The facilities exceeded my expectations, I thought the property was well kept and roomy. Our room was very spacious with an ocean view. The food in the Palisades restaurant was amazing. I would go there again just for the food. It is very close to the beach with great views and plenty of cafe options.

The room we booked showed a balcony with an ocean view, however there was no balcony, just 1/2 height windows. So, while I could look out and see ocean, my children could not. The advertising and room booking system is misleading. Additionally, the bed was so soft it was difficult to sleep on without back and joint pain due to the extreme curve you ended up in. I've been to literally over 1000 hotels, and it was the worst bed I've ever had. The property needs a mattress upgrade.

the view from the balcony over looking the ocean was perfect. the bar area listing to someone sing and enjoying a few drinks was relaxing. good knowing your car is parked safe with 24 hour CCTV. I would stay again.

the bed mattress was way to soft very little support. the breakfast buffet was a little expensive for what we ate couldn't see the value in it. At least $40 over priced. car parking area is very tight. shower head had to be tied up this stopped it from sliding down when in use. rubbers that hold it in place had come away room service and reception had been notified when leaving. Room 1013.

Loved that the outdoor pool was heated, gym on site, many options on site for food/drinks and underground parking was welcome. We made use of gym, pool, restaurant for dinner, bar for drinks and card games, then buffet breakfast in the morning. Dinner was Devine! Breakfast so so… Shower was amazing and room what we asked for. This property is on the beach- great views and excellent amenities.

Not sound proof, so if you’re a light sleeper you will hear the kids running in the hallway, the early risers, street/car noise and the rolling waves- beach sounds are to be expected when you’re literally on the beach. Buffet breakfast was not as good quality as expected, coffee was blah! This coffee lover needs better coffee. Many foods were not replenished yet we got there 90 minutes before closing. Some hot foods cold.

We like everything about Novotel , the location was the best 👌... close to all favourites place we want to visit ... We loved our room, especially my 4year old son was loving it alot .. The view from our room was amazing .. It was city view overlooking the lighthouse and the street.. The breakfast we had every morning was delicious and variety .. we can't wait for our next visit .. 😍 We love the staff from the cleaners to the reception and restaurant they were all lovely and amazing ... we loved our stay for those 3 nights...

Location was convenient. The bar on ground floor is also very convenient The staff are very lovely and friendly.

It is quite loud and difficult to sleep. Don't think the windows are double glazed. Pool says heated but it is located outside so it's still cold. Also no WiFi. You have to pay for additional WiFi which I have never heard of until staying here. It's always been standard when staying in hotels I've travelled to. Also the 2nd bed was not made when I arrived. It was a fold out bed so had to call for it to be made.

The location & restaurants

We didn’t like the room as we had asked to be upgraded and paid for it but it was exactly the same as the other rooms. We opened the slide doors and had a dozen cockatoos almost come into the room. Our young daughter called us on the phone crying while we went to bar downstairs and said she was petrified as the cockatoo came in and she ran to shut the doors. Also the bed had something sticking up out of it and it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on.. in fact it left a bruise on my thigh as a result.

The ambiance and smell in the entry lobby and reception area. Beds were comfortable.

We switched off our AC in our room but for some reason strong air kept flowing inside, we felt like we were getting sick. I called the reception and they said there's nothing they can do about it. Also didn't like the dividing partitions on the balcony, it didn't feel safe nor privacy. There wasn't enough staff during breakfast, they said they were short so we cleaned our own table before we sat to eat. Due to those reasons I don't think I will book here again, it's a shame although a very nice hotel at an amazing location.

Room was a decent size, lots of space. The bed was quite comfortable, there were some lumpy pillows, but enough to choose others. The Novotel loctation suited us, right on the beach front, close to cafes and restaurants.

The toiletries and complimentary bottled water had all been opened. It wasn't a major issue as I had taken my own toiletries, but it did dawn on my that perhaps the room hadn't been cleaned property. When I mentioned it at reception they showed me the log that the room had been cleaned, and the toiletries/water just had not been replaced - done by different staff members.

Great location, friendly staff.

Room very small, there were no plates or bowls, no microwave and no balcony. Also, we got locked out within a few hours of arrival (swipe card not working) and our bed was terrible. It felt like it had a hole in it! Staff replaced it for our second night and the new mattress was fine. Also there were no TVs in the bar area to watch NRL. Overall we were not happy with the room considering the high tariff. I doubt if we will stay at a Novotel again.

The staff were amazing, gave my kids Easter eggs, housekeeping were very accommodating, reception were lovely. Stunning beach view, beautiful establishment! My kids loved the giant aquarium screens in the main social area!

Parking is a bit of a mission, we have a 4x4 and found it very difficult to maneuver around the parking lot. My partner and kids found the super soft, pillowy beds great but myself, having back issues, found myself pretty uncomfortable.. wouldn't recommend for anyone who needs a bed with lumbar support.
