they should have explained the rules before. it was embarrassing to lounge on a chair only to be told I did not make a reservation and pay $80 after 11 am. false advertising that pool is included

The hotel is right in the middle of the very hip Chelsea market area. Tons of restaurants, shopping, piers and the high line were the highlights near the hotel that were a huge plus and the convenience of the subway and bus to travel to anywhere in NYC. It is buzzing always hence pretty safe. The gym and the pool were a huge surprise. Loved both. The lobby is gorgeous. I stayed with my teenage daughters and the nightlife here isn't something that I explored but seemed like a popular place. The room was spacious for the 3 of us and had pretty much everything that we wanted. I have stayed in the area in a different hotel before, I found dream Downtown great value for the money I paid for the stay.

Wish the cafe would be open until later. It shuts at 2pm. Would have liked the pool access for the kids a little later into the day or for a bit in the evening. pool access for kids is only from 7.30 am until 10.30 am.

We were upgraded to two rooms with king beds instead of one room with two full beds. The location was terrific. The hotel had a pool, which was ideal in the hot summer months, and cafe with good breakfast food. The staff working the pool area were attentive and always there with complimentary waters. Some guests complained about noise late at night, but we did not hear anything, perhaps because we were at the end of the hallway.

The pool was crowded because the hotel allows people entry even if they are not staying at the hotel (great way for the hotel to make extra money, but the pool was small already and with those extra people, very crowded). Also, we didn’t pay the expensive price tag to reserve chaise lounges, so we had no where to put our towels and clothes while we were in the pool.

It was really cozy despite there being 2 clubs on site. The hotel looks really cool and futuristic. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, answered my questions and gave recommendations. The pool is fun too and a plus for summer stays

The rooms furniture was a little dated. For the hotel to be about a decade years old, I wouldn’t have expected the furniture to be chipped. Stains on the desk chair and some things were scrapped. That was the only thing that made me feel weird. Also the pool club is nice but there should be more time for strictly hotel guests to be able to enjoy it without everyone so hype and in party mode

great location, very near to subway. Travelled as a family of 4 with teenagers. Clean & modern interior. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but the shower facilities were excellent. We stayed during the Christmas Break, it was obvious that it was going to be noisy on New Year's Eve and we didn't mind. We were located on the 3rd floor and had no real issues with noise. Didn't use the food facilities at the hotel, put off by the prices. Housekeeping team kept the room well maintained throughout the stay. Friendly staff and felt welcomed.

Proximity to our venue was amazingly simple by foot so a huge plus there! Also worked well with after guests at the lobby lounge.

Front desk for check in was somewhat disorganized at best. We were informed of the recent conversation with another hotel as an excuse so wasn’t overly irritated. We were not offered any sort of comps including food or beverages for the inconveniences so that’s a huge downfall. At end of evening we wanted to enjoy the on-site club but were told we had no clout as guests of Dream, total BS for the price of the room so we dropped our $ in the lobby bar. Poor customer relations here.

The property was great! So beautifully designed and nice location. I really enjoyed my stay. Rosie at the desk really made my stay even better. Every time she saw us asked how we were doing. I had booked PHD but at the wrong location she guided us on what to do and I really think she deserves the recognition for going above and beyond. I had a great time at the PHD rooftop because of her!! give that girl a raise .

the lighting in the rooms were not great and not user friendly. also if you are a guest at the hotel you should automatically be able to attend any location in the hotel without question. I had to make reservations to be in the pool area with a wrist band.

Location and room

Door guys at club rude trying to get extra money and when told your staff arguing with me saying others pay that…. 200 at 2am Also room service came in 2 times without knocking also nice to call but going out night before for work had to open door for engineers to figure out why the bathroom was leaking into the room down below and I did let them in and front desk was nice about calling but extremely tired and was extremely loud with drilling etc…. Some of the front desk acts like you bug them if you ask questions just not very cool and funny thing is that I never tried to get a discount rate etc….. I paid full for everything while knowing people that work for the company…. Room and location was awesome that’s why I picked the dream but not sure if I will come again.

The hotel itself is really adorable and it's super modern and hip. The entrance is a big wooden door - it took us a while to find it. The lobby is stunning but breakfast isn't provided part of the package even though we stayed at an upgraded suite. But there were tons of options around so it gave us a reason to start our day early. it's super close to Chelsea market and walkable to everywhere else! the staff are soooo nice and friendly and everything was clean and sparkly!

I saw the pool from the window and it looked relatively small, but it's still a pool I suppose. I don't know why but every time we wanted a quick stop at the cafe at the hotel, they were closed - we'd be there at 11ish/12pm but they'd say they're closed.

The location was excellent, with the subway down the street and Chelsea Market practically across the street. The hotel was nice and sleek, with the front desk being very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in and receive our room at 1pm - unheard of! Bed was comfy and the view of the room was amazing. The updated bathroom was a wonderful surprise.

Where everything worked, it took a while to figure out the lighting system. Plus no trash can in room, only small trash can in bathroom. Chelsea Market is right across the street with ALL those wonderful eateries (and to go boxes). We had food containers piling up in the corner.
