We think this is one of the best locations on the island for anyone who wants to explore as well as having amazing sea views (the restaurant looks out over the bay). A short walk to the Liberty bus station provides bus services to almost anywhere on the island and all the main attractions. If you prefer not to walk you can get a number 1 bus a few minutes walk away. There is a fantastic view of the Harve des Pas bay from the hotel which is on the waters edge. On Friday and Saturday nights get your dancing gear on for live music and a disco playing a range of music to suit all ages and tastes.
The only real niggle was the low pressure shower, but that might have been because we were on the 4th floor. The water tank was directly above our room and seemed to constantly fill during the night (easily fixed with a water silencer pipe 😉).

The location was beautiful. The staff were always very friendly, even the cleaning lady asked us if her cleaning of our room was good , which it was. The breakfast waiter was lovely very attentive, always making sure you enjoyed the breakfast .
We were on the 4th floor & the water pressure for the shower was positively very poor , at times only a trickle came out of the shower ! I had read previous views about this before I had booked however didn’t realise how bad it was. I’m sure that even though the building is quite old something could be done to improve the situation as this was the only thing that let our stay down but obviously it’s an essential part of what you need when your away.

Geoff and his team (Luvin, Leo and the ladies) were exceptional as they made our stay very pleasant. One time, my husband and I almost missed dinner but they still accommodated us. The food tasted excellent. Our room though not facing the sea had a view of the marina so we can see and hear the tide. It was nice to get up or go for walks after a meal or just relax. There was no water interruption. Walking to the center of St Helier was not a problem. The walk was great as you have great views on the way and a great way to exercise.
Pillows did not smell nice as if they did not dry well. The fire alarm was on top of where the kettle was situated. Despite moving it it still triggered the alarm. They however mentioned in the book that it was very sensitive even if the windows are open. I had phobia of using the kettle after the first night. There was no air-conditioning but we did not even need to use the electric fan as the breeze was enough.

Excellent friendly and efficient staff. Especially the man who was everywhere at once and anticipated what you needed. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Views of sea from terrace, breakfast room and bedroom were outstanding. Price of drinks was better than in the cafes in the town.
I would have liked a shower cap ( disposable) in the bathroom and maybe a choice of tea in the room ( Scots prefer different tea to the English but that is personal choice.) A little biscuit in the room with the tea would have been nice. There's really nothing else they could have done better

Location couldn’t be beaten ! We sat out on the terrace having breakfast every morning & you couldn’t ask for better views Or breakfast! Excellent choice of dishes , beautifully cooked , for both breakfast and dinner The hotel itself isn’t one of those pristine, clinically tiled places , it is slightly quirky with a friendly, cosy feel Yes, the rooms could maybe benefit from a makeover, but they are clean and comfortable ,which is more important All the staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble We chose a sea view room and I’m so pleased that we did - the view constantly changes due to the tide’s ebb and flow A couple of restaurants nearby and a pub a short stroll up the road which does pub grub There is another pub opposite which we tried once, more of a locals’ place but it was friendly and played good music The hotel is about a 20 minute walk into central St Helier
This isn’t a dislike, but the hotel rooms on the seafront would be amazing if they had balconies, especially with the gorgeous weather we had !

Excellent choices for breakfast, delicious dinner menu, which tasted even better sitting outside overlooking the beach and the sea. Friendly and helpful staff in this family-run hotel, nothing was too much trouble, I had a lovely stay and particularly enjoyed the excellent live music on the Saturday evening. Hotel is on a frequent bus route, or you can walk into the centre of St Helier in 20+ minutes.
Nothing.

Staff were excellent, manager and Patricia especially !! nothing was too much trouble, we had a problem with our first room we were moved to another and it was sorted immediately, we even had breakfast thrown in. Staff, Location, and breakfast were exceptional couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely stay there again, but would book premium room.
Rooms are a bit shabby need updating, and refreshing, you could hear a lot of noise from guests above walking ( floorboards creeked very badly),and talking and laughing loudly in their room which is only a problem when it wakes you up, and you have guests that are noisy, and inconsiderate, but the hotel can't be responsible for that. Our room wasn't cleaned at all while we were there no change of towels either, I'm sure if we had told someone it would have been sorted immediately but we had already changed from our first room ,and didn't like to complain again and as we were only there for 3 nights. I think the rooms are being updated in stages, so understand the problems, and also it's an old building so limited to what can be done.

Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely and friendly, Room was a good size, if a bit dated. Loved the hotel foyer welcoming with information booklets.
There was a small fridge in the room which had a glass door and was very bright light at night so had to turn off. Music on at the weekends which we did know about but it stated ot would finish at 12pm our last night there it didn't finish until 1.15am....so didn't get a good night's sleep

The best thing was the location and being able to see and hear the sea through our bedroom window. The beds were very comfortable and the fridge in our room was extremely useful as the weather was hot. The staff were friendly and a couple of minor issues were quickly sorted out. The hotel has a lot of character and history and is right beside the beach and the Lido, which was great for swimming. It is only a 20 minute walk into the centre of St Helier or you can get a bus a few steps from the hotel which will take you to the bus station and the choice of destinations throughout the island.

The location is superb, with high tide all but washing the restaurant windows (perhaps it does in a storm.) The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The kids were treated well and were intrigued by the "funky" wooden building joins typical of the region.
Loud dance music Saturday night (and Friday, probably, though we arrived Saturday) but it ended abruptly at midnight as promised. I don't know if the sound would have carried if the windows weren't open so we could listen to the surf.
