Selina Chelsea

The location is great and I love the boutique feel of the hotel. The interior design is very cool, bed is actually very comfortable and I had a nice view of the Zaha Hadid building across the street -- though the room has a bit left to be desired.

like many others have said - the room switches are just ridiculous. Seems like so much care was taken in designing the low key comfort/dimly-lit-cool-industrial vibes of the rooms and common areas and no one thought about how to turn the lights and window shades on/off...

cute, super clean, didn’t feel like I was at a place with shared accommodations. like the minimalist vibe, didn’t feel like an excuse to be cheap. was actually pretty stylish.

restaurant staff was MIA. Wouldn’t say it was a good value, private room was about the same price as Hyatt Place. i’m looking to go back to the same area for work in a couple weeks, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this to work colleagues, since it doesn’t quite compare to the amenities of a hotel (like no safe in rooms.) And even by New York standards, standard private room is pretty small.

The fire alarm kept beeping in my room which was a bit annoying. The location is okay but not great. I might stay here again and go to the rooftop for the free happy hour but the price could be better for the lack of amenities and sort of depressing room.

Selina is a you g and vibrant hotel in the meat parking area. surrounded with galleries, great restaurants, Chelsey market and the high line. The team is amazing. Great food. Great location for business meetings. They also let us take a shower in a room before our flight- that was extraordinary and top service. We would definitely come back 🔥🙏🏼.

I came across the Selina brand in Tulum last year and was truly delighted to see there was a New York location! Checking in was pretty smooth and they provided me with a delicious welcome drink shortly after. The suite I was given had an amazing bed and shower as well as a stellar view. I stayed for the weekend and had a blast attending one of their rooftop parties. Overall it was a pleasant stay, felt very at home.

Lighting could be better in the room. It is a bit of an issue when getting dressed in the evening. Other than that a great stay and room!

This hotel is a gem! The staff was friendly and careful, the location was so ideal— surrounded by art galleries, high line entrance right around the corner, Hudson River up the block, 15 min walk to Chelsea market and little island and more. You can only imagine what the views were like on their Rooftop. We had amazing cocktails and dinner at the restaurant downstairs the first night ( highly recommend the Peruvian ceviche) and went up to the rooftop for a live art event! We will definitely be back and recommend it!

Martin the front desk clerk was incredibly friendly and on several occasions wanted to make sure that if there was anything he could help me with, just ask

Wonderful lobby bar and nice staff but maybe post the hours and also even though they’re not the same company as the hotel, find a way to not make that so evident to your hotel guests

I enjoyed the room. The bed was cozy. I loved the shower. The room layout was minimal yet designed well. I enjoyed the view from my window. The hotel is located near the High Line.

The hotel needs a restaurant or some type of food options. One night, I went hungry cause there was no where to eat. The hotel is located near the High Line, however the neighborhood is too quiet for a major metropolis. Also, I arrived early to check in my luggage. I waited at the front desk for ten minutes as the receptionist chatted and chatted on the phone as if he did not want to acknowledge my presence at the counter. I was not pleased at this lack of communication. Customers come first not when they are convenient.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, great staff. My experience was great since I arrived, the lobby was playing nice lounge music and the decoration is great. My check-in process was smooth and my room was ready before 3 pm which is the check-in time. The room was perfect, super clean, and with a great view, my girlfriend and I loved the see-through shower walls, spacious room, and super comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff was helpful and give us tons of places to go sightseeing. This was our first time we stayed in a Selina but now we want more! It was a perfect weekend getaway!

The lobby/cowork space was great for my remote work during my stay at NYC, the hotel is right next to the highline and close to several main attractions in the city, it was nice walking around on my free time. I loved the design of the rooms, and the staff was so helpful and showed they cared, Tony and Alejandro were so helpful and accommodated me the best posible way, we are all still going through a pandemic and you can tell how much it has affected the hospitality industry, but the staff will do everything possible to solve your problems. They mentioned that by May they will reopen their restaurant with outdoor dinning, inside patio, a club in the basement and a rooftop bar with pool, honestly I can’t wait to come back and see this place again! I would definitely recommend this place and for the price I payed this is bargain.
