Location was simply beautiful and a rooftop terrace was the cherry on top. Amazing hostel with good facilities. There's an option to rent a bike which I highly recommend. Bikes have their own thief stoppers so you can leave them anywhere you want (local people do the same which is such a nice view to be honest). Everything you need is very close - bus/train station, shops, restaurants. You must visit Kosaku restaurant - it's amazing. Hostel itself is a nice one.
Sometimes you must wait for your shower but it is a hostel life.

Amazing views of Fuji! Friendly staff and good facilities. The common area and kitchen were great. I even met some good people to climb Fuji with! Our room was lovely with a balcony and private bathroom too. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which is good. Lovely and quiet neighborhood with excellent Fuji views.
For an adult it should be totally fine, but I will just note that the location is a bit removed from the most active part of town, being a 20 minute walk from the train station. But the neighborhood was nice and we enjoyed seeing all the extensive gardens as we walked to town , but a bit of a trudge for my tired children. Taxi from the station is only 800-900 yen, so that makes luggage transit easier!

This hostel was, from all the hotels we stayed throughout the month, the best one. I loved it. The tatami rooms were very nice and clean. Even though you have share showers and bathroom it was totally fine, it was very clean. The staff was so nice, helping us to get some travel information. You can have a bike so you can explore the lakes by bike, which I totally recommend! But the best part? The observatory. Please go to the observatory and presence Fuji san in his glory. It was so nice. We were super happy!! Thank you guys!
NOTHING. Absolutely perfect stay in Kawaguchiko :D

Fantastic staff with good English proficiency who were available and accommodating and kept the communal facilities impeccably clean Amazing view of Fuji (when it chose to appear) We booked a large room with in-room ensuite plus additional sink - helpful for our party of 6 Well-equipped communal kitchen with plenty of fridge space and nice (percolator) coffee in the mornings Large communal space for eating and relaxation (also with good views of Fuji)
15-20 minute walk to the train station - but you can book a taxi for a very reasonable fare Had to set up futons ourselves - fairly thin mattresses (but you could request an extra mattress which helped) A little expensive for a single large room - but this may reflect the general prices at Fuji

We had an unobstructed view of Mt Fuji! It was absolutely amazing to wake up in the morning and see the incredible volcano right from our room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has lots of space for food storage. The lounge area is nice and there's even a rooftop to get a better view of the area. The bike rentals were the cheapest per hour that I'd seen and the bikes were quite nice.
It's a bit far from the station and there's no bus. We were able to walk it in 20ish minutes, but when you have a bit of luggage it can be more difficult since there aren't always sidewalks.

Wow! What a view! Our room looked south directly to Mt. Fuji as did the windows in the dining room and kitchen. The public space is very well laid out and functional. Kitchen is well stocked and kept very clean. Staff are very helpful and can give directions to local sights and restaurants (and speak English very well). We stayed in a more traditional Japanese room with a low table and futons to roll out on the floor for beds. It was a really nice atmosphere although note that futon mattresses are not as soft as the ones we North Americans are used to sleeping on. Large grocery store is less than 10 minute walk away. Train station is 15 minutes walk away.

Views of Mt Fuji were simply great. Spent 3 days here and she looked more beautiful every day as the weather got colder. The property is well managed with super friendly staff. The kitchen is very clean, large and accommodate several people preparing food at the same time. The mix dorm beds were sturdy and no creaking noises. Curtains provide privacy.
A bit of a walk from Kawaguchiko station (about 20 mins) esp. having to lug luggage, but the reward is good views of Mt Fuji. The shower mixer doesn't work properly as it oscillates hot and cold water, just need to adjust it to be not too hot nor too cold to have a continuous shower

we like the place because the view of mt.fuji is so beautiful like their pictures you can even see mt.fuji on the balcony.the staff are very accomodating, they try to converse with their guests and greets everyone..the lobby, kitchen is so clean we loved staying in the lobby.in the morning you can drink a cup of coffee(free for everyone) with a perfect view of mt.fuji.it's like a air bnb, hotel, dormitory, ryokan feels combined.we were happy that we had a private toilet on our room though the shared bathroom is not bad at all because it's clean.the price of the rooms are very affordable compared to a lot of pricey hotels around.parking fee is affordable.highly recommend this place and i would love to be back and stay there again on our next visit.

Very friendly staff, quite common for the Japanese but should always be commended. The best english speaking Japanese I met on our trip! It has a lot of pros. Our room is like straight out of Doraemon's world. Look a lot like Nobita's room. Can't get any more Japanese than that. Room temperature is quite comfortable and easy to adjust to our liking. The hotel itself is around 20 minute walk from the station, yet in their roof deck you have a clear unobstructed view of Mount Fuji. Fow me that outweighs the long walk. Common spaces a clean, I really felt like it was a home. Easy 10/10
Just the long walk to and from the station. But all the things I liked outweighs this.

The whole stay with K's House was excellent. The cleanliness of the Hostel can be felt as soon as you enter the door. The staff were very friendly and assisted me ahead since we arrived later than the check in time. We booked the japanese room with a view, and it was exceptional! The tatami floor was also a nice experience to sleep on. Even though the toilet and shower was communal, it was kept very clean. Toiletries were provided, except the towel. I would totally book it again.
If one will not read thoroughly what is included in the amenities, they will need to pay a rental fee for the towel. I read this ahead of time, so I brought ours.
