Really lovely hotel. All the staff are polite, helpful and attentive. Our room was quite spacious with a quite large bathroom and a little separate seating area and we had a terrace outside with furniture to sit out on. We ate in twice in the evenings, once in the bar and once in the restaurant, and both meals were extremely good. The breakfasts were very good too. I liked that they cooked the eggs to order (so many hotels put out scrambled and fried eggs these days on the hot breakfast bar and they go congealed!), also tea and coffee to order (not a coffee machine you have to queue for). It is about a ten minute walk to the harbour area. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

A little bit of a walk to the harbour area and restaurants, but there is a very good Italian restaurant along the street from the hotel called Mino's. Worth a visit.

Staff were excellent throughout our stay. The Breakfast Service was very good. Pastries were very fresh. Cooked breakfast had a good choice. Additional items could be ordered to the table, eggs, porridge and smoked salmon

Family room bathroom was a little bit small. Not sure how you would rectify this. There was a leak which we spotted on arrival and that was fixed immediately. Having stayed before we know the rooms are a little tired but they are clean and we're very pleased with the price as a lot of things in Jersey are expensive

The shower room was excellent. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We tried it once. very expensive and not good. The scrambled eggs were very over-done and had a horrible taste for some reason. The "continental breakfast" was pathetic! No croissants for a start. No yoghurts. The bare essentials. We had to go down the road quite a way to a cafe.

See above - the breakfast. THis really needs addressing. Not up to the expected standard and the price was outrageous

The room was oK BUT it was very hot. This might have been the victim of the hot weather but sleeping was tricky. There was a fan but it wasn’t big enough to sweep the whole room. So, We had to have the windows open and it became quite noisy at times especially from very early in the morning There was double glazing which opened all the way but the main window opened about 2 inches and didn’t allow much air in. At certain times of the year all would be fine. In this summer though not quite so

Breakfast variety was good but cooked food only just warm, hotter would have been better The reception area, bar and restaurant all had a great ambiance All staff were friendly and helpful, impression was of great leadership from the top

Our standard room was a good size and impeccably clean and recently refitted bathroom. The bed was older and too soft, pillows not great either. A new Premier Inn has or is opening nearby. The staff and facilities won’t meet that of the Best Western Royal but Premier In mattresses and pillows are always supremely comfortable.

The staff were excellent. We arrived very early on the first day due to ferry problems. Reception arranged coffee for us and had our room made up and ready as they could tell we were very jaded from our not very pleasant ferry experience.

Hot water appeared to run out sometimes or maybe we should have run tap for longer?

The staff were fantastic and location was in walking distance to the town. There was also parking on site.

The bedrooms were a bit dated and it was very noisy at night with it being on the main road, we bought some ear plugs to try and help us sleep. Had to queue for breakfast a couple of mornings too. Also there was quite a fishy odour in the main reception and pub in the evening time, which was a bit off putting. Must have been wafting out from the kitchen maybe.

We loved everything about this hotel, great location, spacious room and spotlessly clean. Staff were wonderful and attentive to our every need. Very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The food was also first class whether it was breakfast, dinner in the restaurant or room service.

Rooms were very warm (3rd floor) However the weather was exceptionally warm during our visit and there was a fan in the room.

The road, David's Place, meant it was quite noisy in the room during the night. Better glazing on the windows and air conditioning so we didn't have to keep them open would help.

Room big and spacious with sitting area. Iron in the room was great. Bathroom and shower nice.

Bed not that comfy. No wardrobe so unable to hang my dresses up because they are long and would touch the floor. Window wouldn’t shut properly and room was hot despite air con and fan- this meant lots of noise from the road during the night and early morning.
