La Palomilla Bed & Breakfast

The staff is simply amazing and they make you feel home. They are super kind and available and they prepare amazing breakfasts, while sharing the best tips and helping organizing the best activities. Each room is different and it is a full immersion in the Mexican culture. The location is great. We stayed there 4 nights before going to Puerto Escondido and decided to spend the last night again here, before leaving back to Europe.

We booked a double room and only once we got there we realized it had a private external bathroom, which we weren’t expecting, probably for the price of the room.

The breakfast was splendid with a cooked option which changed daily. The area where La Palomilla is positioned is quiet and pretty. The decoration has been selected with great attention to detail. This was a very personal experience, unlike you get in a large hotel.

The room got a little too hot at night as there was only a fan, so didn’t sleep well first night. Opened the blind and repositioned the fan, so nights 2 and 3 were ok

Breakfast was fabulous - a different local dish every day. All delicious. Seated with other guests - all friendly. Fabulous location. Attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Also really appreciated the very late checkout we were given for our evening flight.

Nothing we didn’t like, but we could have benefited from a little more obvious help being available with planning day trips.

We highly recommend this accommodation - especially for first timers in Mexico. We were warmly welcomed and felt safe and comfortable during our whole stay. There were beautiful homely touches, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was good, there was unlimited filtered water provided and the breakfasts were fresh and delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Edwardo (who spoke fluent English). Edwardo helped us with all our questions, he went above and beyond. The location of the accommodation is safe and is walking distance for cafes and restaurants.

The location was awesome! We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere in Roma Norte and into La Condesa. The B&B is also located on a quiet street. The breakfast and snacks were also delicious and nice to start each morning.

The WiFi was pretty poor in the bedroom and so we would have to go to the upstairs terrace to use our laptops/phones. The noise in the building travels. For example, we were on the 3rd floor and could hear noise from downstairs. At night, this was never a problem, but it wasn't as private as I had hoped.

I loved Palomilla. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge and modern. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I would stay again for sure.

Internal rooms are a bit warm when it's hot out since you don't get the breeze. Fans are provided and that is helpful.

The front desk person was extremely helpful. The whole place was very clean and comfortable.

The WiFi did not work very well, especially at night. This was very frustrating because we wanted to make plans for the following days. I guess I didn’t understand and was surprised that the included breakfast was a tiny tiny bit of fruit, toast and coffee/juice. Apparently you could buy a bit more breakfast for I think US $15 but we didn’t do this.

The staff was nothing short of wonderful and incredibly kind and thoughtful. Location was close to everything we needed. Rooms were clean and well stocked. We liked it so much we booked twice and spent a little extra time in the city!

Really recommend this venue. We came back here after some days in Puerto Escondido and Eduardo and the staff were once again super nice. Amazing and seasonal breakfast which make you feel at home
