Hotel 309

Refreshing experience! The room was simple, spacious with large windows opening to the patio. Kitchenette, 6 foot granite shower. Room was very clean. The staff very nice, responsive to any call. Relaxed and also got loads of work done.

There was no landline.

The location was awesome. Right near Chelsea and the West VIillage, with heaps of cute and trendy restaurants nearby. Wasn't a touristy area but was still busy and exciting, so it felt like we blended into the New York vibe which was nice. Walking distance to the 'tourist area' but was nice to be staying away from that area. Really close to the High Line too, which was fantastic.

The bathrooms were cleaned but still felt a little dirty, but that wasn't a huge issue as there was a basin in the room to clean teeth in etc. so didn't need to spend much time in the shared bathrooms. There was a strong stale smell in our room of smoke/weed but it wasn't the be-all and end-all, and you don't notice it after a while. The positives of this place out weigh the negatives.

The receptionists are so accommodating. I had to have supplies delivered from my company ordered and it was constantly everyday, but they were always nice about receiving it. Deffo helps out with anything you need too. Its a few feet away from Subway A,C,E and 1 blck away from subway 1

The bath is shared & at first I thought it was a bad idea, but it really isn’t. They constantly clean & maintain it everyday. And its not like you have to fall in line to pee. It’s usually vacant and thats saying something cause Ive been more in my room in the most part of my stay than was outside.

Got to shower with a girl in the shared facility for defecating/watering your self.

No english muffins for breakfast. Or rather, no breakfast

*The room card keys had to be reprogrammed by hotel staff because they stopped working. Hotel staff told us on our last day it was because we kept the key cards too close to our mobile phones. Apparently it affects the key cards functionality *Shared bathrooms kind of dirty

I really liked my room, it had a decent bathroom for one, nice shower, a mini fridge and things like mugs and silverware provided, which was nice when I brought back ice cream and needed a spoon. They cleaned the room daily. The staff was also very helpful. The location is also really good, super close to a couple subway stations and lots of restaurants/bars/stuff to do very close by.

The bed was not very comfortable, especially the pillows. The sheets weren't terrible but def not soft. I really only had a problem with the room while trying to sleeping.

Location is fantastic !!! next to the subway 14th street walking distance to west village , Chelsea staff very nice and friendly

the reviews before from other travelers the hotel is inexpensive and I am so thankful it exists. for the price though you cannot pretend to get a 5 star hotel. it feels actually very close to an old west village apartment . a bit shabby but lots of character and there are no bugs !!

The location felt very safe in the day and night. The room because it had a little kitchenette made the stay more comfortable.

Mattress desperately needs to be changed in room 50, you just fall into the middle of it and it’s very uncomfortable. Bathrooms were not mopped the whole four days we stayed, which is probably why it smelt like urine.

The hotel cat! The staff were so kind and welcoming. We felt comfortable and stayed for 8 days. Every day they came and cleaned the room and felt like they put care into our stay.

The bed we had was a little unstable and the headboard kept hitting the wall. We put a towel on it and solved the issue immediately!

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Hotel 309. The staff is excellent and always willing to help. They have housekeeping every day we were there. The Bathrooms are shared but were always kept clean. If they can accommodate you rest assured they will. We look forward to staying there again real soon.

really nothing we did not like. The location was great and so was the hotel.
