Hotel Fontan Reforma Centro Historico

Actually this hotel is great value for money. A spacious room and and a very large bed. Perfectly situated at the Paseo de la Reforma and at the corner of the Centro Historico quarter and next to Alameda parc. Friendly service at the front desk en really excellent service (quality with a real smile) and breakfast (various tasteful options). The chef that runs the restaurant is really great. Not only does he (with his staf) provide you tasty food, his friendly attitude and the smile on his face while running the place makes it a joy having breakfast here!

The rooftop bar (which could be a great location for a evening drink) is unfortunately to often limited for hotel guest due to “private” party’s or happenings (however Cerveceria Barrio Alsmeda 7min walk away and at Avenida Juarez is a perfect alternative for your evening drink. Maybe not the view but top atmosphere, service and drinks nevertheless :-) )

the location is perfect to visit different touristic places, everything is within walking distance. Thus you can take public transportation very easy.

it stinks right next to the hotel. it made me puke first time . the stench is always there. it also affects the lobby of the hotel. the taxis and touristic plans are more expensive if you get them in the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent and was well-worth including in my reservation. The restaurant and roof-top bar/restaurant were both exceptional. The rooftop bar has a stunning few, excellent food, and cocktails. Staff were excellent. I also appreciated their environmentally friendly practices.

The restaurant, roof-top bar, cafe, and reception area were very stylish. My room didn't quite meet the same standards in terms of the quality of furnishings and bedding, but it was very modern and cute. There was just a slight disconnect. I would definitely stay there again because it was a great value. The location, dining options, and staff were terrific.

I’ve been multiple times on this hotel and what always brings me back is the excellent location, great staff and access to public transportation, literally you are in the hearth of the city. Espectacular view from the rooftop and it is great to see that finally after many years of staying on a property under constant updates and work in progress, now it is totally updated, I really recommend this hotel for your trip to CDMX

pillows and bed were uncomfortable, after a few days sleeping on them you feel like you are slipping on a rock. The restaurant’s front desk had a very bad attitude while explaining how the breakfast works and the price (don’t remember her name) that doesn’t fit the great job the rest of the staff was doing, however we spoke to the manager and he was able to provide the answers and the service that I was expecting from the whole team, kudos to him.

I REALLY appreciated that they had water containers in the lobby of each floor, to help reduce single use plastic waste. Very few hotels do this voluntarily, and I don't enjoy having to always call someone and ask for my reusable bottle to be refilled. The room itself is basic but comfortable, with a nicely functioning air/AC system. I didn't opt in for the breakfast, so not sure how good that is, but I really liked the coffee packets they provided for the room (Not Nestle brand, so another plus). The staff were friendly enough most of the time. Sometimes it was a little annoying that they wouldn't follow-up on a request proactively but it's nothind second friendly call to reception couldn't fix. I REALLY liked that it was only a block away from Alameda Central and very close to Zocalo, both which lit up at night time. It was great to be able to be in the thick of a lively crowd in just a few minutes' walk. It's also right off the main central road in the city, and so you can walk directly out of the hotel and down the Paseo de la Reforma instantly.

It's more of a note than a true dislike, but it felt like the ceilings were a little low and the shower pressure was not strong. Also, when I gave some clothes for laundry, they almost misplaced one item, so make sure to remember exactly what you gave to them if you use that service.

The hotel has built a very nice concept around. We loved the decorations, the location, the view from our room and the excellent breakfast. The staff was always really helpful and, starting from the "portero", everyone was always very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are very nice and clean at all times.

Our room was located in front of the elevator which made difficult to have a good rest during the night as people were arriving from their parties on Saturday night. Next time we'll request a more quite place.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our time there a lot and had a lovely view. The place was conveniently located to many awesome sites giving us an opportunity to tour many museums and parks.

There is not much accommodation for vegetarians. We were given a veg menu but it took them hours for room service and I did not get a replacement meal until nearly midnight after being informed that they did not have the veggie option I ordered almost 1.5 hours after my order. They were polite to refund the cost and had good customer service throughout!

I enjoyed the centralized location of the hotel. It was close to everything whether you wanted to walk or take an uber. The metro was also right across the street, which was a positive. The breakfast buffet offered many options which both my husband and i enjoyed. The room was very spacious. What we did love was the rooftop bar, they had a DJ, blankets in case you got cold and a variety of drinks.

I did not like that I had requested and paid for a King Size bed and was given 2 separate double beds. This was the only negative.

It looks nice and it is clean the view was very nice, some of the staff members were meh, but most super nice. Security staff at the front was very nice, polite and helpful. Good food but not to order all the time.

Left us with out cleaning the room couple of times. No ice available, no central AC and with the heat the room was warm. Beds are not comfortable. No pool, lights up the 12 floor hall were completely off when we get there and is not the safest thing.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, onsite restaurants and bars had great food/drinks (some of the food was a little bland though), great views, nice and modern looking hotel, clean, well stocked, and updated looknand feel. The proximity to the park, shopping, taquerias, resturants, China Town, clubs, and other points of interest all in walking distance. Didi and Uber are cheap and made getting around to see other areas easy. But the Bellboys and other staff are what made the stay. There is always a taxi nearby and they will help negotiate the price. There is also tours that leave from here and that made it easy and convenient to meet people and know you are getting a legit service. Would absolutely book here again!

The only issue I had was that my room didnt have a fire alarm in it. I didn't notice til the night before I was leaving. There was a spot for it, it just want there. I never called to fix the issue because it was close to my checkout date. Thankfully I didnt need it.
