My husband chose the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. The experience was out of this world. The building is old world, the room was so spacious, and the view was magnificent. We were given a large room on 17th top floor with views across the town and mountains.

We are vegetarian and could not eat at the amazing restaurant for dinner. We went into town each night and found an amazing Vegetarian restaurant for dinner. It is important to book a table at most restaurants. We were able to eat the buffet breakfast.

We loved the public baths at the 5th and 7th floor with a great view of the mountains. Rooms were clean and very big.

The location isn't great but there's a free shuttle bus going very late to the station and centrum. When we were there only one of the restaurants in the hotel was open.

Nice property with great onsen located a little distance away from town. The shuttle buses operate till 9pm. Excellent breakfast. Be prepared as it can get very busy. Takayama is a pleasure to visit and provides insights into a earlier era. I think a bit off the beaten track.

Bit far from town, but not such a big deal.

We enjoyed that the Staffs were polite and hospitable towards us. The cleanliness and large spaces was superb.

The location is i think a bit far coming from Tokyo but is okay since it is near in Takayama Interchange. The most thing we didn’t enjoy was the breakfast since servings we’re to little and overly controlled.

We were given a room on the top floor, 17th floor with a breathtaking view of the Town and mountains. The room was so spacious. We could not stop taking in the view. The outdoor spa facilities were free and simply amazing.

Being Vegetarian, we could not eat at the amazing restaurant.

Highly recommend this hotel lovely spot with views the onsen was amazing and the best rooms we had in Japan large and comfy. Only ate at the cafe so didn’t try the restaurants as the food was great in town. The free shuttle to town was a bonus.

Very spacious rooms; exceptionally clean. A little out of town (short 5 min drive to old part of town) but with outstanding views of the town and the surrounds. Guest shop on premises.

Not all restaurants are open every night - check which are open to co-ordinate with your stay.

Onsen was wonderful, there are many kinds with a great view. Also the bed was very comfy. Staffs are very kind and prepare anything as much as they can. Also there are so huge choices in breakfast. Amazing!

Greatly enjoyed the bath spa at the resort, and the views and service were definitely worth every penny!

The rooms are centrally air conditioned, so some people might find it warm

the facility is perfect for relaxing specially the spa pool is outstanding I enjoyed to stay at the hotel the shuttle bus is very convenient and a driver is very kind & excellent service

I didn’t know that I can leave my luggage in the cafe at the station
