the hotel is very well located for visiting the downtown area and for accessing public transportation. the staff was very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay.

The building is a bit old but it was clean and efficient. The location of electric outlets in the room wasn’t very practical. Otherwise it was fine.

I stayed at Palace Hotel for one week in late July 2023. The hotel's location, just steps away from Revolution Square and within a hundred meters of Mexico City's main avenue, Paseo de la Reforma, made it a convenient place to sleep and safely store belongings. However, I found the overall comfort level to be somewhat lacking. The room was simple and functional, but not particularly luxurious. It had all the essentials and was adequately maintained, although morning noise from nearby construction sites proved to be disruptive. Moreover, not all TV channels worked properly, with some experiencing heavy interference or not functioning at all. Dining: Our rate didn't include meals, but we opted for the combo lunch once, which cost $120 MXN per person. It included a two-course meal (soup + main dish), orange juice, and dessert. Prime Location: Despite the drawbacks, the hotel's location was its main advantage. It was located just 50 meters from Revolution Square and a hundred meters from Paseo de la Reforma. Many major attractions, including the Revolution Monument, Angel of Independence, Diana the Huntress Fountain, and the Palace of Fine Arts, were within walking distance. Public transportation stops for Metrobuses, trolleybuses, and tour buses were conveniently close, and the area offered several Starbucks cafes, diverse restaurants, pharmacies, the large Reforma 222 shopping center, and banks.

Wi-Fi Issues: Initially, we were given a room with terrible Wi-Fi (1-2 Mbps). As we needed reliable internet for work, we requested a room change and were moved to one right opposite the router. However, the Wi-Fi performance remained unstable, rarely exceeding 10 Mbps, and often hovering around 5 Mbps. The lobby area offered slightly better Wi-Fi speeds (occasionally reaching 20 Mbps), but it was often noisy here. When we inquired about the Wi-Fi quality, a receptionist stated that "Wi-Fi is a complimentary service" and "it's not meant for work, only for phones", which was inconvenient, as using the local internet on our phones was problematic. As a result, we had to go to the nearest Starbucks or rely on mobile data for a stable internet connection. Key Card Issues and staff: Another recurring problem was that our key card stopped working after each cleaning session. We had to go to the reception to get it reprogrammed. Every time, the reception staff didn't offer any apologies for the inconvenience and simply asked for the room number before resolving the issue. The overall impression from the reception staff was somewhat negative. They were not very courteous or helpful, had limited English proficiency, and instead of addressing the Wi-Fi problem, they tried to explain it away as normal. But on the other hand, other staff members (luggage porters, cleaners and waiters in a restaurant) were always friendly, polite and welcoming.

The hotel is older, but maintained and clean. The location was good for my purposes. But because it is Downtown there is a lot of traffic and pedestrians noise. That doesn’t bother me. I found it clean and comfortable and reasonably good value. There is a restaurant attached. And other restaurants close by.

Nothing stood out as a problem.

For this price, nothing...

No WiFi, no A/C, noisy at night, everything is old and small. For little bit more you can stay at suite with kitchen. Nothing good in this hotel
