This was a newly renovated hotel. The ambience created was relaxing. The onsen on the top floor with amazing views of Hakone was a plus along with passes to the water park Yunessun located across the road. The buffet offerings were wide.

Check out time was at 10am with a late check in time of 3pm. It would have been nice to have a later check out time like 11am or 12pm to allow time to enjoy the facilities. Also, the luggage service is cash on delivery which most means you pay the cost at your next hotel which all hotels do not accept. Whilst there was another option to go to Family Mart next door to provide the service, it was a bit inconvenient. Perhaps improvement can be made with check out time and luggage deliver service

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel and I’ll help to advertise it on my television channel. My only regret was not staying longer. I would also like to add if they could allow a shuttle bus from Hakone Yumoto station, you’ll receive an endless supply of clientele. That would boost this hotel. I’ll most definitely will come back here again and with family. Thank you very much for a superb stay.

The explanation of getting to the hotel. If travelling by the H bus, when getting off it should state the stop clearly on the bus. At 137 get off for ‘Hakone Kowakien Hotel‘. It got me completely confused and I missed my stop. Plus if the bus is full, you can’t see or hear the correct stop properly. This needs to be more clearer.

Breakfast was outstanding, rooms tiny but was that due to being a room held through an third party not direct?

size of room and bathroom . Once only one large case nd two arry on's were in the room there was no space left. The next door room was much larger. I do wonder if the room allocation through. bookings.com is kept to aa certain size and others are larger due to direct bookings through hotel or trvel agency. I could be wrong

We loved the central location that was easily accessible by public transport and the use of the hotels shuttle bus. It was great to have breakfast and dinner included and to have access to the Yunassen.

Our room was a little bit small but it was comfortable enough for 2 nights. The food selection at the buffet could be improved. There was a small selection and it was sometimes cold.

the breakfast and dinner buffets were exceptional. food was good and free alcoholic and soft drinks were all self-serve. the hotel public baths and hotl rooms were very clean and the hotel had a beautiful garden area. our stay came with free access to Yunessun which was only a 2 minute walk away from the front of the hotel and we had access to all of its facilities.

Free drinks, staff were very accommodating, and the rooms were very nice and spacious.

The breakfast food wasn’t good at all and although the staff tried to help, there weren’t many staff that spoke English. Had I known most of them don’t speak English, I would’ve booked elsewhere as I felt like a burden on the staff since I don’t speak very good Japanese.

"The open-air bath is newly renovated with a stunning minimal design. Good buffet breakfast and dinner.

it's worth noting that the hotel targets families with kids, so if you're seeking a quiet, relaxing stay, it may not be suitable. The buffet breakfast and dinner are good, but it can feel a bit like a rat race with kids running around, potentially creating a stressful atmosphere.

Such a relaxed stay, great facilities and amazing staff who could not be more helpful. Rooms were great and bed was so comfy! Best place we stayed in Japan 😊

Food was great, but personally I found the buffet-style stressful as very busy. I'd happily pay a little more to order from a menu to the table. Was delicious though with a huge range for all.

The hotel is newly renovated and rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The baths and garden are relaxing and the Japanese buffet breakfast was delicious! We also liked that the hotel is very family friendly. Most of all we liked that the manager took the time to explain combination of buses/train to take to get to our next destination. We really appreciated his kindness.

Nothing!

Buffet breakfast & dinner was included in the package. Onsen on the rooftop was nice. Rooms were spacious and bedding was comfortable if you are travelling with children. Museum of Art was 10 mins driving ride.

Too many tourists group. Location was up the hill, so having a car was necessary. Not many shops around.
