a delightful hotel with exceptional staff. great facilities, comfy and warm, a short walk from the north bay and with a pool, jacuzzi and steam room. great food too.

Unlike any number of hotels with Booking.com where it says PARKING it does have a car park and not street parking. The lift was also a bonus, as carrying luggage 🧳 up stairs is a pain. Staff were engaging and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from North Bay attractions and across the road from Peasholm Park. The beach is a five minute walk away. Rooms are spotless with plenty of storage, staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are great. There is a lift in the hotel if you need one. The hotel has a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna that is open late, it also has a games room with pool tables, table football and table tennis tables so there is lots to do if the weather is bad. It is easy to get to South Bay by the tourist buses that run along the front every 15 minutes, get an all day return ticket, great for families, you can come and go as you please all day and it only takes approx 5 minutes on the bus between the bays. We have stayed here 3 times now and will be booking again soon.

There is nothing about this hotel I can fault. Scarborough is a hilly place and if you are less mobile this maybe a problem in general.

Room was a reasonable size with sufficent storage for all my belongings & luggage. Both bed & bathroom were clean & comfortable. Bathroom was roomy & well laid out, features like the illuminated mirror were a nice touch. The provision off a fan for use in hot weather was unexpected (I didnt use it as their was sufficient ventilation from the open window). Having access to the steam room & jaccuzi after walking around in the adjacent landscaped park & over into the other half of Scarborough was an excellent way to recover

Couldn't find any maps or brochures for the town itself. The tourist leaflets I eventually found were in the games room (accessed via the lounge & a passageway behind the bar that I initially thought was a staff service corridor) but they were more regional than local. The hotel is in North bay area, which is well over a mile from the town centre, would've been nice to know how the public transport systems worked in case I had needed it (due to weather) to go exploring other parts off the town.

The hotel over all was comfortable and clean. Large windows in the rest room, brightly lit the area and gave nice views. Clean and relaxing Swimming pool. Bedroom quiet and comfortable. Good selection of food and reasonable quantities.

Only issues I had was with the bedroom. I find with single beds like this in hotels, is having a duvet cover that only just fits the size of the bed, and often ends up slippiing off you, and constantly having to adjust them. A bigger one would be helpful. I found the blind on the window inadequate for keeping light out, as it didn't fill the entire window.

It's difficult to rate as I spent so little time there, but everything seemed excellent. I arrived at 5 o'clock, went off to the theatre at 5.30, returned at 10.30, had a decent (and decently priced) pint of lager in a nearly deserted bar and went to bed. In the morning I left at 8.30 without having breakfast. I saw one member of staff who was very pleasant. So the room was clean and well equipped (nice biscuits) and I had no complaints.

So far as I could see, nothing, except that it all lacked atmosphere when I returned at 10.30 - nice spacious bar, though.

Efficient and quick check in with informative and pleasant staff. My 2 daughter's shared room was spacious and mine was adequate. Great facilities and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of staff on at breakfast and there was a good choice of breakfast to suit all tastes and requirements. Bar prices were reasonable.

Not enough on site parking for the number of rooms although the streets around the hotel had no parking restrictions and had spaces. No staff present overnight which i believe from a health and safety perspective there should be at least 1 caretaker to take responsibility in the event of an emergency.

Staff were very friendly, location was great with parking.

Arrived way before check in time and was surprised to be given our room key when we popped in to give my registration number for the car park. Second time staying here but the first time using the facilities. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely and we even had them entirely to ourselves for the first 30 minutes or so. Only four more people came in the time we were there so it was very chilled out and quiet. So close to the Open Air Theatre meaning that one of us could come back to drop off things we couldn't take inside before the show; we had queued from 4am to secure front row for Westlife so camping chairs and power packs for our phones had been essential!

Was shocked to come back to the hotel late afternoon after leaving in the early hours of the morning to find our door unlocked and door open after being cleaned. It was a bit unnerving knowing our belongings and especially my car keys were in there but the staff were very apologetic and assured that it would be addressed. Only negative for an otherwise perfect stay.
