The location was excellent. I felt totally safe there. There are two large parks right across the street and lots of trees and people with their dogs. They love dogs in the area. It is a very quiet and beautiful spot. The staff was excellent. I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and the staff was very professional. The food was excellent.

The restaurant was closed for 4 days out of my 9, which was very annoying. They did offer a box lunch since I couldn't have breakfast, but I preferred the breakfast. It wouldn't be a good place to stay in the summer since there is no air conditioning. It was fine during the cold of February.

The location was ideal especially with a beautiful park across the street. The decor and charm of the hotel was a perfect blend of Mexican chic with contemporary touches. Breakfast included in the room rate was a great value and the restaurant was beautifully situated peeking out over the park. The staff was helpful, gracious, friendly and all around welcoming.

The layout of the building means most rooms (except for suites) have no windows and no fans. There's no air ventilation so it meant keeping the door open sometimes. A ceiling fan would help solve this problem. Also, there's no public seating area where someone can sit with a laptop, read a book or have a conversation. There is a "working lounge" area adjacent to the restaurant, but it wasn't available for guests' use. Because the rooms are small, a common area would be helpful.

I read some really negative reviews here and was concerned, but now that I’ve stated there I don’t know what those people are on about, I loved this hotel! It’s quirky and beautiful, feels uniquely Mexican, the staff were all amazing, the rooms were comfy and totally fine for the affordability, and the location was unbeatable for Condesa (across from the main park, with corners full of incredible cafes and bars either side of it). The rooftop restaraunt and bar is genuinely worth going to (I’d go for a late night dinner and drink to live jazz even if I wasn’t staying there). I have zero complaints but one (see below!)

They wouldn’t let us sit at the great tables in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the park for breakfast, and we couldn’t figure out why until we realised they were keeping them for the public who hadn’t paid for their meals already. Sorry, but as paying guests, we should be allowed to sit there.

Service was A1! Staff was always attentive and always made sure they made our stay great. Breakfast was a bit limited but everything on the menu was really good , especially the coffee. Room had everything we needed and bed was comfy. Location location location! Everything was only a few minutes away walking; coffee shops , restaurants, parks , bars.

The only thing that we did not like was that our room felt a bit suffocated because of it lack of windows and no fans in the room so after a shower the room felt a but humid.

Exceptional location and value. Only complaint was the hot water didn't work some nights, I gather a long standing problem for this property. But the staff upgraded us for free on a return stay to a magnificent suite just to be nice. Great breakfast, incredible treetop open air terrace. Fantastic art deco decor. Don't come here expecting forced air and carpet and gringo comforts but if you love a signature one of a kind very Mexican stay, this place is for you. Entirely a one of a kind property in an incredible location right on one of the biggest loveliest parks in Mexico City. Bring your long underwear and ask for a space heater in winter but you will still love it.

Hot water and heat were marginal. But it's because the property is an antique and has not been gringo-ized. Wear a sweater and revel. The hot water worked some nights and not others.

This vibrant hotel is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the city. We noticed each time we came back to the area, the calm that was here. The parks opposite the hotel were a huge highlight. Once inside you enjoyed the decor and the staff, all bright and friendly. We had a room on the second floor, by the stairs. It was a little on the loud side but it was our first stay in Mexico and I came to learn all hotels are on the louder side! It didn’t disturb our stay in general just something we noticed. The room was large and the addition of a kitchen was an unexpected bonus. We loved the details, the colours and patterns. The kitchen came with coffee, water and a snack each day, much appreciated. Also a fridge. The bathroom was a walk-in shower. Standard.

As mentioned it was our first hotel stay in Mexico, we came to learn it is very common to have a window onto the inner courtyard. This takes a little getting used to and for us we wanted a little more privacy. This is something when you know, you can plan/ask for.

great location in condesa, very accessible to the whole city; beautiful hotel design and nice terrace restaurant. Appreciated the teddy bears. Staff is very helpful.

No AC and poor air circulation in rooms without open windows meant it was quite hot at night. The rooms need ceiling fans. Room layout is very cosy with the kitchenette. For breakfast, you have to go downstairs to get a coupon, then up three flights of stairs to the restaurant. This could be hard for visitors who are not used to the altitude; it would be better if you could go straight to the restaurant.

The location of this hotel is exceptional, walking to most areas was easy. The restaurant/bar has excellent service and overlooks the park. The room is basic but has everything you need and who wants to stay in their room when you can be outside in the park or walking around the city. Cabs/Uber are easy and get you to wherever you need to be if you don't want to walk.

I note that some people complain about the breakfast. I enjoyed the breakfast but don't eat alot in the morning, they have eggs done many ways along with pastries and excellent coffee so I was very satisfied.

The hotel is filled with beautiful folk art. The location is perfect - right on Parque Mexico, with beautiful foliage and many people enjoying the cool outdoors on the weekend. This is a perfect area to relax and people watch. The breakfast ( every day but Monday) in the rooftop restaurant is delicious, and the restaurant is gorgeous with treetop views of the park. The bed was super comfortable. There were many nice coffee shops, sidewalk cafes, and restaurants nearby.

The bathroom was pretty outdated - even for a traditional hotel. It functioned fine, but the fixtures were pretty worn. The room key was attached to a large piece of wood and had to be left at the front desk every time you leave. In hindsight, I assume this is just their way of managing who accesses their building, and is not really an issue.

Loved the location! The Parque de Mexico was right outside with lots of people watching and activity, and I walked over to Chapultepec and the sights there. Tons of restaurants within walking distance and the neighborhood felt very safe, even later in the evening. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. Loved the complimentary bottled water! The rooftop breakfast was delicious and the view incredible. I also loved the art all over the hotel - it gave a great vibe.

I booked a ride from the airport in advance and had asked if they would take card or if I had to get cash. The hotel responded and said card or cash would work, but the driver was unable to accept the card and ultimately I had to get cash to pay for it. It would have been good for them to tell me I would need cash when I asked about it.
