The room was clean, no smell, good shower and bed. Location was good and the subway was close. Very close to the Charging Bull.

At check-in, the attendant informed that it was necessary to make payment in advance to be careful in case something in the apartment was damaged, but if everything was fine they would refund the money directly to the credit card. The fact is that they did not return the money and also did not respond to the message I sent asking for a refund. I'm still waiting. I would like someone responsible for Marriot to read my request and refund the money. I'm sure it was a mistake and unintentional.

location is excellent, room is comfortable and clean

in lower floor rooms on one side that are close to the giant outside part of the central AC, you can’t open a window, it is as loud as a jet engine outside

Great location, nice atmosphere and appearance, friendly staff, room was decent size, and bathrooms/shower was really nice as well. Clean and maintained well. Lots of counter space and shelves for all your stuff. Love the full size bottles in the shower, of shampoo/conditioner/body wash (nice scent!). Bed was very comfortable. Not a lot of noise heard from outside, more from neighboring inconsiderate guests. Nice selection of snacks, beverages, and cute little mini haagen daaz ice cream, in the lobby area. Breakfast available at an additional charge, we didn't end up trying as it was over by the time we woke up lol

Pillows were not very good, not firm at all. Too much noise from surrounding guests/rooms. Elevator took too long. We had requested a lower floor, but was told our room was booked upon arrival, even though booking and time of arrival was confirmed.

We really liked the location - close to the ferries to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Staten Island, the Financial District and the World Trade Centre. Three different metro stops in five minute proximity. Breakfast included.

There was renovation of the ground floor at the time we stayed (early to mid August) which was not communicated in advance. If you wanted to sleep in the afternoon, you could not due to the noise. The breakfast was OK but it was always the same - a bagel, a pastry, fruit yoghurt, sugary cereal. Options without so much sugar would have been nice. The elevators were taking ages but I guess expected given the 24 floors served by two lifts.

I really liked the hotel. Amazing location, comfortable room and very friendly staff. Would stay there again and even recommend it, even though I had some problems with the breakfast.

My reservation had breakfast included and there was no breakfast at all at the hotel - the first morning, I went downstairs and asked for the breakfast and was handled a menu, they said that if I wanted something, I'd have to order/pay for it. So I felt wronged and this really bothered me, since I had to spent extra money and time buying breakfast elsewhere. Also, the acoustics of the room were very bad - one day I woke up at 5am because my neighbours were singing very loudly. I also could hear them the night before talking in their room.

location was great the subway is right outside the door.

you have to ASK for the room to be cleaned which I wasn't aware of. we stayed 2 nights and our room wasn't cleaned and then I noticed on the TV it said you have to ask for it which is strange and also that the staff don't mention it but the TV is the place you learn it. so no towels, soap etc.

So many things to love about this stay. First off, its literally at the top of the stairs from the subway. On hot/cold/snowy/rainy days you need to traverse only 25 feet outside. From the time I got on the train at home, the next time I had to deal with any weather were those 25 feet. Its two blocks from the WTC if that's on your list, or even if it isn't. Its one subway stop away from South Ferry as well. The location was perfect.

My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that I was very confused about breakfast. The website and even the confirmation email I received said that it's a toned down grab n' go, but much to my extreme happy surprise, there were breakfast sandwiches, cereals, table space, the works. I think maybe the waffle irons were off, but the rest seemed like it was all there. I don't think I understood the times either. The literature all says 7-9 AM, but when we walked in at 7:50, most of the items were not out yet. By 8 AM, however, the place was fully stocked. It seems to me that the actual opening was 8AM. Not that it mattered to me, but had I had to head out at say, 7:15 I would have not been able to eat.

The location is very good. The Rector St. subway station is so accesible to everything without having to change trains which is good for tourist not familiar with the subway system. Takes you strait to Times Square and other tourist areas. The hotel is only a few blocks from the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Museum so you can walk. The location is not very busy with tourists or traffic so it is not loud at all. Our favorite thing was how accesible the subway is from this hotel.

The hotel was being renovated so no breakfast area. They have to go breakfast but it is not very good at all. The rooms are small and don't have much space to put any luggage or leave personal belongings where they don't get in the way. We only had two carry-on bags and even that was a challenge. The bed was okay in comfort but the pillows were pretty bad. The biggest issue we had was the A/C unit. It was cold weather when we went so we had the heater on which worked fine but the fan would turn on and off so much and it was so loud. The fan (even on low) would make the room so hot. But if we turned the heater off or lowered it the room would get so cold right away so we were hot and cold and frustrated. Also, not many options for food in the evenings/late night.

We loved the location of the hotel in the Battery Park area. It was perfectly situated to visit the many local attractions, shopping, restaurants. The fact that one of the main subway lines is literally right out the front door was great, giving visitors easy access to the whole city. This part of the city is also a bit quieter and more low key than further uptown, which may be a plus for some.

This was our first hotel stay since the pandemic. While we expected some changes, we didn't appreciate that there was no housekeeping service during our stay. I attribute this change at this point less to safety concerns than to a money saving exercise by the hotel chain. We were not informed that there would be no housekeeping. The hotel is also undergoing renovations, which can be a good thing, but that meant that the included breakfast was only available as "grab and go" - take it up to eat in the room, a practice which is less than pleasant, especially since with no housekeeping service, I imagine the trash would just pile up in the room! (We elected to go out for breakfasts.)

Hotel is on great location, very close to different metro stations (so you can reach every corner of the city easily), close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Room is very comfortable and clean. Smart TV and view is good benefit. no noise from the street.

Breakfast... Breakfast for us was complete fail. you have to take breakfast to the room and eat there. there was very limited offer what to choose (cereals, bagel, if you are lucky muffin, coffee, tea, milk, juice). after 2 days we rather bought breakfast in a shop. Cleaning the room was done twice instead of 4 times.
