Generally nice hotel. Old school feel. Communal areas and bar/restaurant are modest but well maintained and handy, and we enjoyed the female guitarist Saturday night. Good location to beach front. Staff helpful when needed. Okay location in terms of restaurant/cafe nearby. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main town. There's a busy pub across the road. It's a budget hotel compared to some of the newer ones nearby.
Stayed Friday night to Monday morning. Although early September and a rainy weekend, the room was way too hot at night. No aircon or fan provided. The bathroom needs updating and the shower's difficult to use. Took 10mins to work it out!! Instructions would be good. Unfortunately, I was not warned in advance when booking that a private party was being held on Saturday night on our floor that went on until around 1am. Had to keep window open due to the airless room, so it was hard to block road noise too.

A gem of a hotel, and excellent value! We have never been to Jersey before, and this hotel was the perfect location. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we arrived well before check-in, but they got our room ready for us straight away. Breakfast was lovely, sat with a great view of the sea - highly recommend the eggs benedict! The room was clean with comfy beds and fluffy white towels, tea & coffee, and a fridge. The location is perfect for exploring St Helier, only a 10 minute walk into town, and 2 minutes to the beach & lido. We left hair curlers behind, and Geoff posted them back straight away - thank you so much! Jersey is beautiful and exceeded our expectations, but the people and the service made it extra special.

The location was beautiful. The staff were always very friendly, even the cleaning lady asked us if her cleaning of our room was good , which it was. The breakfast waiter was lovely very attentive, always making sure you enjoyed the breakfast .
We were on the 4th floor & the water pressure for the shower was positively very poor , at times only a trickle came out of the shower ! I had read previous views about this before I had booked however didn’t realise how bad it was. I’m sure that even though the building is quite old something could be done to improve the situation as this was the only thing that let our stay down but obviously it’s an essential part of what you need when your away.

We think this is one of the best locations on the island for anyone who wants to explore as well as having amazing sea views (the restaurant looks out over the bay). A short walk to the Liberty bus station provides bus services to almost anywhere on the island and all the main attractions. If you prefer not to walk you can get a number 1 bus a few minutes walk away. There is a fantastic view of the Harve des Pas bay from the hotel which is on the waters edge. On Friday and Saturday nights get your dancing gear on for live music and a disco playing a range of music to suit all ages and tastes.
The only real niggle was the low pressure shower, but that might have been because we were on the 4th floor. The water tank was directly above our room and seemed to constantly fill during the night (easily fixed with a water silencer pipe 😉).

Location - although on the Road in St Helier the rear of the hotel backs on to a bay with outdoor eating area. At high tide the sea comes up to the sea wall at lower tide sands Easy to get from airport number 15 bus to centre of St Helier and number 1 to stop close to hotel. £2.35 for card contact through ticket allow 50-60 mins. Friendly hotel with freshly cooked food including breakfast Good value.
Not up to date in room 41 single room but well equipped with comfortable bed and dated coloured ensuite with tiles and shower slippery when wet. Good side view of bay

Excellent friendly and efficient staff. Especially the man who was everywhere at once and anticipated what you needed. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Views of sea from terrace, breakfast room and bedroom were outstanding. Price of drinks was better than in the cafes in the town.
I would have liked a shower cap ( disposable) in the bathroom and maybe a choice of tea in the room ( Scots prefer different tea to the English but that is personal choice.) A little biscuit in the room with the tea would have been nice. There's really nothing else they could have done better

Liked the location right on the seafront. We had upgraded to the sea view and we loved listening to the waves. Bus stop a 2 min walk away just by the lido. Breakfast was decent too with a choice of main like cooked breakfast, eggs Benedict etc. Friendly staff.
Could do with some updating. I did think mattress was quite thin. No air conditioning but they did provide a small fan. Bathroom taps didn’t seem to adjust for the hot water so it was quite scalding and couldn’t turn it down.

Geoff and his team (Luvin, Leo and the ladies) were exceptional as they made our stay very pleasant. One time, my husband and I almost missed dinner but they still accommodated us. The food tasted excellent. Our room though not facing the sea had a view of the marina so we can see and hear the tide. It was nice to get up or go for walks after a meal or just relax. There was no water interruption. Walking to the center of St Helier was not a problem. The walk was great as you have great views on the way and a great way to exercise.
Pillows did not smell nice as if they did not dry well. The fire alarm was on top of where the kettle was situated. Despite moving it it still triggered the alarm. They however mentioned in the book that it was very sensitive even if the windows are open. I had phobia of using the kettle after the first night. There was no air-conditioning but we did not even need to use the electric fan as the breeze was enough.

Location couldn’t be beaten ! We sat out on the terrace having breakfast every morning & you couldn’t ask for better views Or breakfast! Excellent choice of dishes , beautifully cooked , for both breakfast and dinner The hotel itself isn’t one of those pristine, clinically tiled places , it is slightly quirky with a friendly, cosy feel Yes, the rooms could maybe benefit from a makeover, but they are clean and comfortable ,which is more important All the staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble We chose a sea view room and I’m so pleased that we did - the view constantly changes due to the tide’s ebb and flow A couple of restaurants nearby and a pub a short stroll up the road which does pub grub There is another pub opposite which we tried once, more of a locals’ place but it was friendly and played good music The hotel is about a 20 minute walk into central St Helier
This isn’t a dislike, but the hotel rooms on the seafront would be amazing if they had balconies, especially with the gorgeous weather we had !

Excellent choices for breakfast, delicious dinner menu, which tasted even better sitting outside overlooking the beach and the sea. Friendly and helpful staff in this family-run hotel, nothing was too much trouble, I had a lovely stay and particularly enjoyed the excellent live music on the Saturday evening. Hotel is on a frequent bus route, or you can walk into the centre of St Helier in 20+ minutes.
Nothing.
