Hyatt Regency New Orleans

I was attending the NMA ( National Medical Accociations Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly July 29-August 3, 2023. I also extended my stay after the convention August 4-8th, I liked the fact that the convention was held (everything) at the hotel where we didn't have to go out to the convention center for our sessions. The hotel was convientley and centrally located to bus and trolly transportation,to the French Quarters restaurants and the Riverwalk, supermarket and CVS pharmacy. The staff was friendly , accomadating and professional. he I come back to New Orleans..The Hyatt New Orleans Will Be my hotel of choice.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Location was great for access to Smoothie King Center

The price advertised is no where close to what you pay when all of the taxes and fees are added

You were right next to the football stadium

The parking had to pay so much for one night and this night didn't really have no part because of other events was going on

The 24 hour food service was amazing!!! The food was shockingly delicious as well! Got back from the Paramore concert at 12am and got our food around 12:30. It’s great to sit in your room and wait for it instead of roaming New Orleans at 12am. The elevators were great too there was never a wait.

The room itself is definitely a bit outdated. They also put us in a handicap room for some reason so the shower wasn’t really a shower. Just tile floor with a curtain the went down to your knees. The shower was detachable and is in the middle of the shower. You have to huddle in one corner of the shower and be extra cautious about staying in the corner, the shower floor had no step up or lip so all the water could very easily flow into the bathroom floor

Everything was convenient. And it was clean

I had to pay for breakfast and valet services. I was taken care of though with a nice staff. Plumbing needs to be fixed, took bathtub too long to drain.

Everything was great until Saturday. Waited 60 minutes to park as a large group of Garth Brooks fans were checking in. Received a $ 40.00 ticket from meter maid as I refused to go around the block and get in line as I had already waited 60 minutes. Escalators and elevators quite working. When returning from concert, internet was down so could not order food. Saturday was a complete fiasco. Was supposed to stay Sunday but checked out instead.

location was great, walking distance to the French quarter and easy access to the garden district rooms were clean and bright several dining options incl Starbucks on site

almost too big so there is a long way to the front desk. And when there were lots of people in the hotel, we had to wait a long time for the elevators breakfast is way too expensive - especially when you have kids who don’t eat so much (there is no kids price)

The rooms are nice. You can tell by the bathrooms that there were renovations. Great view of the city. Close to superdome and smoothie king stadium. Staff was friendly. The elevator system is new technology and can be complex due to the large crowds in the hotel. Overall it is a nice hotel. It has a Starbucks and restaurant inside.

It's a super busy hotel. It can be hard to get someone on the phone. Breakfast was not all that spectacular. The front desk to hotel room is a good distance. Elevators are limited in size.

1st The staff were polite and helpful 2nd An actual Starbucks 3rd The environment was classy yet fun, perfect for game day being steeps from the Superdome 4th Comfy beds...I needed that 5th We are going across the country by train and it's so close to the train station 6th We had an accessible room, and we had plenty of room, and the shower was perfect.

We needed to hurry and check out. We tried to call the bellman and the front desk, but nobody answered. I had to call from my phone to get them to answer.

Location was perfect for the venue we were going to at the Smoothie King Center. Restaurants on the facility were convenient and good. Never had to wait for the elevator even when it was crowded. They have that system figured out!

The price was a tad high, but it was worth it to be so close to Smoothie King Center. We did stay in a suite. The furniture and carpet in the room could use updating. The carpet was buckling and the wallpaper was coming off the wall in areas which made it look dated.
