The place is so beautiful you feel relaxed and happy all the time

An extremly rude waiter called Fran at dinner, such people shouldnt be working with clients, and a cleaning lady who ringed the bell despite the "please don't disturb" paper hanging on the door. She woke up my newborn. The staff could have been better.

Very good and tasty breakfast and dinner with plenty of options to choose (greens, fruits, breads, youghurts, warm dishes, sweet treats, salads, cheeses, soups). We had only breakfast included in the room price but ate dinner twice at the hotel. Good value for dinner. Big rooms and huge bed. Jacuzzi in the room. Location easy for cars and day trips (next to the highway), free parking. Nice views towards the mountains (note that it is still city view due to proximity of the highway and nearby shopping area) and the sea from the pool area. Very friendly staff (Rafa from the animation team especially!). Nice evening programs and shows. Decoration and furniture is old fashioned but still functional.

It's a bit noisy due to proximity of the highway. Also quite thin walls between the rooms and corridor (we could hear somebody pee and sneeze in the next room). It's not a hotel for sun bathing. The hotel building shades the main pool area and blocks the sun before 10 and after 15. There are some other sun bathing areas on lawn next to the kids play area and tennis/sport court. The other swimming pool was closed but I guess it receives more sunshine during the day. There is not much to see nearby and at least not by foot (eg. you cannot access the nearby shopping center easily on foot). We had a car so it was not an issue. There is also a daily bus shuttle to Puerto Cruz. Many older German guests who did not like kids running around.

Since my last stay 4 years ago, nothing much changed in the hotel, and in this case that's a rather good thing! Hotel is located on a hill (silent volcano cone) a little outside Puerto de la Cruz, beautifully overlooking the town and coastline. Away from the "buzz" of the downtown tourist area. It has a beautifully maintained garden / terasse area with several pools, bar area and magnificent views. Rooms are typically quite large "Suites" with bedroom, living room and kitchenette (without cutlery etc.; to be asked from the hotel in case its needed for a deposit). Beds are comfortable; baths are spacious and equipped with a jacuzzy. Breakfast seems always included. Quite large buffet breakfast (warm and cold). Parking is available in front of the hotel (without fee) for those who travel in rental cars.

I wouldn't say I disliked it, but one has to be aware that the fact of being away from the "buzz" of downtown Puerto de la Cruz also means, that one needs to take either a shuttle bus (provided by hotel several times a day without charge) to town, or live with a 30-45 minutes descend down the step mountain on foot. Or taking a taxi (which is advised for the way up, because it's really a steep climb... but taxis are not very expensive in PdlC ... around 7 Eur one way from town center to hotel). Some of the furniture could be modernized on occasion (it's not bad, but hasn't been changed also for some years it seems) Breakfast is generally good; but the coffee has potential for improvement

The apartment was very espacious with a jacuzzi. The views over the Teide (when no clouds). The pool looked good despite it was too cold when we were there to use it. Mega breakfast with many different choices (the freshly made omelette was fanastic). I missed a better quality cheese and meat (please we are in spain...). They had events every night.

I know that in Canarias heating is not needed but when we stayed there it was quite cold... would have appreciated this kind of hot and cold air devices. The apartment doesn't have any amenities.... when we asked at the reception for a simple knife and a plate to just make our sandwiches they said basically NO. This was a big disappointment since we booked this hotel expecting to eat some day at the apartment and so on. We had to take a knife from the breakfast. Shame. It's outside puerto de la cruz so you need car for everything.

We loved the size of our suite and the decor. The jacuzzi bath was wonderful. I'd forgotten how lovely it was to relax in a bath. The girl who cleaned our rooms was lovely and she did an excellent job. Also the view from our mountain view suite was really lovely especially at dusk when all the twinkling lights were on in the hills.

I didn't like having to pay for the package to equip the kitchen even though it was only 5 euros a day. Should be included or at least you should be told about the extra cost on the website.

The staff all around was very attentive and friendly and always had a smile on their face. We had a suite with seaview and it was great to wake up with an amazing view. The pool and garden area were very clean and the whole resort is well kept. It can be crowded at the end of the breakfast time, so I would recommend to eat before 9am for a quieter and relaxed breakfast.

Just some thoughts, though we really had a great stay: The extra bed for the child was okay for our 7 year old, but for bigger children/adults it is quite uncomfortable. The opening hours of the bistro were different than on the information we received and quite confusing, maybe updating the flyer in the rooms would help avoid that.

perfect staff. similar as in the movie “Budapest howl” nice, pretty and kind bar receptionist girl, kind waiters, fun and seems enjoying their job a lot. thank you guys you create perfect mood, I love it a lot

cold pool

Large suite room and we were upgraded from the ground floor to the first floor. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The mountain view was beautiful; we could see Mount Tiede right in front of us. The breakfast was good - fresh pancakes, eggs and a selection of fruit and drinks. The restaurant area was clean, bright and has an outdoor seating area. We visited in Jan so found it a little too cold to swim, even in the heated pool. However we made use of the tennis court and enjoyed walking around the hotel premises which were beautiful and very well-maintained. Despite the hotel looking a little dated inside in terms of style, it was really clean. There were always staff milling about cleaning things. (the exception is our bathroom which i've commented on below) We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. We found good eateries in Puerto De La Cruz and much preferred the quieter, less touristy atmosphere of this hotel and town as opposed to Los Cristianos and even Santa Cruz. We used our hired car to sightsee across the island and found this hotel to be easily accessible.

The only issue I had with this hotel was the cleanliness of the bathroom. With it being quite dated, it definitely looked worse for wear with yellowing grout. There were tiny insects on the bathroom floor and even an ugly red beetle thing that looked a lot like a miniature roach. That ruined it for me and so I didn't spend much time in there or use the 'hot-tub' (jacuzzi). Another thing is there is no iron! They lent us a vertical clothes steamer with a refundable deposit of 15 euros. It did the job but was a bit inconvenient. Would've expected an iron from a 4 star hotel.

Prior to arriving for our weekend stay we read many of the previous reviews and noted negative about waiting and bar staff. The opposite was true, everyone had a greeting, a smile and were helpful. While here my wife lost her mobile phone and a staff member ensured it’s safe return. The views are spectacular, the pools lovely. We travelled with our grandchildren and spent most of our stay around the kids pool which was perfect for us. Close to the very popular pool bar which has a good drinks selection and food. The room was gleaming, it delivered more than our expectations for sure.

The evening food wasn’t varied and not the highest quality especially on our second night but still managed to get fed satisfactorily. The breakfast and lunch options were very good and the cold salad options in particular were lovely.

Outstanding overall experience Breakfast was good. a large variety. Nightly children shows / mini Disco were amazing. The view from the hill where the hotel sits was great. Wonderful stay for kids. To repeat when possible.

The Safe in the room was not included with the room fee (standard to a 4 star hotel). No bath robes in rooms (must be standard for a 4 star). Minor issues overall forgotten.
