and I had to put up with loud conversation outside.

Completely exceeded my expectations as I was expecting quite a noisy room being over a pub but was amazed at how quiet it was. The bed was comfy, the room...roomy, staff friendly and location superb as the tube station is literally next door and allowed me to travel to watch Arsenal Women at the Emirates Stadium with no problems whatsoever. I even took part in their weekly quiz which was brilliantly conducted.

Room was clean and quiet. It is nice area to stay. The underground station is only a few steps away. That is really nice to go to city in London. I haven't tried breakfast here so I don't know. I had the heat was not working in the room and the receptionist replaced another room for me right away. Only one thing for myself that I a woman and travel alone, I would like to have someone to help luggages. I think they would help me to carry luggages to my room but lucky that day I had a friend to drop me off so he helped. I would ask them to help when I check out.

I don't have anything to complaint about it. Only luggage with the stair is hard for me sometimes but when I asked they are helpful.

Large room with recently refurbished bathroom and a walk-in shower. Comfortable bed and very clean room. Good cooked breakfast. Late check out time was convenient. Proximity to tube station. Free car park.

Lot of stairs to get to bedrooms so clearly not for those with walking difficulties. No cereal or fruit at breakfast. Limited car parking spaces.
