Very interesting and unsual place to stay. I loved the nature around the house and alfresco sitting area. Taka-san was very nice, helpful and fun host, gave us a lift back to the station as well. The room itself was more like an attic, with a low ceiling, but full of light and comfortable. Not recommended for tall people, as you can hit your head. You can rent bicycles here as well, that was great, as we didn't have a car. Would stay again.

Bathroom needs more cleaning.

The breakfast was DIY and simple with plenty of juices but no cornflakes. Its a different kind of B&B most westerner's would expect in Japan, sort of unique really, in a nice setting. Querky even, and Taka (the host) was very helpful.

Given that it is a "different" type of B&B set up, nothing really. Would suit younger guests rather than older ones with limited luggage given the access to some rooms. Again for older people, its a good "hike" to local public transport and shops/restaurants, but no reflection on the establishment who can/do provide bike hire.

I had the most incredible holiday staying in the camper van in the beautiful lakes of Fuji. The picturesque surroundings and serene waters made for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What truly made this experience exceptional was my host Taka. He was friendly, kind and attentive, recommending places to visit. He kindly picked me up from the train station and when I checked out he drove me back to the train station free of charge. The camper van itself was well-equipped and comfortable, even during the colder nights the inside heater warmed the space. I can't recommend this holiday experience enough. If you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway, coupled with a welcoming and attentive host, the lakes of Fuji in a camper van is a great choice.

Nothing.

Everything was amazing, from the place itself, the accomodations, the service provided. The owner made us feel like we were home! It is the perfect place if you want to have a fun stay around Fuji-san. If I could I would rate it even higher ! Room was big enough even though we were 6, clean toilets, clean shower, literally nothing negative to say!

The only bad thing is that we only stayed one night ...

The accommodation was in a serene location right next to Mount Fuji with some local shops and a few restaueanrs around 750m away. Apartment is very well maintained with nice garden and well equipped. Taka San is very accommodating. He picked us up from Kawaguchiko station and dropped us off. We also rented bikes during our stay. They have a variety you can use. I am currently pregnant so I used the E-Bike which was the way to go and was a real bonus to the experience staying here. Taka san also made us a lunch pack and snacks for our day cruising around the lake. Breakfast was also good. They also have a lot of snacks coffee and teas available. Taka san showed us around the place making is feel right at home!

It’s a bit further away from main area of town which others might find a bit inconvenient if they want to be amongst it all but being away from everything is as quite splendid

I'm Thankful that I stood at Mr Taka property, I loved the atmosphere at Kakureyado Fujikawaguchiko and Mr Taka is such an welcoming host, thank you for having us! Mr Taka did everything as promised, and more. The property has an backyard with a beautiful garden, where we spent an amazing night with Mr Taka and other guests. The room was confortable, the bathroom was set with amenities, nothing to complain. The surroundings were superb, we rented bikes and had one real adventure, I'll never forget my stay in Fujikawaguchiko!!

Nothing to complain, wish I'd stay one more day :(

Our stay was so nice, the room is spacious and beds were very comfortable. There is plenty of areas to sit downstairs to sit and enjoy a coffee/breakfast. You can see Mt Fuji from the accomodation and there are trees all around. There is also hire bikes so you can explore the surrounding areas and a shopping centre close by. The host is really friendly and even picked us up/dropped off to the train station. We were given different Japanese snacks to try which was fun. He also owns a dog and cats which are friendly.

I stayed in the Caravan, and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was! My trip was in September, so while the days were hot, it cooled down at night to a nice sleeping temperature. There are USB outlets in the caravan, and electrical outlets outside that you can use to charge devices. The breakfast is served between 7:30 -9:30, just let the owner know what time you would like your breakfast and it will be ready! Also, as others mentioned there are tons of free snacks, as well as drinks such as coffee and tea. I was able to rent one of the bicycles (there are lots to choose from) and toured around the area! I had a wonderful time here, and would definitely recommend it!

The property is a little out of the way (which is nice because it is quiet), but it does make it harder to get around if you do not have a car, it is nice also that there are bikes available to rent on the property! The wifi didn't reach the caravan (at least not for my devices), however there is plenty of outside seating where the wifi worked great, so that wasn't really a problem.

Our host, Taka-san, was prompt in his responses via Booking.com and kindly picked and dropped us off at Kawaguchiko station. When we arrived, he also drove us around the area to show us the main spots that we could go to as well as convenience stores, supermarket and restaurants we could try. He also provided us with discount coupons for an onsen and the ropeway. The accommodation was fun, quiet and we really appreciated having access to the bicycles to get around on. Taka-san also provided breakfast for us between 7am and 9am, which made it easy to start the day. Thanks for having us, Taka-san!

It's a little far from the lake, but it's a nice forested area. It was quite easy to get around on the bikes so it was a non issue for us. The doorway into the room was also very small, but that just added to the quirkiness

It’s big, free facilites, has bike rental, is comfy and warm, everything. The host Taka is amazing, he lended me a Jacket due to the cold, plus took me from the Station to the house for free as well as taking me there on the checkout for free as well. There are cats!!! And a cute dog. The facility is like 10min walk from a family mart and Forest mall which is nice. Using bike the commute anywhere is easy, highly recommended. Would stay again. - Alex, 21yrs old
