Quiet hotel. Good rooms. Good breakfast. Easy parking Free wifi. Pleasant grounds. Good location, close to beach and near to Gorey- much better here than the busy connurbation which is St Helier. Friendly staff. Good value price

We weren’t sure what to expect due to some of the reviews but we cannot fault the Beachcombers Hotel at all! Yes, the hotel may be a little bit tired in places, only if you’re really looking for it but that doesn’t impact the quality of stay in any way and everything was well thought of! Travelling as a family of 4, the room was perfect for us as it was only to sleep in! So space and size wasn’t an issue and the beds were comfy. The staff were super friendly and so attentive, nothing was ever to much trouble. The pool was fantastic for the kids and it was easy to walk or get a bus to the local beaches. The breakfast offering was fantastic and it was constantly replenished. The dinner menu was good and priced the same if not a bit cheaper than local establishments in the vicinity. There’s local shops nearby to buy sandwiches and snacks for lunch. We didn’t have a car which would have probably been better to get around but the buses are frequent and easy to use, the reception were really helpful with which ones we needed to get. All in all, a fabulous stay and would highly recommend! Don’t be put off by the negative comments!

An attractive and clean hotel in a lovely location. There is a bus stop near to St Helmet and lots of local walks. The pool is lovely; staff friendly and welcoming.

We were in a ground floor room overlooking an inner courtyard. The fire doors were propped open, presumably to allow staff to short cut and for both staff and guests to use it as a smoking area. We had the good sense to move the chairs from our patio so as to deter smokers and thus not to passive smoke like we had our first night. We did not like cigerette smoke wafting in our room. Having to listen to smokers' coughs was very irritating. Many plant pots outside all over the grounds are used as ashtrays with many many cigarette butts visible.

Lovely hotel but really in need of a refurbishment, we only had one evening meal , it was of a very high standard, breakfast was top class with everything you needed. beds were so comfortable. The staff were helpful and worked so hard to please

the bus by the hotel only runs every hour, and every two hours on a Sunday. There is a more regular bus which is a bit of a walk from the hotel. This is a problem as there are no street lights and the pavement can suddenly run out so a torch is needed if returning after dark.

The location is great, regular bus service, to both Gorey and St Helier, from close to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful - sorted out a problem we had very quickly. Breakfast is great - buffet style, cereals, cooked, toast and jam etc

The restaurant prices for an evening meal were quite high. For all 4 of us to eat there would have been around £120 + any drinks would have been extra. Only downside on breakfast is that there is no fresh fruit to have, only tinned.

Disappointed that the hand rail to get in to the swimming pool was broken. One reason we chose a hotel with a pool as my husband loves swimming but since he had a stroke recently was unable to get in without the hand rail. A couple of guests helped him in on one occasion but the other days he was unable to get in.

Rooms were clean and comfortable beds. Plenty of choice at breakfast and good quality produce. The reception staff - Martina and Camilla were friendly, chatty and welcoming, Eva on the bar was just lovely - these ladies are real credit to the hotel, thank you for making our stay that bit more special! The pool area was lovely, nice sun loungers and plenty of towels. We've stayed in a few different places over the years in Jersey but this is the only hotel I would go back to - it's an absolute gem!

Little confusion at breakfast as they were advertising on the menu a buffet style but it didn't happen until the Wednesday Evening menu was good but the curry wasn't flavourful and it was a limited menu So we chose to eat out instead. I placed my towels in the bathroom hung up but for some reason they provided new ones

Friendly,helpful staff, especially our waiter. Excellent breakfast. Easy parking. It was good to have a bath in the en-suite as hotels seem to be replacing them with showers only.

The menu did not change during our week’s stay which meant we only ate there twice. On the last night, we opted for a bar snack but were told that the chef could not make us anything as he was too busy in the restaurant. The swimming pool was very cold.

Very clean hotel. Room well equipped, lovely bathroom. Location was great - 15mins walk to a lovely beach and harbour with a lovely selection of cafes and restaurants. Good choice and service at breakfast. Quality of hot snacks in the e really good. Pool area small but clean.

The beds weren’t the most comfortable and pillows poor quality. Having said that we still slept well!
