Very nice hotel, great breakfast/dinner.

Although close to downtown, but appx 100m above the sea level. Lots of stairs to get there. Parking around the hotel is not easy. Restaurant can get very busy during breakfast and dinner. Smoking is permitted on the balcony and windows are mostly open due to the lack of air conditioning so if anyone smokes in the rooms around you, it's like living with a smoker. This is also true for the pool area. They also smoke in front of the restaurant window and at the hotel entrance. And a lot of people do smoke. It is almost impossible to find a smoke free area in the hotel :(

I loved the hotel, staff is something apart, always nice and kind, I just recommend them to change the matters for a softer one. The hotel is very nice, well kept, food is good (just need different option every day), Even with my comments I give them 10.

The noise from other people, unfortunately we can hear other people's noise all the time, even at night. People have no common sense to think about others.

Everything was perfect. We felt very welcomed. Perfect for a family vacation. Our 2-year old son enjoyed every second of our stay. Breakfast and dinner were always with lots of options and so delicious. Great location and since we visited in June there was always a free parking space on the street.

Taking into consideration this hotel is approximately 45 years old it is still holding ok even age is very visible on decorations rooms furniture etc. everything is very much 80-ties. But stuff really tries for you to feel welcome, food was very good (we took half pension) and pricing for extra drinks during dinner is very moderate (choice is not big but adequate). We are young family and this hotel had a mixture of couples like us and retired people who enjoy worm climate. Position within the city is ok, there are plenty of restaurants arround.

Furniture, bed before everything since it sounds very much when you turn around, and in general, they would need refreshment. A security safe is existing but you need to pay extra for it (a small amount though 2.5 EUR/day). Internet sometimes is moody. The not direct fault of the hotel but (mostly) retired people are waiting for the pool to get open so they can run and reserve their places already in 09:00.

Again a super week at Masaru! We go to to Masaru every year, we love it. The apartamentos is nice and very clean, the staff is kind and helpful, they solve everything you ask for your comfort! They are very fexilble. The food is exellent, delicious and plenty, various dinner, good cook and smiling staff escpecially proffessional Tino Alvares. Beautiful outlook from the apartamentos, either the garden or the ocean or the Teide mountain view! Wifi worked well. Nice pool with lovely Green garden. Good walking area, few minutes walk to see the sunset into the Atlantic Ocean. We will go back again as soon as possible! Masaru does the best every year! Thank you and see you soon! Everything was good!

The hotel was perfect for us (2 adults and an 11 year old). From the front desk staff to the cleaning team to the bar staff, the whole staff team was so warm, welcoming and helpful. Our apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean, with daily visits to clean from the staff. We had 2 balconies with beautiful views out to sea, and the kitchen area was well-equipped for self-catering (except there was no kettle). The bed in our room was extremely comfortable; the pull out bed in the lounge was perfect for our daughter, who slept comfortably all week. We had plenty of wardrobe space and a nice dining table and chairs to sit and eat at. The bathroom had a shower, 2 wash basins, a toilet and bidet, and we were provided with shower gel, soap and a shower cap, as well as lots of fresh white hand and bath towels. We had breakfast included in the room price and there was a wide variety of buffet-style dishes to choose from; we paid for evening meals there a few times too and they were also varied and very tasty, as well as great value for money. The pool area was really lovely: clean and full of beautiful trees and flowers that offered shady spots to lounge in, as well as lots of loungers to relax on around the pool; the pool itself was heated and a great size. There were always loungers available (as well as towels for hire) and the poolside cafe offered a nice variety of drinks, snacks and light meals. The evening entertainment was relaxed and family-friendly. The walk to the beach at Martianez takes about 15/20 minutes, but it is a gorgeous walk and there are lots of cafes and shops en route. We would definitely stay here again; we needed relaxation and this was the perfect place with a lovely atmosphere.

There is very little to criticise about this place, but a kettle would have been great in the room (we used a pan to boil the water). We stayed on the 4th floor facing out to sea, so it was a little noisy at night with the bars/cafes below. However, we popped relaxing sleep sounds on Alexa on our phones and that did the trick!

Friendly Staff, the room with a view gorgeous view on Teide volcano. The best swimming pool in the town, tennis courts. The location is amazing, a lot of restaurants nearby. 20 min to the downtown. Loro Park within 10 min range driving or 20-25 min walking depending on your pace. Close driving distance to shopping mall with shops and cinema. Approx 30 min drive to south of island, approx 30 min drive to Volcano. So everything was great except "What didn't you like" parts. Despite some disadvantages I would still return. Strong 8 mark from me.

We have visited Masaru twice. Last year we choose "sea view", but it was noisy. This year we choose "pool view". The room was still noisy, but still. Keep in mind none of the rooms have A/C as most apartments/hotels in Tenerife. So you you have to deal with open window and noise :) Second the breakfast is below average with plastic vegetables and very mediocre fruits, coffee and juice. Healthy food selection is missing. Strangest part is that majority of people seem to like the breakfast. I would definitely like to see more healthy food lettuces, avocado, maybe salmon and more natural juice, because the one is served tastes like "cheapest powder drink". Bed is not comfy.

We had a great 4 night stay here over the Easter holidays. The hotel is a bit dated, but this is more than made up for it's positives: the heated pool and pool area is lovely, the rooms were basic but spotless and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and efficient and the food for both breakfast and dinner was great, with fresh fruit and salads available. The half board option is exceptionally good value. We found parking easily on the street just outside the hotel and enjoyed walking downhill into the main town (5 euros in a taxi to get back). The kids loved the play area just behind the hotel (doesn't belong to the hotel) and the mini golf around the corner near by looked good, though we didn't have time to go there. There are lots of shops (including a supermarket where you can buy 8l bottles of water), restaurants and bars nearby. We asked for a quiet room and were given one overlooking the pool which was perfect. We recommend the walk to Bollullo beach.

The only improvements would have been to have a bit more variety of entertainment (it was the same man each evening when we there), and more for the kids - a games room of some sort would have been brilliant.

Our room was a very spacious (503) and fantastic view of Mount Tiede and pool view. The staff were fantastic, checkin was easy and fast, same for check out. Towels to hire (€10 deposit each towel - fully refunded on return of towel), great location. Great choice at the buffet. The staff remembered the times we ate and had our table for 9 ready. The pool area, plenty of available sunbeds, big pool. Clean pool area. We would not hesitate to repeat our stay and recommend Masaru.

The only two down points were no air con in rooms and no on site parking. Everything else was fantastic.
