Ayenda Continental Mexicano

The room was exactly as in the pictures, and the staff were very friendly and helpful - they allowed me to check in early in the morning and used their phones to communicate with me whenever my Spanish listening wasn't good enough. They asked me every day if I wanted my room to be cleaned, even when it was cleaned the day before. The hotel's location is great - only 10 mins walk from the main square (Zócalo) and from there, everything is in 2-3 mins walking distance, including bars, restaurants, shops, museums, landsmarks, etc. I would highly recommend Ayenda Continental Mexicano to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Mexico City 😊

There was no lift as it was still being built. However, my room was on the first floor, so I had no problem at all doing a bit of exercise up and down whenever I needed to 🙂

New,clean, and comfortable furnishings. Plenty of hot water. Good wifi. Very short walk to the Zocalo. Three or four blocks to bus that takes you to the airport. Reasonable rates. OXXO a few feet away from the hotel entrance. 24 hour front desk. Shop till you drop neighborhood.

No fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning. Very hard pillows. I had to go out and buy a softer pillow. But lots of shops in the area sell them.

Location, it was easy to get there. Surroundings seemed a bit insecure at night, especially for solo travelers.

Very noisy at night. There was one off the guests who was laughing and screaming very loudly around 2 or 3 in the morning. I mean, really loud for more than an hour and no one got there to tell her to shut up.

Nice hotel in a pretty good location with friendly staff and good facilities. Wifi was fast and stable, room was quite comfortable and there's a water dispenser on each floor.

Better soundproofing would be nice in the rooms, as you can hear people talking loudly in the foyer. Also a bit more ventilation in the room would be nice, given it gets quite humid at times.

My trip was mainly to visit the zocalo area. The hotel was 15 minutes walking distance from my main area of exploration. I was very happy to find out I was close to many places I looked forward to visiting. The room was compact but we still had enough space to keep our belongings and to walk around the room. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were thick. I don’t usually use a pillow. They had space to hang your clothes, a shelf for storage, and what seemed like a built in desk. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We had ample space to even sit on the floor to play a board game. We were advised by outsiders to avoid being out late in this neighborhood. We were in our room by 7pm and did not encounter any problems. The staff was very friendly and courteous from the moment we walked in. There were no views to the outside but that was not what I was looking for when I made my selection of where to stay. The room was cleaned while we were out. There is some remodeling going on but they did not disturb our rest when we came in. When I checked out I needed help with transportation and we received help from the owner and another staff member. While we waited for our transportation several families came in to check in. I was accompanied by 1 of the staff for most of my wait for transportation to make sure I had received the help needed. I was extremely pleased to have someone accompany me because this experience was completely new to me. I was even helped to load my luggage into the Uber.

Since there were 4 of us, when we were done showering the floor was all wet as there is only a shower curtain separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom.

I stayed one night after the flight to continue the bus the next morning. Good location close to airport, bus station and center. The room was clean. Acceptable room size. Responsive and helpful staff. You can pay with a bank card. The OXXO store is also nearby.

The hotel was undergoing renovations, so it was a bit messy around. There were various building materials on the top floor. Work is also possible at night. The sound insulation is quite low, as you can hear all the surrounding noise from the street, but it seemed to be the case for the most part. The area looks a bit messy because there are a lot of street vendors around with various doubtful people.

Lovely hotel, great room and bathroom. Internet worked. Enjoyed our stay in here. We asked to leave our bags while exploring before leaving, which was allowed. Friendly staff.

Elevator didn't work, but wasn't too much of an issue for us, even though we were at the top floor. No air-con, fan was too loud but still was ok

Renovated hotel, less than 10min walk from the very centre of Mexico City. They provide free filtered water.

The neighbourhood can be very eerie after the market closes (after 7pm). Walking there from the Zocalo doesn’t feel as safe as one would wish, specially after 10pm when all the streets are empty.

The location of this boutique hotel is very convenient, only 10 mins walking distance to Zocalo! During the day, there are many vendors/little shops everywhere. As a single female, I felt safe in the area even when alone in the evening. The staff really takes your security seriously and you can tell they do all they can to protect their guests. They were kind enough to keep my luggage for me while I visited another city. Ramon (manager) was the best and even took a little tour around the area to explain the history of the place. The bed was comfortable and Wi-fi was good. The shower had a spa-like feel and was very relaxing.

The room was a bit small. In the summer, it may a get a bit but I was told that fans could be placed in the rooms.

Everything was great. The hotel is inwalking distance to the city center. The most important thing is that the staff is very helpful. I forgot a wrist watch in the hotel room. The staff inform us and they sent it to me in Greece. We are very grateful. Excellent service 👌
