Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/Manhattan Downtown

This hotel is in the financial district, opposite the Statten Island Ferry Terminal, and Battery Park. It is only a short walk to the subway stations, and many tourist attractions. It is quiet on the weekends, and many shops and eating places are closed after 5 and on weekends. The hotel was comfortable, the beds were great, and the cleaning staff and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We felt this location was good for us, as we don't enjoy a lot of noise and we don't stay out late at night. There is a guest laundry, which was a nice surprise.

The breakfast buffet is not worth the effort or the expense. We were very disappointed, especially after experiencing European breakfast buffets. We could have chosen a breakfast off the menu, but we were short on time, and there was only 1 person trying to take orders and serve, and we faced too long a wait. There is a Dunkin Donuts, a Subway and a great cafe (The Black Fox) within a short walk from the Hotel.

The hotel compensated us for the breakfast, which was great. The view of the water was great. The staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Breakfast should definitely be included as most hotels that we use. Also, the style of the bathroom door was awful. It was a sliding barn type door that was not secure and cumbersome to get closed for privacy. There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the lighting was not good for women applying makeup, etc and the shower temperature plate was loose and did not stay in place so we could determine what was hot or cold. Shower head could definitely be upgraded. The ice machine was not working. Lastly, the room was smaller than expected.

The room was amazing. Great view of the bay despite there being a big building Infront. Very clean, comfortable beds, great bathrooms, smooth check-in.

The breakfast. Although it was a free add-on, It was the worst breakfast I ever had. The things I ordered took years to come, it was really cramped, the milk was placed in 2 small bottles and was finished and I had to ask one of two staff to refill it. The coffee was missing, again had to request someone to get it, and it took like 15 mins to come. The juice was to be ordered, but there were just 2 people running around, managing all the guests hence I didn't even bother. Was so annoying on the 2 days that I didn't even go to a free breakfast. That's quite amazing for a person who is as cheap as me😂

Location is great! View is great. Restaurants nearby and access to subway and ferry. Lower Manhattan tourist spots and it’s quiet at night. Comfortable bed and pillows. Reception staff nice.

Our room was extremely small. I’m an awkward corner near loud elevator. Broken shower door so water running all over bathroom floor. We just soaked up with towels. They did bring me more towels and took the soaked ones away. Also, ugly carpet stains. We must have had a bad room, seems other rooms may be better. Chef was rude and barking at staff (which was only 2 ppl, one who had zero experience, terribly short staffed). Our order was messed up, but I didn’t want to send it back due to time and fear the chef would yell at our kind waitress. The other staff member was just trying to help, but had no idea what he was doing. Agree with others, that deposit of $50 unnecessary. Seems hidden fees, etc. Maybe that’s this Booking site and not Hilton directly. Read fine print.

The front desk staff were fabulous! Especially Shantelle and Victor ( great directions from JFK!)and the other gentleman) and women who were welcoming and friendly and helpful always!

Mark made it right, but we did have to ask 3x in one day to have room cleaned/made up.

Hilton hotels are always nice. I checked a lot of other hotels before arriving to New York but most of reviews were negative. My room was just perfect, really clean and cozy. The cleaning was every single day. Friendly and helpful staff was ready to help any moment. Excellent beds and pillows. We had a room with water view. It was a bit more expensive, but we were happy with our choice.

There are two options for breakfast: a la carta or buffet. As for me, the buffet had not enough variety of food.

The wait was extremely long for breakfast. We had to leave the second morning to head back to the airport, so we were not able to wait and enjoy our food. Had to ask the front desk to have someone to vacuum the hall because there was a lot of trash.

It was very comfortable, the personnel was very kind and fast for every demand. the room was very spacious, perfectly clean and with a great view on the Staten Island ferry. excellent location near the charging bull.

We were attending a wedding and reception in the area and we chose the hotel due to its proximity to the reception. The location was great, the hotel was easy to find and the reception staff was very efficient and attentive. The King room was spacious and had the standard amenities - wifi, connectivity, minifridge, coffee machine, closet, etc. We ran into a wardrobe issue and the staff responded immediately and got us on our way to the reception without a delay. It's definitely a place to consider if we're ever in the Wall Street area again.

I have no words, this place is truly a home away from home. from the moment I stepped foot and was greeted by a smiling Steven and An to having Michael and Ameena book me a taxi to JFK. I truly loved my stay so much, and they made me feel like a queen. Whether it was for water or housekeeping, everything was perfect. I will always come back here when I’m in NYC. I honestly loved my stay so much I wanted to cry when I left. Again thank you guys so much!! Shout out to Ameena, Michael, Steven and An because they’re the one that made me feel at home. Also a special shout out to one of the lovely manager, Antonio Martinez for coming to my room and offering me a lovely bottle of Merlot, it truly made me feel special. Don’t forget me guys, I will be back very soon.
