Mint House at 70 Pine

The space in the rooms is excellent, especially for New York. If you don't mind being in the financial district, the location is excellent as wll. A subway station is located dirctly beside the hotel, a supermarket in the building and lots of restaurants near by. To have a kitchen in the room is definitely a bonus.

The largest downside is, that the cleaning of the room is miserable. All they really do is make the bed and do the sink in the bathroom. We stayed one week and the floor never got vacuum-cleaned nor wiped. The bathtub/shower was not touched either. For a house like that, that's not acceptable. The price is quite high but hey, you're in New York.

Room for very spacious. Like 2 NYC Time Square rooms in one big. 6 min walk to Stone Street. About 10 minutes walk to battery park and the piers. Was able to go to rooftop restaurant Overstory and the view was gorgeous. Bed was comfortable and the black out shade actually blacked out all the light in the morning.

The hotel has pictures of people all of it but in the room there were 2 pictures that were a little creepy. One was of a face but the focus was on her eyes so at night it was a little scary to look at.

We stayed in a Studio; very well-appointed room -- the vinyl LP player with albums was a real treat. Kitchen was best I've seen in a commercial property (have stayed in many brands like Residence Inn and Staybridge Suites). Walking distance to the SI ferry, various subway lines, lower Broadway, and even TriBeCa. Decent assortment of restaurants and stores open 7 days, even in the Wall St. district. Inside, seems well constructed and we didn't hear our neighbors. Daily 'lite' housekeeping.

NYC noise, ongoing construction of streets and buildings, nothing the property can do about the stereotypical horn-honking. Because the hotel property only goes up to the 6th floor, you're closer to the 'action' than you might be in a high-rise hotel, even though Pine St. (which our room faced) is one of the less noisy streets.

Super Spacious room, comfortable bed, modern decor. Great having a fully equipped kitchen! The supermarket in the ground floor of the building was super convenient. Great access to subway lines, and easy to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty boats etc.

Wall Street feels desolate at night. Didn’t feel unsafe at all, but it just felt a bit bleak and empty in the area. Not as many good restaurants as in other areas of the city…. it was fine but you just have to plan your eating a bit.

I’d give this place 11/10! This is an incredibly spacious place for New York. Stayed here for 5 nights. We had a friend who’s local visit us and he was shocked at how big the unit is. Everything was spotless and I’m a bit of a neat freak, so that is probably the greatest compliment I can give MINT. It’s most likely because they have a 3-person team cleaning the rooms.😁 Location wise, not only is it close to everything in the financial district, a top rated grocery store is in the building! It’s like a mini Whole Foods - complete, had everything we needed. The unit itself had all the essentials that are of great quality,.... - there was drinking water in boxes and cookies to welcome us - great coffee and teas with several types of sweeteners, creamer - loved the kettle and coffee brewer that’s a pour over - there was a kit that contained masks, sanitizers, etc - shampoo, conditioner, & body wash are in dispensers and they’re great quality, too - I really enjoyed the record player - need and sofa beds that out teens slept on were all comfortable You get the pic.... this will be our go to in NYC!

Apartment was HUGE and in mint condition [ super modern ], daily cleaning service. Kitchen was fabulous. Laundry service avail which was great. Apartment block is 2 min from Wall Street station. Shop at corner of block. Walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 Memorial and Museums. Ferry to Statue of Liberty also close by. Hop on Hop off bus stop 7 min away. Real easy to travel to Upper / Midtown Manhattan.

Mint House is set in a amazing building at Pine Street. I have Ben visiting this hotel in its various guises as 70 Pine, Lyric, and Mint House. The rooms especially those above floor 4 are exceptional in terms of design, decor and equipment. For me the location is amazing far away from madness of midtown, a subway directly opposite and walking a 30 minute walk to areas such as Chinatown, Mulberry Street, TriBeCa whilst being very close to the WT complex, Wall Street and the Old Sea Port. Black Fox cofeee whilst offering Wall St prices is exceptional and the buildings Gym is rarely busy and has a everything you need. City Acres market for groceries if required is amazing as well as its takeway meal offering I don’t think I have ever seen such a range of choices.

Had some issues with the heating system which periodically generated an incredibly loud noise which always woke me from sleep. It was always difficult to set a comfortable temperature. In recent issues had some service related issues which ultimately were resolved. Staff in the first instance try to be helpful. The last two trips I have encountered issues with the heating/air con system but this is NYC both in the winter and summer it’s not uncommon to experience issues, in either case I didn’t freeze and I wasn’t too hot. Their is an argument to made that maybe the level of service was better in the hotels previous guise but either way I can’t see myself at any other location whilst in NYC

Very clean, new appliances, very well stocked apartments with a little touch of something special that makes it cozy The staff were able to solve my problem ( I wanted the window to open), which was amazing Great location minutes from the Fulton cafes

Spacious and stylish apartament, very well equipped, there is everything you need. Excellent location, close to the subway, lots of cafes and restaurants around. Complimentary coffee, tea and water.

There were just one small window for whole apartment what makes it dark during the day. Very noisy outside in the middle of the night - there are garbage trucks? passing every night around 1-2am making horrible noise for almost 1h! Pine str doesnt look busy but the night noise is frustrating.

Exceptional customer service and great space for families and friends in the middle of the city.

It took a while to find the entrance and the traffic on that narrow street would literally halt if you stop your car by entrance to get the luggage out. You have to be really quick. Also, there was no vallet service or porter to help with luggage.
