It was perfect location, free parking out the back of the building. It was a short enjoyable walk to the beach front with lots of cafes, pubs, shops on the way. Weatherspoons is just across the road which was perfect and cheap for breakfast. Short drive or bus journey to pensholm park and Alpamare swimming which my son really enjoyed. Staff in hotel were friendly and helpful. Beds were clean and comfortable, shower was clean and still hot when used even after 3 of us. Tea/coffee facilities on the room and was giving more on our 2nd day. My 8 year old son was welcomed into the bar area with us at night 8-9pm when we came back in and had game of pool before bed. We will use this hotel again.

Only thing i think they need is a small hair dryer in the bed rooms, other than that I could not fault it.

The location was excellent over the road from the train station. My room was spacious clean with a comfy double bed. I had a good size tv fixed to the wall. I had a kettle with tea and coffee with plenty of milk. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a shower. My room was on the third floor and there was a lift.

My room was a little dark due to been painted in a dark colour, but it didn't really matter for just staying one night. My stay for one night was £100 i thought it was a little expensive when there was no breakfast i went over the road too the train station cafe.

Newly refurbished rooms were absolutely stunning. Not massive. But we were only there to get ready and sleep as we were visiting for a show. So it suited our needs perfectly. Bathroom was beautiful and the shower once at the right temperature was great! Bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep! Staff were lovely, and getting a drink on checking in was such a lovely unexpected treat! The pub downstairs was so nice and welcoming too! Having the car parking was really useful as well, we didn’t actually use the car when we got to Scarborough, but needed it for the journey there and back, so was helpful to have somewhere to leave the car.

No hairdryer in the room. Trying to find our room from the lift was a bit confusing. We were in room 15, so once getting out the lift we had to find our way to where the rooms could be and then go down and back up stairs to get to the room.

The design of the room and bathroom were beautiful, kind of an industrial style boutique room. The location was ideal for us arriving by bus - straight over the road, and the ideal for shopping down the road. We had come for a gig at the Open Air Theatre and though this was a little while away, we were in good walking distance of the seafront to get the open air bus there. The beds and pillows in the room were the most comfortable and best night's sleep I've had on a bed, this includes my own bed at home! Though situated on a main road we had a room somewhere towards the back of the hotel and the outside noise was very minimal. Before arrival I asked about an iron/ironing board facilities I was told one would be in my room. True to their word it was, though the iron did leak abit intermittently - but we were grateful for one. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave luggage before check in so we could have a wander out.

There was hooks to hand clothing but no coat hangers, which could have been a massive hindrance had we been staying longer than the one night we booked for. I definitely feel the rooms need coat hangers adding, however long customers are staying There was no mirror in the bedroom to get ready with, instead there was one huge fog resistant mirror in the bathroom but the bathroom was VERY dimly lit so we would have struggled to put make up on in there. Although I had a good night's sleep from the bed/pillows our room and next doors door was so close together and during the night and morning the people staying there were constantly letting the door slam shut. Overall I feel each room would benefit from coat hangers and a mirror in the bedroom.

Friendly helpful staff, great location. They didn't mind our slightly early arrival to get out of a huge rainstorm. Beds were lovely and comfortable, heated towel rail very much appreciated to dry out our wet jackets! Tea facilities and toiletries provided in room were lovely. Not too much noise.

Don't rely on the TV being there - in bad weather the signal cuts out. Luckily we had kindles and stuff with us, so not an issue to keep us occupied while we dried off.

The rooms was very spacious in there sister hotel and all the staff was very friendly and very welcoming

I booked a family room through booking.com l. When we arrived it was for one adult and one child not 2 adults and 2 kids as booked for. The guy who we originally booked with had no other rooms we could have and also said booking.com has dine thus many times before so it's not new to them. They offered us a family room at there sister hotel which was more expensive but well worth it. They couldn't fo enough for you I would book there again but nit through booking.com

We stayed at the Victoria last Saturday night. We arrived early 12.30 & our room was available. We was met by the manager who was extremely friendly & polite. He told us we had 2 rooms that had been renovated & they were lovely. We also had a complementary drink at the bar down stairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel & will be back to visit again.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The staff & rooms were fantastic

Bar staff & Hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional. Bed really comfortable/clean and bathroom cleaned to a high standard.

Toe nail clippings in the room, on the floor carpet, when we arrived. Could do with blackout blinds/curtains as I was awake at 5am with the sun coming in the room & also the sound of seagulls. Also, not a negative but could do with more electric sockets or extension lead.

The location and it had a free car park. It was very convenient for transport e.g. trains and buses opposite. Also it had a lift. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of supplies e.g. tea/coffee/toiletries.

The window in Room 15 didn't open but this is being rectified. I had a floor standing fan which helped keep the room cool on a warm sunny day.

lovely clean rooms, comfortable beds, pleasant staff.

room decor was very dark in some rooms, needs more light, brighter coloured decor. Main complaint from my group, was the fact that settees\sofas in the lounge areas was allowed to be used for dogs to lay and sit on, not very hygienic when other people sit on them after, possibility of flees, dirt ect from the dogs.
