Holiday Inn Express Manhattan Midtown West, an IHG Hotel

Continental breakfast was very nice. Great breakfast food choices. Great coffee and everything was fresh. Fresh fruit and nice set up of hot food servers. Hotel food staff was very pleasant and dining area is perfect. Breakfast hours are perfect too.

When I first arrived, the room I was booked into had some issues. The hotel staff made accommodations to have me switch to another room. I was satisfied. I spoke with the hotel manager about my concerns and it was acknowledged. The hotel manager did explain that they are undergoing renovations and some concerns would be addressed under the new renovations. Overall, great location! You can walk to any restaurant, grocery store, Broadway theater and NYC Transit (transportation) is all within reach of the hotel.

Staff was excellent, accommodating and hard working. Hotel was VERY full, crowded and chaotic. Appeared to be understaffed but the people at the front desk and working the breakfast remained pleasant and were really hustling to get everything done

We were put in a room in the basement that was not usually used. The house keeping staff had trash and dirty laundry throughout the hall to the point we couldn’t get through. They were extremely loud until after 11pm. Our room had no curtain, broken toilet. HOTEL WAS OVER BOOKED. The front desk staff was VERY accommodating and moved us to a new room the next day

I booked 2 rooms and ordered a king bed for both. check in was 3;00 and I arrived at the hotel at 2:50 and I was told there were no king beds left? how could that be? I booked 6 weeks in advance and you couldn’t see on my instructions that we ward king rooms and gave them away before check in time? Breakfast was from 8-10. we went down at 9;00. absolutely NO FOOD at all. I was told because it had snowed. that’s why they ran out of good. what??? there were people coming in off the street to eat for FREE. I paid and not only didn’t I get the room I ordered well in advance. there was no breakfast in the morning.

Loved the hotel. Great bedroom. Excellent service. Nice breakfast. Location just unbelievable awesome: in Hell's Kitchen area, 10 minutes from Times Square and one block away from Hudson Yards. My family stayed 6 days at the hotel and enjoyed the New York City so much. We returned to the hotel late at night by walking from Times Square every night after a long day of walking and sightseeing all over Manhattan. We felt so safe. There were many delis as well to grab some food on the way to the hotel. We specially thank Ms. Touria Assahili, front office supervisor, for her excellent service. She helped us out with a room change that made our stay just awesome. We wouldn’t have enjoyed this amazing city the great way we did without her help. We’d stay in the same hotel if we had the chance to visit NYC again.

I have no negative comments. We loved everything, especially the awesome location and excellent service.

Hi, I visited Holiday Inn around LA in January and the facilities i got there was very good. So I booked it again in the New York on my business visit. The location is excellent and was just 8-10 mins walk to the Times Square. the room size was big and clean. Breakfast was very good with many options from hot to baking plus cereals etc. The staff is always helpful and courteous, which is main bonus.

My room was on the 3rd floor and I had to take some meetings/ calls in the morning. I got interrupted with honks and other noise. I requested reception to change the room during my 5-6 days stay, but unfortunately they couldn't find anything.

The bed was so soft and comfortable! And the room was clean. In room coffee maker and fridge. I didn't try the breakfast but I appreciated that it was an option. The room was very quiet and I slept well.

Exactly one hand towel, wash rag, and body towel! Surprising, as most places give you double sets even if you are a solo traveler. The location is right across from a salvation army, which of course can't be helped but there were some unhoused folks around. One tried to get into the hotel but the receptionist was very aware and called him out.

Staff were very friendly and helpful for most part.

There were tons of students also at hotel so breakfast was always chaotic. Hotel should set rules for organizers that students need to clear their breakfast dishes, remove their garbage,, return chairs to original tables when the are done, and to stop hanging around the breakfast room when they are finished so that other guests can get in. Hotel staff were run off their feet and wasn't fair to them that no supervision was provided by organizers of groups!

The staff on reception were extremely helpful, one member of staff went over and above to assist me in printing my boarding pass for our flights home

Breakfast wasn't great. Our booking included a couch bed; for some reason the room service would enter our room, dress the main bed and ignore the couch bed. Why would someone tidy one bed and ignore the other?

Room was basic but very clean. The TV didn't work great, but internet was fine. Definitely prefer upper floor rooms. Breakfast was basic, but there was plenty to choose from and the staff maintaining the breakfast area did a great job and tried very hard to keep things stocked. Front desk staff were also friendly and we lucked out and got in our room early. Overall good stay.

The TV not working consistently was annoying, but not a big deal.

it was close to the Hudson River and cruise terminal, a short walk with our luggage to the cruise. it was also a short walk to restaurants, Time Square and subway without being in the thick of things. Although the breakfast area was crowded, the food was hot and selection good for a free breakfast. The room was comfortable with nice sheets and pillows, the room we were in was renovated with a nice shower. The staff was friendly and the price was very reasonable for NYC.

The elevators were slow.
