The Bike & Boot Hotel

We absolutely love The Bike & Boot! It has EVERYTHING we need … great, friendly super helpful staff, great location, cool decor, comfortable beds, fantastic facilities in the rooms and throughout the hotel, powerful showers, big soft towels, well stocked mini bar, complementary water, tea and Nespresso coffee and FRESH MILK in the rooms, dressing tables with lighting and double power sockets (it’s the little details that make the difference) complimentary hot drinks and delicious afternoon cakes in the lounge…. A great bar (try the Nassau Sour!) and delicious food in the restaurant I could just go on and on and on all day about all the great things at this hotel! Ot really is fantastic and great value for money too!

We have always had a fantastic stay here every time we’ve been!

Every single member of staff were super friendly and helpful. Each one of you made our stay fantastic, from helping us with local information to a friendly chat at the bar or on our way up to our room. Really personable staff that you can see, clearly enjoy their jobs! Dog friendly, which was wonderful, because we don't have our own dog, it was lovely to greet all the lovely pooches staying in the hotel. Even they were properly catered for with little treats and water bowls around the hotel rooms. The rooms are beautifully made over, quirky and cute. The little extra touches from the coffee machines, cake, water, fresh milk etc in the minifridge just made the stay that little bit extra special. The biking facilities, dog wash stations, which we didn't use still looked great and will bear that in mind for the future. The food in the Bareca bar was fantastic, don't waste your time going to Ask Italian, this place is so good. The food is fresh and authentic, filling and tasty. You MUST try the cocktails from the bar... so much thought has gone into creating each one on the menu, all created by trained mixologists. Although our stay in Scarborough was fun, what truely made it for us was this hotel. Totally unique and we actually found it hard to leave to go wandering around the town. We will definitely be back! Would have liked to stayed longer!

Absolutely amazing for a dog friendly stay. The staff were so friendly and welcoming to our little dog, Dudley. Our room was spotless and the service was great throughout our stay. The facilities were fantastic and the little touches such as dog grooming room, free tea and coffee and doggy biscuits were a great addition.

What didn't we like,, we loved the location and the quirkyness. We were given the most beautiful mini suite on the top floor... this was so greatly appreciated. We were left feeling spoilt and hoping for another visit real soon. We didn't use the cinema unfortunately as too busy sight seeing in Scarborough. Next time it's a must as its a lovely little extra for entertainment during the summer hols. We would have stayed another night but Olly Murs had the hotel fully booked due to his Marry Me tour. Thank you @Bikeandboot. Lovely, helpful staff,, even the mini lift is a quirk! Parking was easily arranged with a parking permit that needs changing everyday you stay @1.30pm... we were lucky enough to bag a space close by. Comfy beds,, cute decor kitted out with everything you need. We forgot the free cake @4pm everyday 🤗 We'll remember next time xx

Quirky hotel in a very central location. Our room had a bedroom and separate seating area with a TV in both rooms. There was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the bedroom and a small fridge and coffee machine in the seating area. Drinks in the fridge were charged at the same price as in the Bareca which was a great restaurant with plenty of choice. The lounge areas were comfortable and the hotel was very dog friendly.

Our room was on the second floor in an area accessed by a separate staircase with no lift. It was quite a climb especially after a day out walking. The room was extremely hot (it was the hottest week of the year) and the sash windows only opened a little. A fan was supplied which was a necessity. The view from the window was of the side of the Travel Lodge next door but it didn't really bother us.

everything. it’s been decorated beautifully and the location is perfect! the fact that dogs can be there, even when eating, was just amazing! I was in dog heaven

it was perfect except parking was difficult but I get it’s very popular area but they had free parking passes with streets highlighted that we could park for free which was actually really helpful and lovely, so not actually al critique. I do t know any other hotel that has done that so definitely sets you’d apart… sorry this is probably on the wrong part of survey but I’d mentioned parking!

The hotel was nice Modern layout of the room was OK staff was brilliant food was good beds and the facilities in the room was excellent mini fridge was a excellent thing defo need in all hotels shower was great

The room just needed a little tlc the wardrobe was too big for the room not alot of room to walk around the bed (2 single beds) to the bathroom kept stubbing my toe The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall so plaster was on the floor dust and cobwebs The sink in the bathroom was a but to big for the room £170 bit pricey Breakfast was OK not alot to choose from and the ran out of fruit and got told there was no more And got told no more sauce for the pancakes but disappointed in that

Amazing renovation on a staple hotel/building in scarborough. I truly think this is the best location in town, the views of the spa bridge and sea are unmatched. The amenities are vast and all brilliant, room comfortable and really nicely decorated, bed very comfy. The breakfast was great including vegan croissants! We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was brilliant.

We were in the ‘extension’ inside the townhouse and our room backed onto the road behind the hotel and unfortunately the street outside the grand hotel which is completely swarming with kittiwakes (seagulls) who were VERY loud through the night.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming and went out of their way to help us with bag storage, toiletries and directions. The room was small but didn't feel cramped because the decoration was so lovely and homely!! Me and my partner especially took advantage of the retreat room, such a cosy environment with books and board games, we stayed there all evening :P

My only real complaint was the walls and windows seemed very thin!! Obviously as we were out and about most of the day it wasn't too irritating, but we seemed to be able to hear the people's conversations next door and the seagulls sure did like to chat into the early hours of the morning!! also the view wasn't spectacular (it was a brick wall lol), but I suppose the amazing sea views are reserved for more expensive rooms!!

Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant one evening and were impressed with the small plates also available on the menu. We had several which were exceptionally good with attentive service. The afternoon cake and complimentary tea/coffee was lovely. Parking permits were appreciated though spaces hard to find very close to the hotel.

Lack of sleep from the incessant din from the seagulls directly nesting outside our room window and the excrement from them on buildings, pavements, bench seating outside and flying through the air. I was born in Scarborough in the days when they were humanely controlled and kept to the cliffs where they should naturally be. Sadly for this reason alone I would hesitate to book at this lovely, quirky hotel again. So sad.
