location, cleanliness, very nice maids and desk staff

I booked the budget room room and it had windows that opened onto interior service courtyard/exhaust fans, etc. so consider upgrading for a view and better ventilation.

The hotel is situated less than a two minute walk from the Zocalo (main square in Mexico City), but is on the Uruguay street which means the surroundings feel much quieter than the Zocalo itself. All the staff members were excellent, they made me and my friend feel very welcome at their hotel and were able to attend to any of the questions and requests we had. Overall a fantastic stay.

While only minor issues, the noise insulation in the hotel isn't particularly great, it might be an problem if you're a light sleeper, and the rooms weren't particularly large, but neither of these problems impacted an overall great stay!

Confortable rooms , good location

I have contacted the property so many times letting them know I was making the reservation for my parents. The reservation was under my dad’s name , howevwr when they arrived they could not locate the reservation because the lady said I paid for the room so the reservation was under my name. My parents were waiting concerned thinking there was not reservation under their name. The reservation clearly had his name not mine , but clearly who was at thw front desk maybe was new or was not paying attention

The front desk staff provided excellent customer service. As one of the rooms we found had a step up step in order to go into the bathroom, and my Mom would have trouble stepping up, so the front desk did what they had to and changed rooms for us. The location was great just a block away to the Zocalo and many retail shops and places to eat. We selected the room that included breakfast, and of course, everyone will have different experiences, our experience with the food and service there, was just not worth it. So next time, we will choose to go out of the hotel for breakfast, as there will be plenty of places around for breakfast. The front desk assisted us by calling a taxi service they trust and work with on regular basis.

nothing to complaint about

Nothing beats the location, location, location. We loved the fact that housekeeping comes everyday to clean/tidy our room, change towels (we haven't experienced this service in US for the past 2 years d/t covid), and give 2 bottled water daily. The front desk staff is patient and accommodating even with their limited English/ language barrier (Google translate is a big help). One male front desk staff taught us some words. The hotel is very clean. We would have loved to stay in the renovated rooms by the street, but it was kind of loud, so we chose an inner room which still has an older bathroom; but nevertheless, it was very clean, very quiet. For the restaurant, we didn't know during check in that we were supposed to get a breakfast coupon to get our free breakfast. But we managed to get our breakfast coupon everyday before heading to Maple Restaurant adjacent to the hotel. There's one waiter (afternoon shift) who is very hospitable and friendly... really appreciate his service. Our breakfast waiter was very quiet but by our second breakfast he already knew what we'd usually want for our beverage and he's efficient with his job. Kudos to him!

There are no English channels on their TV and there is no TV remote control. You have to get the lock mechanism for the safe box with deposit from the front desk.

Hard to beat the price and the location to be honest. Right next to everything in the historical center. The room also had AC and a good hot shower, which was a great bonus.

The room was a little small, nothing special. What I did not like the most was the noise on a Saturday night, but that actually came from other annoying guests who would not shut up. Also, not so much light in the room as they were not street facing, but then I guess I would have to deal with noise, so its a tradeoff.

This hotel is perfectly located near the Zocalo and all the attractions in Historic Centro. The hotel gets high points from us for having an elevator and being very clean with modern and new rooms. Very comfortable bed and linens. Easy check in and out. Wonderful front desk staff. The cleaning lady was a sweetheart. We felt very safe in the hotel and in the area, day or night. Fairly reliable WIFI. Monogrammed linens and towels with the hotel's logo. Bonus: The large, two-tiered safe is excellent. You pay a 350 peso deposit to get the lock and key.

We woke up early one day and decided to eat in the hotel's Maple Restaurant. Mistake! They painstakingly made the coffee separately for each cup and it was weak like tea and tepid - undrinkable. Please, get a new coffee system!!

Exceptional location, very close to the Zocalo and the Cathedral. Located just between two metro stations (Zocalo and Pino Suarez). Room was small, but coasy and comfortable. Staff was polite, and we had nice roomcleaning every day.

The door on the room have very poor sound isolation and they didn't stopped the noise coming from the hallway early in the morning or during the night.

The hotel was clean, staff were really helpful and it’s such a great location! Breakfast was great - lots of choices - and delicious! Amazing value for money!

The only negative thing I can say is our room was small - but even with that, they did a great job of maximizing the storage space! And given the value for money (location, clean, modern hotel, breakfast included) the size of the room is not a complaint by any means.

Great location is the biggest plus of this hotel—clean and comfy rooms. Don't expect any services like a gym or so, it's all about the location, cleanliness and value for money.

Breakfast was overall disappointing, dishes never arrived at the same time, food sometimes was not adequately prepared, sometimes they forget orders and their top achievement was an hour difference between serving out the first dish versus the last, an accomplishment few restaurants ever achieved.
