Understaffed in the bar restaurant, Long wait for main course which when arrived was excellent, long delay in plates being cleared and sweet menu obtained, card to accomodation block failed on return to rooms on second day maybe not programmed for second day, breakfast situation not explined that the cerial etc was available until after the cooked breakfast which was very good, had been consumed. As stated, appeared very understaffed in the bar and the staff ran off their feet but remained pleasant and professional, a credit to them. We will return now we are aware of how things operate.

Nice quiet location, within a 10 minute walk of the seafront along a wide shared pathway/ cycle path. Lovely staff who couldn't be more helpful. Beds were really comfortable, plenty of space for the 3 of us, clean and tidy. Perfect for what we needed. We were a tad concerned at our ground floor, next to the door location but it didn't cause any problems at all.

It's a minor niggle really. Just wanted to note that if you receive a booking for a family room and your booking shows 3 guests, please PLEASE supply enough glasses and cups for 3 people! Additionally, more of those teeny tiny sachets of milk! We made do with what we had (and appreciate that we could have gone across the carpark to the pub and doubtless been given what was needed if we'd asked) but would have appreciated that little attention to detail.

The staff & the food in the restaurant was excellent. The ladies cleaning the rooms were very friendly. Location walking distance to Aberythwith.

the room was spotless. the cleaning staff were exceptional and helpful. the only problem was the shower drain in the bathroom. it was a walk in shower and the water cameup to the bathroom door because it was not draining down the hole and took a long time accident waiting to happen !

we had a meal in the pub and it could have been better. I had prawn cocktail which consisted of 5 prawns chunks of red onion and tomato and 3 limp lettuce leaves and the sauce which looked like it had been left standing for a while. as we had been waiting for a while I was starving. there was no butter with the bread for me or for my husband with his soup. the bar staff were polite and hardworking. my husband had mixed grill which he only had 8 chips with on his plate for £18!! we wanted a pudding but the staff were too busy and running around to order. plus I didn’t know how much longer we would have had to wait x it was definitely not value for money. I wanted to complain but my husband didn’t want me too!

Comfortable and clean rooms in a separate block to the pub, good security and parking, very pleasant and helpful staff, impressed with the attention paid to the requirements of allergen sufferers on the food menu.

Whilst the staff are lovely, polite and courteous, we do have an aversion to being referred to as “guys”, whatever happened to using “sir” and “madam”?

Room was comfortable and reasonably clean.

Not so easy to find. Was not where sat nav said it was. Room comfy but needed painting, walls a little grubby. Towels in bathroom appeared clean but when I opened one, it had been used as dirty hand print on it. Food good on the evening but breakfast pancakes bought in and not made on site, fruit was frozen and strawberries still were when I ate them and maple syrup was honey! Charged my 9 year old a full price breakfast for two pieces of bacon in bread. Definitely not good value.

Location was excellent a short walk from the town centre and sea front, nice clean, comfortable room, ample breakfast, we had our evening meals in the bar/restaurant, plenty to choose from and all very tasty, staff were friendly

There was no non-slip mat in the bath which made showering a bit precarious for the over 60's like us. Staffing levels in the bar/restaurant were insufficient and although they tried their best, service was quite hit and miss, often the staff avoided eye contact with customers ( I think they were embarrassed )

I booked this hotel because it had its own car park and was within easy walking distance of the town centre. It delivered on both counts. It’s also very close to the steam train station. Check in was at the pub/restaurant with the accommodation in a separate block next door. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor and was clean, spacious and airy with a huge comfy bed. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was of reasonable quality and the service was excellent. We had pancakes for breakfast which made a welcome change from the usual, unimaginative full Welsh.

The room was a bit bland and characterless as is often the case with accommodation of this sort but in all honesty we much preferred it to some of the more quirky places that we’ve stayed in. The over the bath shower had a shower curtain.....a big no no. I hate hairdryers where there is a button to press to keep it going, so annoying. We’d definitely stay here again though.

Location ok breakfast was excellent staff that worked at night was excellent a shout out to the woman who did all the orders cleaning of tables and made sure we had everything we wanted was the woman working on her own at breakfast

We know it a family and local pub but when you are eating your evening meal what you don’t want is children tuning around screaming when there father was drink and not staff told them to stop running around

menu in pub was decent. Breakfast brilliant and not badly priced. Beds very comfortable and rooms clean and quiet. Staff were all good polite and helpful

The fact bar closed at 20.30 every evening, especially on a weekend to, asked staff why and told its down to Marstons, so my answer to management at Marstons get your head out your arses listen to staff and stay open. There was 12 of us who ended up having to spend money at another hotel just down the road.
